Sad sad sad emergency rooms are filthy weve heard every problem the nurses have. We have been here 2 hours and still havent been seen and they are not busy they just dont care about the patients. As we set in patient room in ER weve killed big black ants crawling everywhere and a brown recuse spider and then to top it off weve been here for 3 hrs dr comes in writes a script for muscle relaxers and sent him on his way we didnt come for pills we came for xrays to figure out whats wrong but apparently didnt feel he needed one sending him on his way

Came into Jefferson Medical Center 5:45pm today. I have been waiting now for over 3hrs and 15 minutes still haven't been seen. However 4 other people who weren't in pain and came later then I did have been helped. This is the absolute worse hospital to go to if you need to be seen in a timely manner. No wonder why a lot of people go to Winchester.

Bedside manor is lacking. Went in for surgery. Asked what my pain level was after my procedure. I told the nurse that I felt a pain that I can't handle. They gave me an anti-depressant. And Tylenol 2. I know that WV is bad for painkillers.however.when a patient has no history of abuse, and you can clearly see the patient in dire pain.help the patient.
Don't talk about the patient right outside the room to a nurse and say things like."and we banded him.if he thinks this hurts.he wouldn't have liked being cut." I now know why people around here drive out of west Virginia for their procedures. A painful lesson was given today.

Every time I have visit the emergency room of Jefferson Medical Center in Charles Town, I've always had the best care. Never had to wait too long, seen mostly right away. The doctors, staff, nurses are all very knowledgeable caring and really listen. This January I had horrible pain on my right side and though it was my appendix. The doctor/Nurse did a CT scan and found it out I had an ovarian Cyst the size of 3.6 cm.
I went to INOVA Hospital in Leesburg VA and they thought it was my gallbladder (misdiagnosed). Needles to say I was correctly diagnosed from the amazing team that I had at Jefferson Medical Emergency. I believe the PA or Doctor that took care of me was Johnathon P. I've been coming here for years and always had the best care. I will only come to here from now on. Thank you everyone for doing an amazing Job and saving lives everyday!

Sitting back here in the er mom's soak and wet and getting very upset.but the nurses discussing their life issues and look at you like your under their ladder! doctors are nice nurses leave alot to be desired! They really need to find new jobs.as much as they talk and laugh maybe a stage would work!

The wife was having some chest pains so we decided to head right here because it's only 10mins away. When we first got there the initial staff was professional, caring, and friendly. At some point shift change happened and the on coming shift was lazy, rude, and didn't seem to care about anything except yapping away in the hallway. You can definitely tell the difference between the management of night and morning shifts. If you can go somewhere else like Winchester, Frederick or Reston.

It's sad that they are so short handed because everyone from the reception to the doctor were very polite. My nurse David gave me a tetanus shot and out of thousands of shots that was the first one I didn't feel at all. If you need a shot ask for David and you will see for yourself. I have a problem that hurts me socially and the staff being polite really helped me cope.
The doctor once she got to me was great and thorough. She made the procedure easy for me by talking to me while performing the procedure. I can only say I suffer bigtime with anxiety and since they were so nice it helped me make it through what I needed done. Great job and very professional!

My husband had surgery @ Jefferson outpatient surgery center in ranson WV today. We were amazed at how helpful and outgoing the staff was. Ready to answer any and all questions. Keep me updated with phone calls about my husband surgery and recovery. There building and parking lots were well kept and information about where to go was helpful. The pull up arrangement is also a great way for family member to be able to pick up patients without worry of any kind. Thanks so much for making this experience.
