They saved my life. I'm 20 and had my beautiful baby girl at omc. I was diagnosed with severe postpartum preeclampsia and with the help of the doctors I am back to normal. I have a lot of respect for the doctors and nurses who treated me so well in such a traumatizing experience. I was in shock and disbelief but they helped explained what was going on and every step they were taking to help me. I would definitely recommend omc to anyone who is expecting a child. They are knowledgeable, trained, caring, and just overall a great medical staff and facility.

If I could leave less than a 1 star review I would. They literally took my daughters blood in a hallway that was closed off with doors. If anyone is wanting to be treated correctly and values their life I would strongly recommend they go to Jefferson Hospital in Port Townsend. This hospital will kill your loved ones if your not careful

My husband went to the emergency room with a pre-existing condition and an inability to have a bowel movement. He consulted with his primary care physician who instructed him to go immediately to the emergency room at OMC. My husband sat in emergency room in extreme pain for six hours. It was only when we began to aggressively complain that they asked for a CT scan and surgery consult.

They then rushed him into emergency surgery for a bowel obstruction. The ER had no regard for his pain. The ER had no regard for his anguish. And I'm sad to say this is the second time the emergency room at Olympic Medical Center has failed this family. The surgeon did a fantastic job and was very communicative. The nurses on the second floor were gracious, loving and supportive to my husband. That is the only reason I'm giving a two star rating.

This emergency room is so backwards. They triage patients with an RN and then make patients wait in the waiting room while they run a battery of unnecessary tests. I truly believe that they do this so they can bill for the tests, all while an MD never sees the patient. I was suffering from shortness of breath, rapid heart rate, high blood pressure and dizziness and I waited 9 hours to see a dr. NINE hours.

All while watching people with things like tooth aches and arm scrapes be taken back to see a Dr. I wish I could say this was my only negative experience but it isn't. It's pretty devastating because my family has medical issues and I'm very scared that the only thing this medical center actually cares about is money. I had two employees tell me that if I ever actually want to be seen quickly, I'm going to have to call 911. This hospital needs and overhaul! They get our tax dollars! The way they're running that place can't be legal!

Emergency room has always been sub par with lack of staffing to take care of new patients. Can wait hours or more before being seen.

Wen I first moved to Sequim several years ago I was concerned that there would not be adequate medical services due to the small size of the town. I started using the Olympic Medical Center upon moving to Sequim and have been receiving excellent service and support for several medical conditions ever since. The entire staff and facilities are excellent. I highly recommend the Olympic Medical Center.

Went in with fever of 104, tested positive for COVID and was having a hard time breathing. Doc called me back just to tell me there is nothing they will do. I walked out. I ended up driving to Seattle in my condition and upon arriving to the hospital there they treated me immediately. I ended up getting fluids and my blood work showed signs that required even more treatment. All I can say is that I will have to be on my death bed before I'll ever go back to this ER.

Had a minor ER visit last year while on a trip in the area. After the procedure I gave the staff my insurance information - and kept being told that "our system doesn't work well with Kaiser", which was surprising to me since my Kaiser plan had full coverage beyond a $50 copay for any ER visit in the country. I was also told that my insurance ID wasn't working because it was too late in the evening for their system to process it, and I should wait for the bill to clear things up.

Long story short, I received a bill in the mail that claimed insurance wouldn't come through. After 6 frustrating months of continually contacting the hospital it turns out they had been submitting my ID number incorrectly despite my having supplied it the night of the ER visit, and each time I called. Claiming that a certain insurance carrier "doesn't work well" with your system is not the patient's responsibility - it means your system needs to be updated. Hoping this review helps anyone else with Kaiser who ends up here.

My wife has been there twice for seizures, both times they have said she was fine to leave, then began having them right away. The doctor's have told me what they have found but told me to up medications, while they never gave her them while she was in the ER for 8 hrs, I will make sure my wife goes to a different hospital.

Have had migraines all my life, but this time I had 2 with stroke like symptoms. These uncaring narcissists at this hospital did not care if I were actually having a stroke or not. Waited in the waiting room in pain with no comfortable way to lie down despite my dizziness and headache. I had numbess in one hand and sometimes numbess in my face. I finally told them look, I need to lay down until I can have a scan of my brain to make sure whatever it causing this isnt a brain tumor or something else.

They said could be hours blah blah. I'm having life threatening symptoms, and they couldn't have cared less. At least give me a place to lay down. I ended up leaving because I just needed to lie down in the meantime. Wouldn't even let me wait in our car with my seat reclined until they were ready. Our healthcare system is a joke, especially this hospital. If I die, prepare to be sued for all you have. We live out in the middle of nowhere so it's not like i can just go to another ER tonight.

