Services
Our Mission is to improve the health of people in our region by providing access to exceptional, affordable, and patient-centered care every day and in every setting. Simply put, for more than 120 years, Glens Falls Hospital has served the region with high quality care in a community hospital setting.
The face of the American hospital was changing rapidly in the summer of 1897 when a group of 12 Glens Falls-area physicians began discussions regarding the establishment of a regional healthcare facility. Until that time, hospitals were often referred to as "almshouses, " places where the sick and poverty-stricken waited to die.
Philosophy: It is the belief of the professional nursing staff at Glens Falls Hospital that every patient and family has the right to holistic, compassionate, competent, ethical, quality health care throughout all stages of illness and health. The quality of that nursing care is enhanced by community involvement, continuing education, fiscal responsibility and evidence-based practice to improve outcomes across the continuum of care.
Section 2718(e) of the Public Health Service Act requires that each hospital operating within the United States, for each year, establish (and update) and make public a list of the hospital's standard charges for items and services provided by the Hospital. To comply with these reporting requirements Glens Falls Hospital is making available a machine-readable version of Glens Falls Hospital's gross charges, discounted cash prices, payer-specific negotiated charges, and de-identified minimum and maximum negotiated charges ( "Hospital's Standard Charges") as well as a separate Display of Shoppable Services.

The worst place to work for and get care from. You have a bunch of the laziest maintenance workers I've ever met in my life. They literally do nothing all day long. There is no training or PPE. They have 0 organization skills. It would take twice as long to do jobs because they don't have supplies. The HR department is a complete joke. They gave me 3 different start dates and didn't send me or companies the proper paperwork for me to start.
They half a** jobs and don't properly fix things. I'm surprised there isn't any fires because of the amount of wires hanging all over the place. You have guys not properly fixing things. I would give negative stars if I could.

I was sent by my DR with an expectation I was going to get proper and exceptional care and I got neither. I was treated respectfully in the emergency room department however once I was admitted that changed immensely. I was supposed to be NPO by mouth to give my intestines a break due to a supposed bowel obstruction, and my DR sent over strict recommendations because I've gone through these issues before and I also know what was going on as well being that I work in the medical field, and they not only didn't follow the recommendations or listen to a word I had to say but they also refused to answer the call light for well over 30 minutes which caused me to have to walk out to the nurses station where they were all just sitting there enjoying themselves and I almost passed out walking back to my room.
I met with 4 different doctors who told me 4 different things so they had no idea what they were talking about and they disrespected me with their words and behaviors and upon me leaving they filed a false report and sent it to my primary care doctor and didn't give them the real reason I chose to leave. Now mind you, I'm a Home Health Care Aide for a respectable agency here in NY and would NEVER treat my patients/clients in this manner. I would never recommend this hospital to anybody!

Don't come to the emergency endless is by ambulance. You will be here for 4 hours even if your the only one here. And they can't blame covid it's been like this for the past 15 years. Just an example :When I was younger around 16 I literally got caught in a grease fire I was in the waiting room while a guy who had a knife go through his foot bleed out in the waiting room.

Both me and my fiance have COVID-19 according to management they will not let me in the delivery room to see my baby being born even though we both have it. I really believe this goes against parental rights and I do want to sue this establishment if I do not get to see my baby come into this world.

I am a 9/11 NYCPD police officer. I was sent via EMS emergency to Glens Falls Hospital. I was there with my autistic mute child who witnessed a PA advise me that "you are strange, inappropriate and don't belong here". Upon contacting Ms. Kathleen Rid Rathi, I was advised that she could not help me. I asked for the nurse in my hospital room nine times.
So my child and I stepped out to photogragh the several medical individuals that were at the station. I was not provided medicine at t/p/o as I passed out. Upon waking up, a decent doctor stepped front and center and assisted us. This makes me frightful to call 911 should I need assistance. Now I have to file a report with NYS.

My husband had a deep head wound with jagged edges. We were transferred from Saratoga ER to Albany Med to see a plastic surgeon. After waiting 8 hours and never having his wound assessed, we left AMC and drove to GFH, which is closer to our home. The staff there was fantastic - friendly, empathetic, knowledgeable. The ER doc was confident that we didn't need a plastic surgeon. He did a great job, and the wound is healing nicely. Excellent experience!

We waited for 4 and a half hours in the waiting room with a vomit bag watching people have to walk out without treatment. Just to be brought into a dirty room with what I can only assume was urine in the corner and have them draw blood for "tests" they never did which was left to blacken in the corner of the room. We received little to no treatment and all tests were brushed with off just to have them tell us to come back with any further problems.

I have had years of bad experiences with this Glens Falls Hospital. From ignoring my grandmother while she screamed for help, to my mother going to the emergency room and them dying from a fatal heart attack shortly after, to being told that I have stage 4 breast cancer having two surgeries then being told it "disappeared". Was admitted in June 2020 shared a room shared a room with someone I didn't know was in a bed 4 feet away. No COVID care. No masks. Shared bathroom. Drive a little father. it'll be worth it. If I was smart I would have sued for each of these.
