At the Eye & Laser Center of Starkville, we place a premium on outstanding patient care by providing the comforts and excellent results of the latest technology, state of the art facilities, and, most importantly, the personal attention that our patients have come to expect. We offer services such as custom LASIK and other laser treatments that are performed in the spacious laser suite, cutting edge premium Intraocular Lenses that help patients reduce and often times eliminate their need for glasses, and a surgical suite catering to oculoplastic and other minor procedures.
Yes, the majority of patients do very well. Like all surgery, complications or problems can occur. During your appointment, Dr. Brown will talk more about your individual risks and benefits of cataract surgery, as well as make lens recommendations for optimizing your vision. Cataract surgery is an outpatient procedure and only lasts about 15 minutes.
We offer high quality designer and name brand frames and lenses. Our opticians are able to fit you into the necessary frame shape and size that will flatter your features, as well as offer advice on lens styles and additions that will accommodate your specific lifestyle needs. We work hard to provide a variety of high quality frame brands to choose from, and our selection is constantly being updated as new styles and trends emerge.

I was finally called back for my 830 am appointment at 951 am. The tech never offered her name. We went first to the instrument room for the hot air balloon viewing in the instrument. Then, to a second room for more measurements, then to a third room, where I am waited for Dr. Brown until almost 11 am. I have always found Dr. Brown to be competent, even if not the most personable.
Such is preferable. But, I had a conversation with the office manager about consideration of others' time after my first visit. I indicated that we would be seeking a different provider if the waits were typical, and until now had found them timely enough. The visit with Dr. Brown was fine until i went to get my contacts. The technician provided an incorrect prescription based on my conversation with the Dr.
She then went to check and came out saying, "no it was correct." I refused the incorrect prescription and she then said, "well you will have to wait as the doc was in a room." So, she had lied to me. I have a pretty unique astigmatism in one eye and she was offering a lens without the severe correction needed, so the error is obvious. At that point I said, "call me when you get it correct.
I can't wait any longer." I will be finding another provider because of the excessive wait issues after today, and the incorrect prescription unless they can address these issues.

The none of the people that work here understand the meaning of the word appointment. the doctor's time is far more important than yours will ever be. you can try and make an appointment but they'll reschedule without telling you about it. then when you show up for your original appointment you get told just take another day off work and show up again when we want you to. Those 3.7 star's are not deserved should be negative 3.7

Waited forever to be seen and then the doc spent 2 seconds with my daughter. Prices are extremely high. Make sure you are fully versed in your insurance benefits and make sure that you ask for specific details on what and how you are being charged. Got charged 110.00 for a "contact fit" that ate up most of materials benefit for the year. Lesson learned for my college kid that was trying to establish docs. She will not be going back based on how rude their business office was.