I am grateful for the care but extremely concerned that I was asked by the staff to run a CT scan on my 11-year-old daughter, equivalent to 500 X-rays in a matter of seconds, proven to elevate cancer in pre-adolescent children, especially females, before the age of 40, over an MRI scan just to save a few minutes. It was a suspect appendicitis, nothing to joke about, but after the ultrasound and negative blood test screening for infection, it was clear that she is no longer at immediate risk.

So to suggest that she goes under the CT scan and not an MRI, in my humble opinion is reversing the good care via unnecessary radiation exposure. Turned out, it was just UTI which was later discovered via a simple urine sample which was taken only after the blood, ultrasound and MRI tests were performed.

Their doctors are lousy, About a year ago they almost killed me. They were letting me bleed to death. Their GI doctors and Connie Walker need to go back to school or stop practicing medicine. Because of this I change my PCP and now they refuse to give me my IV treatment that I'm to get every 8 weeks, that they were giving me just fine until I switch doctors. How can a hospital refuse giving someone they treatment. Place needs shutdown

I was just in the ER at Port Angeles for a few hours last week and today I spent time at the OMC Heart Center in Sequim about something serious. I have heard many times how bad the hospital is supposed to be and figured its just whatever was happening to that particular person at the time. Anyway, my experience at the ER was that the staff was doing their best and was weighted down by Covid19 issues.

Not their fault. And the Heart Center is full of folks that were easy to deal with, listened, professional, real human beings that know their jobs. A pleasure and THAT made me feel better. Go to Seattle for what's wrong with me? Never. I don't need my car jacked while I'm being worked on.

4 months ago I delivered my daughter with the midwives. Throughout my pregnancy, during the birth, and the days/weeks following delivery I was treated with respect, and did not ever feel rushed in conversation or appointment. All hospital staff I encountered during my entire experience were kind, and quick to lend an ear, and in general just patient and pleasant to be around.

The reception staff on the 3rd floor even remembered my name. My husband was treated the same, he could not attend every appointment due to covid safety restrictions, but when he was there he was also treated kindly, listened to, and cared for with meals and a place to sleep during my hospital stay. To be honest, this is probably the best care I have received from a hospital in my life. I wish all the mommas out there could deliver here. Don't fret if this is where you will deliver, you'll be in good hands!

I usually have a good experience here but the quality has gone way south. Took my husband to Sequim walk-in after a hammer fell on his head at work. Practitioner sent him to the ER, called ahead, sent him with paperwork, etc. and he has been waiting for TWO AND A HALF HOURS. Their patient support is ridiculous. It's a privately owned facility, they have the kind smile and politeness but that is as far as it goes, filing a complaint with their department will get you nowhere.

I understand everywhere is short staffed. But if my husband is having some kind of internal bleeding from his injury, this wait is making it worse. He is still in there, as I am typing this out in the parking lot because even though I'm vaxxed and masked, I can't go in with him. Next time I might as well just drive him to Jefferson Hospital!

I was in for a central line placement and I waited over three and 1/2 hrs and was told that they were very busy. One staff member came out and told this older gentleman that they do not have enough staff? No food for an insulin dependent person and no offer to get me anything. Am in a third world country rt now. So I chose to leave and call my doctor the resulting departure. Administration needs to come in main lobby after 5pm to see the patients lying down with blankets x three. This shows incompetence.

Olympic's rural/small town hospital and medical centers have mostly so-so doctors and physicians' assistants (glorified nurses). If you've got major issues, take the advice of this veteran medical services consumer and go to Seattle-side hospitals and clinics. If the long waits and high prices of the State's ferries are too much for you, clinics in Silverdale and the hospital and clinics of Bremerton are a better bet than Olympic.

Saturday I woke up feeling fine. By 9:00 I was in agony from a very specific spot on my back. I tried some gentle stretching but really I was paralyzed with pain. We don't have a primary care physician here in Sequim so I went to the walk-in clinic, which I am grateful to say, is open 7 days/ week. I saw a doc very quickly. Her hands went right to the spot and she said she could SEE the muscle spasm there.

She injected lidocaine directly into it, gave me an injection of painkiller and sent me home. Two days later, I'm mostly fine and VERY grateful to the kind gentle folks at Olympic medical center. I recommend this clinic highly!

Dr. Is running 30 mins late. I can hear him talking up a storm in the next room. This is frustrating.
