Our practice believes that all children should receive the recommended vaccines according to the guidelines provided by the AAP and the CDC. Vaccines are safe and effective in preventing diseases and health complications in children and young adults. Regular vaccinations help children ward off infections, and are administered as one of the safest and best methods of disease prevention.

Coastal Children's has the WORST customer service. The receptionists and nurses. I never had any issues with any of the physicians. Everytime I call they're rushing me, won't let me finish what I'm saying and are very short. We've had so many issues, but this last one put us over the top. Over 4 days they still had not responded to my pharmacy about refilling my daughter's antidepressant medication, so I called directly.
They cut me off when I was trying to explain and then found out they didn't refill the prescription because she needed an appointment. Fine, that's fine. However, they didn't call me to tell me that or the pharmacy. Without a refill, she could go through withdrawls. Definitely not putting the patient's needs first. I will be switching to CarolinaEast Pediatrics.

My 2 year old son just started with this location as we just moved to this city. Today upon trying to make an appointment to have my son testing again for Covid, I was met by an extremely rude and unprofessional Nursing Supervisor who wouldn't not allow me to make an appointment to have my son tested again, she told me we will have to "agree to disagree" because she didn't recommend another test, although I could not understand why her recommendation outweighed a parents need and want to have her child tested.
She began to get aggravated with me for continuing to speak up for myself and my son (as most black women often times have to do in healthcare) and before I could let her know that at the very least a wellness check appointment still needed to be made, she hung up on me. This was the Nursing SUPERVISOR of this office. A whole supervisor. This is why we really have to be careful about the kind of people that we put into these positions.
From our experience though, every doctor I have come into contact with at this location has been great with my 2 year old. Very good with communicating with the parent and the child. I've never had an issue with a doctor testing my son for Covid, I'm not sure why the nursing supervisor is gatekeeping test as if they are coming directly out of her salary.

Very poor patient care! We went in for a check up, when we told them, that my youngest cannot wear a mask due to a skin condition that fabric or materials set off on her face. We go to a Dermatologist for this. The Doctor refused care even though everyone else in the party was wearing a mask except for her. We will never be back. And I recommend that if you need treatment to go to another facility that understands that patients see specialists in field of the concern. Hinch, a General Practitioner is not who we would see for this skin condition.

I called about getting a flu shot for a two year old. Don't have it on the weekend. She said on Monday 9 to 12 to call back on Monday to see if they have them available. I don't see how things can change so much in one day and a half. When shots are not available on the weekends. Total waste of time. You can tell the receptionist just wanted to hang up and put no effort to help.

I used to love this clinic. I lost my vehicle due to covid and I was unable to make an appointment because I was waiting on a ride and thought I was going to get there, and then my ride never showed, I did not call because I was thought I was going to get there. I ask to reschedule and get yelled at and disrespected by one of the ladies saying I should have made sure to call since they could have seen somebody instead of wasting the time of the doctor.
I am removing my children from this clinic and going elsewhere. I will never recommend anyone to them again. I would give zero stars if I could. I have never been disrespected by a doctors office before.

My favorite Dr's office especially Dr. Tayloe, and Dr. Skladan. Dr. Kafer is also very nice and helped my youngest daughter when only her daycare provider thought she had a problem besides me. She kept getting very very high fevers and the hospital kept saying she had a viral infection, well when your baby is 3 and 4 and keeps getting fevers high enough to put her in the hospital, I was beyond concerned.
Well she had a piece of tape up her nose. It had been up there for over a year and caused continuous infections. Dr. Kaper saw it one day and easily removed it. I was am very happy with the nurses and rest of the staff too.

For the most part my children and I have been treated good. Compared to Havelock's office, they are not as friendly. My baby was sick and having trouble nursing. She finally latched on as I was waiting for the nurse to pop in to weigh her. When I announced that I would be there in a minute, she huffed and slammed the door. Then came back with her computer and wouldn't face me while she filled in information.
I was used to the havelock office being very accommodating to breastfeeding, so I don't know what her problem was. That's pretty much my only bad experience. On the other hand, I really like doctor Grove. She listened to our concerns and really knew what she was doing. She took her time with us even though it was the weekend.

I love this group of Doctors, my children have been seen by them all of their lives. I have a 15 yr old and an 11 yr old, have literally had issue with only 1 provider over that time frame. We primarily used Havelock office, however New Bern has been a blessing for colds, and more urgent issues that couldn't wait until Monday. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and we appreciate their hard work and dedication! They get us in and out as quickly as they can so we aren't spending the day at the Dr's office!
