HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. began as a Model Cities Program in 1971 in response to a need for accessible medical and dental care expressed by residents. The City of Fall River provided strong support for this program and its name was subsequently changed to the Community Development Service Center. The Center has served three generations of families. HealthFirst's service area has grown over the past 50 years to include the Portuguese, Hispanic, Cambodian, African American and Brazilian Portuguese populations.

Services
Our medical staff has been specially trained in Family Medicine to handle a wide range of health needs. Telephone coverage is provided 24 hours per day by calling our main number at (508) 679-8111. We offer complete medical care for children from ages Newborn to 21. Our Pediatric staff help keep adolescents and young adults healthy by providing excellent treatment for acute illness, as well as immunizations, checkups and routine screenings.
As part of a holistic approach to treating chronic diseases such as asthma, diabetes, and heart disease, our team of registered nurses, physicians and our Certified Diabetes Educators assist patients in developing treatment plans and goals. Our diabetes program is accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE). A team member is always available to assist our patients with questions about their health.
Millions of Americans are estimated to be living with Hepatitis C. Hepatitis C is a viral infection that is spread through contaminated blood and may cause liver inflammation/damage. Many people have no symptoms and are unaware of infection. Leaving the infection untreated may lead to cirrhosis (liver damage), liver cancer, or liver failure.

The facility itself is nice, my doctor is great. But getting ahold of a nurse or even a receptionist at the facility is a nightmare! They will call you, leave a voicemail and when you call right back it's at least a 30 minute hold just for the receptionist to say the nurses aren't available! I understand times are tough but this is a doctors office, I should be able to get ahold of a nurse easily when needed.

If I could give no stars I would! Twice my appointment has been canceled I got the reminder call 15 times and it wasn't until I show up for my appointment do they tell me oh a letter went out the doctor is on vacation! Mind you I'm a knew patient and waited two months for the appointment! The receptionist was rude had an oh well attitude I'll be looking for a knew place

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have been on hold over 30 minutes. Every time I call it is at least a 30 minute hold. Then they hung up. This is ridiculous! If they look at the reviews most of them are saying the hold. THAT SHOULD TELL THEM TO HAVE A BETTER SYSTEM! I love the doctor but the hold is ridiculous. I will be switching my children out ASAP!

From the girls at the front desk to the dental assistant and the dentist herself we're all kind polite and happy to help. They were all very informative and we're happy to take the time to answer all of my questions. Everything was explained to me so I could understand everything completely. Nothing was rushed. I was very happy with my visit.

This is the worst service at Fall River. They asking about income, that is legal or illegal.my husband an I spend over 1 hour and to the end refused to have a cleaning. The medical people was so prideful. For 25 years have been in America this is a first time we see disrespectful treatment of people.shame.shame
