This practice began in the 1950s when it was known as Dr. Ellsworth A. Twible, Inc. Dr. Twible was a wonderful pediatrician who practiced with caring, understanding, and a genuine love for children and their families while bringing knowledge and new pediatric ideas and insights into this area. Dr. Leif Nordstrom joined Dr. Twible in 1981, and the practice name changed to Pediatric Services of Springfield in 1984.

This packet explains our office policy, when you will need to make an appointment for your child, and what happens at each visit. It is important for us to have your child's previous medical records before your first appointment at our office. The modern digital thermometers are faster than mercury thermometers, don't have to be shaken down, and are much safer if bit, dropped, or stepped on. The most accurate temperature measurement in infants and young children is a rectal reading. In school-aged children, an oral measurement is ok to use.

I'd leave a zero if I could. My children's pediatrician has retired. This practice states they won't see my children until they receive the records from the original doctors office. Those records were requested. If they were sent or received, I have no way of checking. My child has recently gotten Covid & needed to see a doctor. I called this practice THREE times only to be told they will not accept my children as patients because they DON'T KNOW if they have the records. Reception keeps transferring me to their records department where no one ever answers the phone. I have left messages but no one calls back. So screw my kids and their health needs because a few papers haven't been processed?

I have gone to Pediatric Services of Springfield since the day I was born in 1988. They ar absolutely amazing. The doctors and nurses are by far the best. They do everything and anything they can to help your children and you. My boys love going to the doctor and that's not something many people can say.

We have been going here since my son was born (almost 2 years). They are the best pediatricians around! We felt so at ease when we met Dr. B in the hospital and have been pleased with every appointment since! They are always quick with sick appointments and all of the staff are very patient and friendly!

Amazing team of providers here. I went as a child and now bring my son here. I have seen most of the providers here but am partial to both of the Nordstroms as well as Megan. Caring, intelligent, and all around good people. I had to call in after hours today (Sunday) around 9:30pm and left a message for the provider on call. Dr. Nordstrom called me back in exactly 2 minutes and answered all of my questions. They deserve best pediatric office every year!
