Services
Dental implants are the replacement of tooth roots in the mouth. Implants provide a strong foundation for fixed or removable replacement teeth. Dental implants, which are placed in the jawbone, are small anchors made of a biocompatible metal called titanium. The anchors begin to fuse with the bone over the course of a few months.
Bone grafting may be required to address defects in a patient's jaw. Bone grafting is a form of reconstructive surgery that helps to generate and rebuild bone and increase bone density. The most common bone grafting procedure is performed to enhance the upper or lower jaw bone in order to increase bone quantity and density in preparation for the placement of dental implants.
Oral pathology encompasses oral disease, their causes, and their effects. Oral diseases have a number of causes, including biological, chemical, or physical agents or hormonal or developmental changes. Abnormal tissues in the head and neck regions are called lesions. Different types of lesions can indicate different pathologies; such as benign lesions or malignant lesions (cancers). Our surgeons will perform a complete head and neck exam, which includes the oral cavity in order to determine if a biopsy is required.
Our highly qualified staff is trained to provide IV sedation in the comfort of our office. IV sedation is an alternative sedation that allows patients to be very relaxed during procedures. Your doctor will combine the use of IV sedation along with a local anesthetic so you have little to no discomfort and will have no memory of the procedure.
