Dystonia is a disorder involving too much or excessive muscle activity. It can affect almost any part of the body including but not limited to the limbs, trunk, neck, face, eyes and even the vocal chords. Dystonia can affect one part of the body, which describes 'focal' dystonia, or it can affect many parts of the body, as in 'generalized' dystonia.
Migraine is described as a recurrent headache lasting 4-72 hours. Migraine headaches afflict about 28 million people in the United States alone. As many as 6% of all men and up to 18% of all women (about 12% of the population as a whole) experience a migraine headache at some time. Roughly three out of four migraine sufferers are female.

Dr. Bryan is amazing, kind, and patient! The front desk staff is clueless and that's only when you can get ahold of them. They've had to reschedule almost every appointment I've ever had. They also don't have a line for existing patients. It takes 3 minutes to just get through all the virtual messages for new patients before I can sit on hold. My average wait time to talk to someone for a simple question (like confirming which office the appt is since they don't mention it in the million emails and texts they send you to confirm the appt) is 30 minutes.
I get anxiety every time I have to call. I've never been able to get their online portal to work for me or else I would use that instead.if I didn't love Dr. Bryan so much I would never come here again.

I will never use this firm again. The office manager was yelling across the reception area because i forgot my wallet last week. I have been going there for over 7 years. "Don forget your wallet again", she repeated it like i was a slow person. She made sure everyone in the area heard. Then she handed me payment requests even though i told her i forgot my wallet.
Good doctors but very bad manager. I am never going back again. I will report to relevant authorities. my copay is $15 and i am fully paid but that woman treated me like i was stealing. This is a doctor's office not a salvage yard.

I've never been so distraught by a phone call in my life. I havent even had a chance to set foot in this office yet and was called today at 9:20 am by someone trying to convince me to cancel my appointment with Dr. Bryan or schedule it with someone else. The lady was rude starting from "hello" all the way up till the "goodbye" and even had the audacity to tell me that I can't decide what I'm feeling, only the doctor can make that choice. Is that even rightful to suggest to a new oncoming patient? the only reason I maintained this appointment is because I want to make sure I'm heard and advocating for my health.
As someone who works with healthcare clients regularly, I am thoroughly disappointed- SHE, whoever she was that I spoke with, is part of what's wrong with our healthcare system. Do better.

Good luck trying to make an appointment on the phone. I was on the phone for over 15 minutes and finally hung up because nobody answered. I'm also being told that my insurance is a high deductible plan and because of that they are going to bill me up front. Nobody has ever done this before. Normally you bill the insurance and then the insurance bills the patient.

Customer service and online portal are really horrible. I was recommended here by another doctor as a referral. I had to call in to make an appointment. The customer service representative was extremely rude and unprofessional, commenting on my reason for coming in- "WOW! That's bad." Representative did not speak clearly and took 20 minutes to ask for all of my information for my appointment- all first appointments are online consultation.
She said she was creating a profile for me and filling in my information (insurance, reason for coming in, referring doctor, etc.). The online platform asks the exact same thing and requires that you fill it in at least 24 hrs in advance. Not to mention, the profile the customer service representative made for me spelled my name wrong.

Sad to see all the bad reviews here. Dr. Simsarian and all of the staff at Neurology Center of Fairfax are responsible for my current good health. They are quick to respond, organized, and always reach out to me when needed. In addition, I feel that I am in expert hands with my Multiple Sclerosis care because they stay up-to-date with the research and take time to explain complex medical concepts.

I have a patient of the Neurology Center of Fairfax for about 10 years now and I am very happy with my Doctors. I see Dr. Cho for sleep medicine and Dr. Churchill for neurologic issues and both are outstanding physicians. They both take the time to explain everything and have a great bed side manner, they also take the research I've performed on my issue and talk things through with me. Yes, it is challenging to get or change an appointment as the phone tree is lengthy and hold times are long but once you get an office staff member on the phone, I always receive the best care and support!

I've been coming to Neurology Center of Fairfax since the early 90's, and I've never had anything close to the negative experiences mentioned here by others. Nor have I ever witnessed one. My doctor is excellent and professional, and had he not been I would have left many years ago. Same goes for the staff in the office. I've never had a problem, and when I have a question, they respond.
In fact, I sent in a message this morning via the patient portal, and I received a call back in short order because more information on my issue was required. My doctor also messaged back via the patient portal. My experiences here have been top notch, and I recommend them without reservation.
