Dr. Collins is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He attended medical school at the MUSC in Charleston, SC. He completed a pediatric residency at Children's Hospital of Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC. Dr. Collins maintained a private practice in Murrells Inlet, SC from 1984 - 1989.
We strive to provide comprehensive pediatric care for your children from birth to 18 years of age, 24 hours a day. When it comes to the health of your children, you can't trust just anyone. However, you can trust our professional team at Southside Pediatrics. If your child is experiencing a medical emergency or an acute illness, they will be seen the same day by the first available practicioner unless a specific practicioner is requested.
Common symptoms of the common cold are sneezing, runny eyes, cough, and stuffy/runny nose. Colds are usually caused by a virus that is airborne and can last up to one week. If your child has a fever during the course of their cold, ear pain, persistent cough, or symptoms that are worsening, contact our office immediately.
At Southside Pediatrics, we have three waiting rooms available that are separated by: sick, well and teen waiting rooms. Please use the well waiting room only if your child is not sick and is well. The sick waiting rooms is for children that are ill. We separate our waiting rooms for the wellbeing of our patients and ask that you wait in the appropriate waiting room so as not to expose a well-child to a child that is sick. Please be courteous. Our team of pediatric doctors offer FREE prenatal visits for expectant moms to be.

Dr Collins is the rudest doctor I have ever seen! He needs to retire! So mean to my daughter she was very upset. He told me we wouldn't be allowed to come back! Because i asked him why he was so rude! That's fine! Dr. Luther is my daughters doctor and has been for years Guess we gotta find some where else to go! Also I got a letter saying we was no longer allowed in the office after almost 13 years!

The physicians are nice. However the staff has no training on how to deal with patients. First of all they will interrupt you to get you off the phone as fast as they can. whoever Victoria is, she is the one who does that the most. As someone who works with clients and the public the last thing you should to is cut someone off before you get key details as to why they're calling.

When I lived in Aiken he was the pediatrician for all my girls and had a great caring relationship with all of them. I was having a difficult pregnancy with my youngest daughter Rachel Swenson and he made a point of being at the hospital personally to check her out after delivery. His wife Pat was a very efficient and caring office manager. He really made Moms feel like they were doing a good job and taught me to trust my instincts when it came to taking care of them. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a pediatrician

Dr. Collins was my pediatrician and now my children's. He truly cares for his patients. There are some people that complain about his bedside manner. I don't agree. He makes my children feel safe. He is very straightforward and honest. I admire him for this. He works very hard to make sure that he follows up with any concerns. He is very knowledgeable and he has served our community for many years.

I have Dr. Collins as my daughter's pediatrician. I see him getting a lot of bad feedback here. I found him to be an excellent pediatrician. I can't say he's the most relatable person BUT I appreciate his personality. He is straightforward, honest and he listens well. No beating around the bush. He has always taken my concerns seriously- and I've had a lot of them.

Dr. Collins has no compassion for kids! Discharged my child after 9 years without me receiving any notifications! The nurse said the paperwork signed 9 years ago states only 3 missed appointments and they mailed a letter before discharging her. I never received the letter. My daughter has severe asthma and was seen often. No one took the time to verbally say anything at all, EVER!
She was just seen two weeks prior to me calling for an appointment. My daughter was sick and they notified me over the phone when I tried to schedule her an appointment. They promised a call back when I voiced my concerns but no call back was given. I would not recommend him to anyone. However, Dr. Luther is amazingly sweet!

I am so glad that all four of my children have Dr. Collins as their pediatrician! We have been coming here for almost 10 years! My children & I adore Dr. Collins & all the nurses and staff! My kids have grown up with them in their lives so their comfortable here! I like Dr. Tiffany and Dr. Luther as I've had to take the kids to them on occasion. I always tell friends about how wonderful this entire office is! I would definitely recommend this pediatric office to everyone! :) AWESOME people who create a warm and welcoming environment! :)
