Welcome to the Prostate Institute of America, located in Ventura, California. Founded by Dr Duke Bahn, we are a unique practice focusing on all aspects of prostate health. We offer comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of prostate disease, integrating ultrasound, MRI, physical exam and laboratory data. Our goal is to provide a space where patients can get the maximum amount of information about their prostate health, have an informed discussion and determine the treatment plan which is most appropriate for them.

I hate that someone had a bad experience with PIOA. I have been to: Xian China, Dr Lu Changsha China, Dr Song NYC, Atilla Toth And numerous other Dr's. I went to Dr Bahn last. And it helped me the most. I have gone there for 10 years. After Dr. Bahn retired I now have seen Dr. Johnson and Dr. Muasher. They have both been excellent. Some patients don't respond to injections.
They are a last resort. But, to many.who benefit it is a lifeline. I have also had one injection that greatly irritated my prostate upon return home. The next year I went back and he had a new cocktail and it was excellent result. The first year it took almost 8 injections before I got better. Since then it's gotten easier. I am now on maintenance. I have had a better quality of life because of this clinic, and Ventura is like a second vacation home, it beats going to China.

Avoid this place and these people at all costs. Was treated for prostatitis from their injections and it made my condition traumatically worse. They claim all types of prostatitis are bacterial which is false, and when I expressed my concerns about the procedure and wanted to back out I was pressured by the staff to not leave without doing the procedure which was my own mistake.
No one followed up even though I experienced adverse effects from the procedure. They also don't test for infection, the treatment is experimental and the whole thing is not right and should be looked in to. If you're suffering from prostatitis, look elsewhere and into less invasive methods
