For over 30 years, eye care services have been available to Northwest Indiana and Chicago Southland residents in our Hammond practice. Our services offer an unmatched wealth of experience in cataract, glaucoma, and refractive surgery, along with the latest technology in medical and surgical eye care.
Dr. Blake Williams joined Williams Eye Institute in 2020, specializing in glaucoma and refractive cataract surgery, as well as general ophthalmology. He received his board certification in ophthalmology in 2021. Dr. Williams graduated as valedictorian from Munster High School in 2008. He attended Stanford University and graduated with Honors in 2012 with a degree in Human Biology.
Her focus is on providing medical eye examinations and contact lens fittings, managing ocular diseases, and providing post-operative care following cataract surgery. She continued her education at IU receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2000 and then completed a medical residency at the Veterans Affairs Center in Danville, Illinois.

I arrived 15 minutes early, filled out some paperwork and my name was called on time. I was examined and seen by the doctor in a timely manner. The doctor was very nice and explained everything to me. He even said if I have any questions later about anything, that I can call the office and he would be glad to answer any questions or concerns. Williams Eye Institute is a great place to go if you are seeking eye care.

My visit to Williams Eye Institute was such a great experience. From the young lady who checked my eyes and got the info. needed to give the Doctor so that I can get an eyeglass prescription, to the exam performed by Dr. Gomez, they explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. They were very nice and put me at ease, especially since is the first time I am getting glasses prescribed. The entire visit was great and I did not have to wait long.

Williams Eye Institute is a great place to go for glaucoma care. I assume regular eye care would be just as good. Everyone is very nice and helpful from the front desk to the assistants and of course the doctors. They take time to go over the exam with you and make sure you understand and answer any questions you may have. Dr Ann Williams and Dr Blake Williams are excellent in their field. You can't go wrong with whom you choose to see. You will be very well satisfied.

Excellent Practice! Years with Dr. Ann and am very pleased with her from Exams to Cataract Surgery and very easy to talk with explains everything. Met Dr. Gomez once from Merrillville he was covering for Dr. Ann excellent visit with him and explains all like Dr. Ann. The Assistants have always been excellent as well Charlotte & Tammy all! Everyone in the office -- office staff, tech assistants, anesthesiologist and Dr. Ann Williams -- took the time to answer any questions had, making sure I understood their responses. This professionalism made me feel comfortable.
