This hospital has the absolute worst professionalism, attitudes, and concern for patient care. Patient concerns and ailments are dismissed. "Short staffed" is the response to any concern. Patients lack care from nurses and aids. They are forgotten about. Also, when calling to schedule appointments, the patient access department has the poorest customer service. It always feels like an inconvenience to call them.

The Physicians Assistant working in the Emergency Room was dismissive, showed a complete lack of basic empathy, seemed inexperienced and she had no bed side manners. I have never left a review like this before, but I think honest feedback is very important in order for these issues to be recognized and potentially rectified. The amount of negative reviews for this hospital is very concerning to say the least. When possible, I strongly suggest going to Saint Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam instead.

I've had neck pain for about 2 months now the past week it's gotten extremely severe so I came to this hospitals ER. When I arrived they checked me in told me it would be a few minutes while they cleaned a few rooms. An hour past and they finally called me in, they put me in a smaller waiting room alone. I asked why I wasn't in a room with a bed as I was in extreme pain and sitting only put more pressure on my neck.
They told me all rooms were full witch was a lie as there were a few rooms completely empty and clean. I was left crying in agony for 2 hours. I spoke with one nurse who just wanted to rush me out of there they gave me a CT scan, the same nurse came in told me I had a herniated disc they would give me medicine and send me home. Throughout the discharge process I was never even explain my diagnosis.
Never explain any paper work given to me they checked my pulse handed me paper work and said try and orthopedic or chiropractor. When I got home I read over the paper work there was 2 diagnosis. One was spondylolisthesis, in my lower back. This was NEVER mentioned, never talked about and nothing else was in the paper work about it. The main way to diagnose spondylolisthesis is and X-ray witch I didn't have.
The CT was on my neck. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a hospital ER, I was treated less then a person, I was made felt like I was a burden, like I wasn't even a human. Never once did I speak to an actual doctor. These people threw me in a back room and rushed through my care like my pain did not matter. This ER needs to be shut down.

I recently went in for outpatient surgery. This is not my first time here. My past experience with emergency surgery and planned procedures have all be great. This time was no difference. The pre-op staff were friendly and thorough. My wait was reasonable. The surgical staff were great and rather entertaining while I left the farm for my quick trip! Post op I was fed muffins, warmed and buttered plus anything I wanted to drink. It was a great experience in every way. Highly recommended.
