Glaucoma is a progressive eye disease that can blind you. An estimated three million Americans have glaucoma, making it one of the most common causes of blindness in adults. About half of those people don't even realize they have the disease since it usually develops without pain. It progresses slowly causing impaired vision Untreated, glaucoma can lead to complete blindness.
Glaucoma is a complicated disease in which damage to the optic nerve results in vision loss. There are several forms of glaucoma. The two most common forms are primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) and angle-closure glaucoma (ACG). Angle-closure glaucoma is caused by blocked drainage canals in the eye, resulting in a sudden rise in intraocular pressure.
Glaucoma can cause blindness if it is left untreated. And unfortunately approximately 10% of people with glaucoma who receive proper treatment still experience loss of vision. Everyone is at risk for glaucoma from babies to senior citizens. Older people are at a higher risk for glaucoma but babies can be born with glaucoma (approximately 1 out of every 10,000 babies born in the United States).

Horrible assistant work especially with Corina my wife went in and she was a few minutes late due to being her fist time in the hospital and Corina would not stop saying she needed to be early next time she needed to get there on time then she pushed her head back didn't even say put your head back she PUSHED her head back. Then she was being rude with the doctor saying how she did everything and it was not true she also turned to ask me if I remember my wife's eye prescription that she did not say out loud after my wife said when she went into the exam room she kept mentioning how she should be responsible to be there on time and that now everyone is hurrying up because of her. When you go in for a glaucoma test they should be nice and comforting. Very bad bad experience

Welp, just like everyone else said. My appt was at 9:00am. I got here at 8:45am. I wasn't seen until 9:48am with no apologies or we appreciate your patience response. The tech asked me to read the chart without paying attention to what I was reading. She had no ideal the reason for my appt. I few eye drops later and I'm back in the waiting area. If you have an appointment, clear your calendar for the day.
