Wasn't going to say anything until I received a bill 6 months after my visit. I went in to be seen because I had sever abdominal pains that prevented me from eating and sleeping properly. Was a collegiate athlete (good shape and overall healthy), which is why I was concerned. I had lost 30 LBS., or 15% of my body weight. My visit was quick and short, only to be told I had "heart burn." Couple weeks later after seeing another doctor and a few more weeks of testing I was diagnosed with stage IV cancer. I am also in my early twenties. I just feel like I was not taken serious despite explaining the seriousness of my concerns. Office felt incompetent and a waste of my time.

I have experienced the worst customer service ever in my whole life. Everything and procedure are in a mess. My husband paid copay in cash and visited Doctor on 12/11/2021. He did not ask a receipt for the copay. In January, He got a bill to tell him to pay the copay. I called billing office twice and nobody answered, so I called main office. A sweet lady (I forgot the name) told me she can see that I paid in the system so no worry anymore.
I called the billing office again and Susan finally answered the phone call, so I told her to double check with the office, but she did not. After several days, she finally called the office and the other lady who did not know the system told Susan that it seemed that no cash income on that day. Susan then called me to request me to show proof to pay.
My husband paid by cash and did not ask a receipt. How can he show the proof? I called the main office again, another lady said she would check receipt book and called me back, but nobody called me back. My husband got second notice to pay copay today, I called main office, but a lady told me nothing she could help except calling Susan. I said I called twice of the main office and other ladies tried to help, but it did not work.
Could you please help me to double check the system or receipt book? The lady said no. I said why some other people could help before, but you could not, and she said I was yelling at her and hung up on me. Both my husband and I have very good insurance and we never miss any payment even my husband has health issue and we need to pay thousands dollars copay a year.
We just want the office to help to make things clear, but the lady today just told me to call Susan and nothing she could help and Susan is the lady who kept saying that we need to show proof when the office never gave proof.

My husband had a terrible experience seeing Dr Cervantes. The dr failed to explain his treatment plan and then insulted him stating that it wouldn't matter if he explained it to him. This is a sad day for patient care. Failing to educate your patients is sad and if you don't like being a dr, should probably find a different profession.

I have been going to Dr. Cervantes and Carrie the PA for my entire life and they are fantastic. Always super compassionate and caring. I've never had a problem and if we were going through hard times with money and told them they would help us and find ways to treat fairly. I would recommend them to anyone as they are a great place for primary care.

Terrible experience with Dr Cervantes. Went in with what appeared to be a heat rash. He did multiple blood tests and looked me over. Then insisted I get a CAT scan. YES a CAT scan that cost over 5 thousand dollars. The heat rash went away before he even got the results back! This guy is a terrible doctor but he's an expert on lining his pockets with your hard earned cash and giving you nothing in return. Update.
Apparently if you give this "doctor" a bad review he will go in and make your account inactive. Then you can't access your patient portal to finish paying off your overpriced bill.

Always had insurance when I went here. The last time I called to have a Diabetes prescription refilled and make another appointment I was told I was in collections. The Dr refused to fill my prescription or see me as a client. I was shocked since I had no idea I was in collections. It takes nothing just to send a 30 day refill to a diabetic that needs it while I find another physician to see. Shame on you FP Associates.

Be VERY careful about making sure that if you are there for preventative services, that are fully covered by insurance, that they know to stick with that. Make a second appointment if you need diagnostic services, or something explored further than what is included as part of a preventative appointment. They will make every effort to bill you as diagnostic because that is where they make their money.
I found the staff to be unprofessional on several occasions, and although I had made two separate appointments with the physician I had spent a great deal of time researching, I never once even met that doctor (Chapman). I thought about writing her a letter, but didn't think it would ever make it past the front desk. Because I felt that I was billed incorrectly, I was making very small payment amounts on my bill.
They turned it over to collections and the company that bought my debt promptly sued me, rather than making any attempt to collect. From start to finish, I was extremely disappointed and never felt welcomed or that anyone there was anything less than thrilled that there was a new patient to see and process.
