Family Medicine physicians, Internists and medical staff focus on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of adult diseases, including diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure) and other chronic illnesses. United Medical Centers General Internal Medicine offers a comprehensive program of disease prevention and health promotion. Our internal medicine physicians provide a full range of care for adolescents and adults.

Our Board of Directors, the majority of whom are UMC clients, governs the organization and provides program guidance and policy leadership according to the by-laws of the corporation. The Board consists of 11 volunteer members who reside in the tri-county service area of Maverick, Kinney, and Val Verde Counties.
