I've been seeing Dr. j. Goldman for many years. No matter how busy he's, he takes time with each patient. He answers all your questions n concern. Even though now he only do half day clinic at the 3rd st. N Osborn location I still make my appointment there. I'll not change my Ophthalmologist The front office staffs are outstanding n always smile n greet you. I'm very happy with Dr. Goldman and all his staffs at Arizona Eye Specialist. I would recommend Dr. Goldman.

5 STAR REVIEW. Dr. Suiter for post cataract check. Dr. Suiter discussed a bit about my Diabetes and renewed my PCP's name. I found the front office staff and coordinators VERY COURTEOUS AND EFFICIENT! My 8thy or 9th visit to the Osborn Office. Never had an issue! The remodeling of the desk, reception area, and waiting area are wonderful IMPROVEMENTS!

My experience with Dr. Maki was fine, unfortunately her surgical coordinator has no follow through. To be told 1 day prior to scheduled surgery that they do not have what is needed from the optometrists is absolutely uncalled-for as they had the report from the optometrist 2 weeks prior. Now that surgery is rescheduled for a month later, I left 4 different voicemails for the surgical coordinator to ensure that they had what was needed so as not to be told again the day before surgery it may be cancelled.
No return calls until the day before surgery.turns out I was to have 3 different eye drops to be used 1 week prior to surgery. Yes, you guessed it there was no notice of the eye drops as I could not get a return call, not even an email. The day before surgery I received a voice mail and an email that claims she had left several messages. NOT SO! By the way, this lack of follow through took me from 12/2021 to 01/2022 and we all know this means you start all over with insurance deductibles.
By the way, my optometrists actually called Jazmin to be sure they had all that was need and was asked which eye? I had 1 eye completed by Dr. Maki and she had to ask which eye!

I would like to thank Dr. Brems and the office staff at Arizona Eye Specialist for removing my cataracts and restoring my vision! My left eye was 20-50, and my right was 20-40. They just completed my right eye; it was blurry at first, but after a couple of days, the right eye is clear enough to not wear my glasses. I can't wait until they fix the left eye in another 2 weeks. I should be able to throw my glasses away. Everyone is very friendly and efficient. I recommend them highly.

Dr. Brem was great with my in-person appointments but his follow-up and follow through is why I'm only giving 2 stars. I've called with important medical related questions; 4 times for 4 consecutive weeks, I received 1 response from his team but since they could not provide answers they promised to get back in touch with me. Weeks later and multiple messages to Arizona Eye Specialist, I have yet to hear back from him or his team.
If you're a patient that likes to easily connect with your Doctor, I would certainly not suggest him. Needless to say, do NOT a leave a message on their answering service because you will not get a returned call.

This is a review of the Front Desk and Appointment setting services. Not any of the doctors. Called a month earlier for an appointment with an Optometrist (OD) for my annual eye exam and gave my insurance specifics, and if needed I'll be looking for new prescription glasses. On the day, I drove 70 miles to the Scotdale, AZ location, only to find out they had me set up with an Ophthalmologist, who doesn't perform annual eye exam, nor accept my insurance, their response was."oppps, we made a mistake, we can re-schedule you for another appointment in a month.", how UNPROFESSIONAL people.
If I missed an appointment without calling 24hrs. prior, I'd be charged. Will they credit me for driving so far to only find they screw up my appointment?. I don't think so.again not professional. Additionally, they had so many people in the waiting room they spilled out to the courtyard.something is very wrong with their Appointment setting services.

Will not go there again. No office coordination. Told I had secondary cataract by one doctor but he couldn't perform the surgery so set up an appointment with an ophthalmologist in Gilbert. When I arrived, was told he wouldn't perform surgery until I had a complete eye exam.had one three weeks earlier but that didn't matter. An hour and a half later, the ophthalmologist came in, did a quick look and said there may be the beginning of a secondary cataract but nothing to worry about for a few more years. Complete waste of time. Insurance, Medicare, billed twice for same exam. Sorry to see Dr. Woolf retire. Need to find a reliable eye doctor.

I've been going to Arizona Eye Specialists since Jan 2021 and seeing Dr Sarah Maki. I can't say enough about her but she is professional very thorough and she is very detailed and explains all the negatives and positives of surgery procedure. I never felt pressured to do some thing at all. I am pleased with the office and the staff members they are always pleasant professional and ready to help. I've been to another doctor here in the valley and was not very pleased and this is what made me look for another specialist and I am thankful that I found Dr. Maki.
I highly recommend her if you're having glaucoma or cataract issues and more so she is available in different offices to accommodate patients that live across the valley. Thank you Dr. Maki and staff.

First visit to Goodyear office I arrive 5-10 minutes early for a 9:45 appointment. Waiting room was extremely crowded and at several times patients had to stand because of limited seating due to Covid-19 arrangement. At 10:25 (45 minutes after arriving) I was finally called in by a technician who did some of the basic procedures, I then sat in a small cubicle with 3 other patients to wait to see a doctor. 15 minutes I was then placed in an examining room, and saw a doctor. It appeared as if there were only 2 doctors in the office, way too few for the scheduled patients. Staff and doctors were polite and competent.

Hi, the office is a well oiled machine to get all the parts prepped for Dr. Goldman to have available when he comes in. This allows efficiency. He explains the process and treatment recommendations and alternatives. He is compassionate and thorough. Technologically did a good job on right cataract and lens implant, had complication of secondary cataract on left and there is a plan to remediate with laser, hopefully with improved outcome. I still see better than when he started.

Double charged! Actually more than double. $110 for a routine eye exam & Rx for lenses! Every doctor I've been to for an update on my lenses has been around $50. This place charged a $60 office visit calling it a 'co-pay' even though I was paying cash, then after the exam they wanted an additional $50 for the Rx. And they didn't even do a glaucoma test which is normally included in a routine eye exam. The doctors are great, but their prices are ridiculous.
