A non-profit hospital serving the Four Corners area of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah, we have a rich heritage dating back to before New Mexico was a state. In 1910, two physicians, Dr. G.W. San Juan Regional Medical Center and its talented and compassionate healthcare professionals seek to meet the healthcare needs of our community. I saw this hospital in the video game "American Truck Simulator" and if we are going to get out of the COVID mess, and help get the staff all the tools they need to do the their jobs right, I am shocked that Steam doesn't have medical oriented type of deliveries to this place. In the game, I would sometimes park my truck outside the hospital to make it look though if I am going to show off the truck's cab and let some of the staff try to hoist some of the children up into the cab so they could see what it's like to be in a great big over-the-road truck.
In the game, the trucks do have an option to where the players can have roll-up doors and sometimes complete with lifts on their trailers! I think that Steam tackles the deliveries in the game while SCS Software handles the map creating jobs and the states while Steam takes care of selling copies of the game and creating the deliveries. Now the way they handle the loading is that the picture goes to a black screen with only the printing and when it comes to unloading the trailer, all the player does is to press "enter" and that's all. That shows that they care about the rules in this country.

I am so thankful to all of the Emergency Room staff at SJRMC. I went in last night with a family member and from the registration clerk, security, RN, ED Techs, Dr. Dan Erwin and radiology techs they all did their jobs and did them well. We were not there long at all and everyone was great. Thank you SJRMC for being our community hospital and not only doing your job but doing it well. Very grateful.

Recent echo cardiogram performed by Amanda (Arae) Gonzalez was a very thorough and pleasant experience. Initially I was nervous as the results could have been very impactful on my health however, Amanda's demeanor was very reassuring and calming. I have lived in all the major cities on the East Coast and Amanda's care and professionalism ranked right up there with my experiences there. Thank you SJRMC for employees like Amanda who offer world class service even in a small remote town tucked away in the Four Corners Area. Take a bow Amanda!

I understand that the hospital is understaffed, and it is tough with Covid. In fact, I used to volunteer at the front desk, and I was proud to work for SJRMC. But after what happened with my grandfather in 2019, and my recent visits, I am disgusted with the care. I went to urgent care around 8 pm, because I was having difficulty breathing, and stomach pain.
I was also having GI issues since Monday night. The doctor at urgent care sent me to the emergency room for an IV because I was dehydrated. Around 9:30 pm the doctor came in, and I wished I asked for another. (This was the same doctor I saw in 2020 for back pain and he DISSMISSED it). I ended up going to urgent care the next day to get seen. When I told him why I was there he said "all your vitals look fine, I'm not sure why they sent you here".
He again didn't believe me that I was in pain. 10 pm I finally had an IV put in after that I didn't see anyone till 12:20 am. After 30 min the IV was empty, and I sat there for 2 hours. Finally a different nurse came in and asked if my IV was still in and I said yes and she said Oh I'm sorry I'll remove it. I'm glad somebody finally checked up on me after 2 hours. I used to recommend this hospital, but I will no longer recommend it, nor will I work here again.

1. Rudest staff I have ever encountered! And dirty facility. 2. Got a bill for over a grand after my insurance I have called multiple times asking for a itemized bill never got it. I have disputed this multiple times with them. I have left 10 messages with billing department no returned calls. 3. Now a collection company is calling me. Told them all of this they are telling me they are reporting kn the 1st (8days) and they don't care they will ask for an itemized but it has to be paid. 4. Moving forward I am disputing again and also reporting to BBB and medical department. Don't ever go here

I went to see my brother whom has been in your hospital now for over 7 weeks. He started off with Covid. When I came to visit I was throughly discussed with the poor care he has been receiving. First the housekeeping has not been done in his room for weeks. There was 2 bags of trash, dirty clothes on floor and they was expecting his wife to clean up the mess that was there for who knows how long.
They should be cleaning his room, ever surface twice a day. Secondly, he should have had access to a wash basin so he can take care of his basic needs, such as brushing his teeth, washing his face at minimum and combing hair. Before I came he had bed sores and multiple infections due to lack of care. He has very little strength because PT doesn't come in to work with him at least once a day because they just don't care.
While I was their nurse's only came in twice in their shift to check on him. He had over 8 inches of his breathing tubing that had not been changed in a long time that it was dark brown from not being changed frequently like it should have been. I could go on and on about the care. The hospital should be throughly check out by either JKO or DMV or for that matter the CDC or Health Department. I work at a regional medical center in Oregon and we take excellent care of our patients.

Rudely day by day getting restiction on hot tea fluid intake. How am I supposed to get better with no movement or service it's all about restrictions and no care for individuals on San Juan regional hospital. Very in professional condition for patients. Been here in ICU a week and one day. They want me to breathe through my nose but half the time I take bigger breaths through my mouth. Same concept just a bigger breaths for my lungs!

I recently had an EEG at SJRMC and I must say that my experience was top of the line! I had very little wait time, the test was very professional, and I was completely satisfied with the way it was all done. Thank you to the entire staff that I dealt with and merry Christmas to all at the hospital! Just so you know, I have never in my life given anyone or anything a 5 star rating. I believe there is always room for improvement. So consider the 4 star rating as good as it gets from me!

Should be zero stars, but have to log one. Preface this with the Nurses, for the most part were good and I understand they are short staffed and COVID fatigued as the rest of us. All this is said with understanding of the COVID situation. I come from a health care system with one of the highest rates. I am fully aware of the challenges. Lets talk visitation and empathetic care for the elderly.
One visitor per day from 8-4 AND if this one visitor wants to remain with patient during this restricted time frame, they are subjected to sit in a hard, straight back chair or pace the room. I chose to stay to be an advocate for my elderly dad who had a hip fracture. Elderly people often get a little disoriented with surgery and pain medications. Staying with him was an easy choice for me and I cared for my dad, providing basic tasks the nursing would normally do, thereby easing their load.
But apparently, in Farmington, COVID suddenly becomes more transmissible between 4pm - 8am. Because of the asinine visiting hours I missed conversations with the Doctors, despite our request to have one of his children present. I wrote on the white communication board for the Case manager to have one of his children present when speaking about discharge (with transfer to rehab).
We had to chase the CM down, dig for information and finally got a statement he would be transferred Tuesday morning. Well at 5:15 pm Monday evening (AFTER VISITING HOURS) they came storming in, handed him a bunch of papers to sign, hustled him into the clothes and left him on the bed. Discharge planner notified us with a basic statement "we are transferring your dad in about 20 minutes you can see him in the morning at the other facility".
After numerous attempts to contact my father's nurse, him in his room, on his cell, he was finally able to GET TO HIS ROOM PHONE to answer. They packed his cell phone out of reach. He was confused, tired, hurting, being told to sign stuff he didn't understand. I did my best to reassure him and remind him of the plan (Remember, he is elderly, post major surgery, on pain meds, and 2 hours out of dialysis).
The care/discharge planner could have easily called and said, we have a discharge order and need to transfer him tonight. Would you be able to come up (within reasonable time frame) or maybe do a video call to complete the discharge process with your father and ask any questions. NO! They did nothing. They hustled my father into an a strange place without the comfort or reassurance of a family member at his side to help make the transition easier. SJRMC HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I will speak to their Patient Experience Rep, they will write their notes which will them be TOSSED IN THE TRASH!

The level of care provided here from what I've seen is exceptional. These people are hard workers and even through one of the nation's worst COVID-19 surges they've all kept cheerful and optimistic attitudes. I would trust the care of my family to this hospital, and I would be happy to work here as well.
