The diagnosis of a breast problem can usually be completed by taking the history of the patient and having a physical examination by one of our experienced breast surgeons. Mammograms and ultrasounds are also valuable aids in the diagnosis of breast problems. When further diagnostic methods are needed, our surgeons have many techniques available including office ultrasound.
A hernia is a "defect" or weakness in the abdominal wall. There are several locations and types of hernias, all requiring different types of surgery. The bulge associated with most hernias is not the hernia itself, but the hernia contents protruding through the defect. Hernias are repaired to prevent the hernia from becoming larger and uncomfortable and to prevent the contents from becoming entrapped (incarcerated) or strangulated.
An appointment for a consultation must be made so our doctors can examine you and determine the nature of your problem and their suggested resolution. We see patients Monday through Friday at a variety of convenient times in our Rockville location. Please have your insurance card handy when calling for an appointment.

Dr. Sandler performed my husbands surgery and also my stepsons surgery, so ofcourse I want him to perform mine as well. He is thorough in his questions and answers. He shows that he cares about me as a patient, but also as a person. The front desk woman is also exceptional. She is patient, calm, and efficient, and friendly. I feel real good about being under their care.
