This is my second time using Wyomissing Optometric Center for my eye needs both of which include an eye exam & glasses. From start to finish, this care provider is professional & happy you choose them to assist. I am very particular when it comes to my eyes & choosing glasses, all of which the Doctors & Optometrists, namely Dr. Legge, Sue, Jennifer & everyone else are extremely helpful & patient with.
The front end is also beyond friendly & happy to assist! Dr. Legge explaining everything to me when having an eye exam & Sue was beyond great to work with as she adjusted my frames prior to having them made so minimal adjustments were needed as the one pair needed nothing at all. I feel valued every time I walk in there & am more than happy to give them my business as I know I can count on them. Go here before just going to a store; this is more than a store.

Dr Corbin is the best. He has great compassion for his patients and is very caring. He makes you feel very comfortable during your visit. Through a eye exam on my father he was able to detect a medical issue that saved my fathers life. He is very thorough when checking your eyes. Dr Corbin also has the best staff. I would highly recommend Dr Corbin.

This place is pretty terrible. I don't understand the good reviews either. First of all, they are over the top about the mask wearing. Not sure I understand that considering the rest of the world has loosened up. It is also kind of hard to get an accurate prescription when the lenses keep fogging up. I had to ask multiple times for them to be wiped off in order for me to see the letters, etc.
My neck was strained the entire appt despite me asking multiple times to adjust the height. The new doctor (Dr. Amagno) tried to refer me to a specialist for a diagnosis I've had since 1987. Clearly, none of the doctors I saw took the time to actually read my file. She claimed that the technician's advice and my own thoughts about my current prescription were "incorrect." I overheard her say that "she strongly advises against giving me the prescription" and she gave it to me anyway with no explanation.
It is completely fine and is what I needed? Bizarre. Dr. Legge tried to put me in a 3 different bifocal lens, to which I finally had to give up on after my 4th fitting to the office. Dr. Corbin wouldn't take the time to talk to me about my "new" diagnosis but Dr. Burrell did and at least tried to sort it out. The lady at the glasses center was condescending and only concerned about my mask that has slipped under my nose after being there for 2 hours. It was so bad that I'm just going to get new glasses elsewhere because I can't deal with this place anymore.

Going to the eye doctor with a 91 year old is challenging but Dr. Corbin and his staff at Wyomissing Optometric Center overcame every obstacle in making it one of the most pleasurable trips to a doctor I have experienced with my father in law. The testing they did on him was incredibly thorough. The office set up the appointment on the same day my glasses arrived. The Dutz frames they helped me pick are awesome. Highly recommend this practice, it's well worth the drive from Allentown.

Recently made the switch here when looking for a new eye doctor and glad I did! The office staff and doctors were very professional and welcoming. The appointment felt very efficient, and it was evident that the office runs on teamwork among its knowledgeable staff. I felt valued as a patient and I am glad to have made the move here!

I purchased glasses from here back in March. They are fantastic and I recently went back to have them adjusted as I noticed that I didn't like the way the sat on my face; (Tessa?) And another associate were beyond helpful and teamed up to work with me to get a nice fit as I'm very very particular and OCD with how my glasses fit, etc. I also took a pair in to get tightened and within two minutes they were solid and felt like new. This is the spot for glasses, PERIOD.

This was the first time I went to Wyomissing Optometric and it was a very good experience. I had an eye exam & bought two pairs of glasses -sunglasses and regular ones. Everything went well - it was obvious that the staff is knowledgeable and they were very friendly. I really liked it that they don't jack up the prices for the glasses, then give a big discount, like some other places do. The price is the price. It's just simpler and seems more legit this way.

Have been going there for years but service in optical dept. isn't what it used to be. I have a large family and recently one of my children's experience was horrible. First the lens weren't correct she was supposed to have anti glare and photo grey. Two weeks later I had to take a 30 minute drive to have them corrected. The next day she was at school and the a teacher asked her if she was alright because one of her lenses was grey and the other wasn't.
She had to live with 8th grades calling her Pirate until 2 weeks later and another 30 minute drive one way when she had that problem corrected. Less than 2 weeks after the lenses were finally correct the glasses broke right between the eyes. There was no contact or anything that should of caused this, I suspect it was the 3-4 times of heating the glasses to change out the lenses was the cause.
Well to their credit they didn't charge me so the only thing I was out was 3 hours and some gas each time. The straw that broke the camels back was when 10 months later the temple separated from the rest of the glasses and they were going to charge me $140 and that was with a discount. I found the same glasses for $98 without a discount thank you.
I don't mind paying for quality but I can't and I'm sure a lot of parents can't just throw money away. Love the doctors but I will purchase glasses at a place that has better customer service.

This Optometric Center is high-tech but also friendly. They have many fancy machines to measure this or that in your eyes. I had ample time with the doctor and his assistants/nurses, able to ask my questions and get explanations for what they were doing. The whole appointment, because of the ushering from machine to machine, took a while - about 2.5 hours. All of staff is helpful and friendly. Order contacts from them directly - they cost about the same as the cheap-o places online.
