Always at the forefront of research and technology, Dr. Haddad is well respected in his field and recognized as a leader in vision correction. Dr. Haddad, a native New Yorker, received his medical degree from New York Medical College in 1983. Upon completion of his specialty training at Wayne State University's Kresge Eye Institute and ophthalmology board certification, he decided to stay in the area and raise his family of four in Metro-Detroit, where he founded the Laser Eye Institute in 1987.
Dr. Haddad was great! The entire staff was very nice and helpful! I was extremely nervous about the entire experience and they sat down and talked with me and took their time. I have 20/15 vision after a few weeks since smile and I love it! Couldn't ask for anything better from that team! Dr. Haddad and Dr. Rautio are awesome!

Dr. Haddad is a great doctor and person. The office is clean and tidy, so that's also a plus. However, there are a few downsides of this facility. For one, techs lack skill and knowledge. I am over one month post op and my vision in my left eye is slightly worse then my right eye - the tech blamed it on me having dry eyes and not using drops appropriately.
The wait time here is astronomical - my appointment was at 10:30am and no one even bothered calling me or checking on me until past 11:45am AFTER I got up and complained. It's sad that the staff here shun the expertise of Dr. Haddad. I hope they can improve in these areas.

Dr. Haddad and the staffs here are really amazing. They make you feel comfortable and answer all your questions. If you are looking for a vision correction this is the place to go. Dr. Haddad is an expert. I am really happy with my results, I was able to do my normal light activities the next day itself without any pain. The only regret i have is that I could have done this smile procedure sooner in my life.

Morning after surgery. Woke up, could see, just as clear as if contacts were already in. Was amazing. 35 years old. Started wearing glasses in first grade. Almost cried, was so happy! Surgery was completely painless. Dr. Haddad made me feel comfortable, the moment I met him. Trust him completely. He corrected 9.5 using SMILE precedure

Update: FRONT DESK STAFF NEEDS TO BE TRAINED SPECIALLY whomever worked on 11/22/19 Everything went great until I had to pay. They charged me $100 more for some fee and the Dr said it was included in the price. I was referred by 2 friends and didn't get those discounts either. After surgery you feel like sand is in your eyes and you won't be able to control them getting watery it won't last long.
I believe I'm having a side effect which is chronic dry eyes and I have to wait 3 days for them to see me. All I can do it put artificial eye drops until future notice. I wish they could take this more serious knowing that he was aware of this at one of my follow up appt. I am honestly worried about how much this would cost me physically not financially.

I went to a couple different consultations for Lasik before going to Laser Eye Institute. After I went to Laser Eye Institute, met Dr. Haddad and his amazing staff, and heard about the SMILE procedure, it was a no brainer. Everyone made me feel so comfortable at every preliminary appointment. The amazing Sarah shared her honest experience with me of getting the SMILE procedure which put me at even more ease.
When the actual procedure day came of course I was nervous, and again everyone made me feel so calm and comfortable. Even though all of them have done this process and procedure many, many times, they all made me feel like I was the most important patient, with a level of care that is unmatched in my opinion. The day of the SMILE procedure (1/28/2022) I was seeing 20/15 after having horrible vision for almost all my life thus far.
It is only getting more clear as I am writing this the next day. Highly, highly recommend Laser Eye Institute for not only having the latest and greatest technology (which I assume you want when it comes to your eyes) but having the best Doctor and staff!

If I could give Dr Haddad 10 stars instead of five that's what I would give. Do not make any mistakes and go anywhere else besides Dr. Haddad I would like to thank him and the staff who did a wonderful job and everything they have done. Wow I'm so happy Thank you for my Lasik surgery and blessing me with 2020 vision.

During my first visit at the Laser Eye Institute, it automatically felt like the smoothest and least stressful visit I've had. The consultation process went very smoothly and every member was extremely caring and knowledgeable. I enjoyed talking with everyone and learning about their institute. I recommend coming here if you need to undergo any vision enhancement procedure.

Over the course of the last year I have been working with the Laser Eye Institute. I elected to have corrective laser eye surgery on one of my eyes after recommendation with Dr. Haddad. Leading up to the actual day of the operation I was reminded of all of the risks associated with laser eye surgery. The staff always made sure they answered any questions I had and I felt very comfortable.
The instructions were very clear and concise. With the aid of medication and a half hour in a full body massage chair the operation went very smoothly. My vision is better than perfect now. All of the staff is professional and fun to talk to. I highly recommend Laser Eye Institute to anybody considering corrective laser eye surgery.
