I honestly don't know where to begin. Moving to New Hampshire 5 years ago as a retired nurse, I chose this as my new provider. What a mistake. Nothing about this clinic is professional or effective healthcare. 5 years I've had nothing but mix ups on prescriptions labs and appointments. So last week I had an appointmeny( to an office that I got moved to that I didn't want to go) and I had to cancel because of the weather.
I got a letter in the mail stating that I am fired as a patient. I guess they didn't get their insurance money. You don't have to fire me. I'm leaving. So you're fired. New Review~~~~~ Now I give them less than one star. I decided to give them another try with a new PA. Went in for a meet and greet and a blood pressure check, ,e nded up in Memorial hospital which is another horrible horrible review. PA said I may have a bowel blockage. Insisted on doing an x-ray and sent me home even though I told him I had relieved my bowels three times that day.
I should have just came home but ended up at the ER (at suggested PA DX) and spent the day there getting a CT with contrast which my arm blew up after I told them I was allergic. The healthcare in the Mount Washington Valley is like being in hell. I was a BSN for 30 years in Upstate New York and never experienced the tragedy of the healthcare system up here.
So while I gave a new PCP and Saco River another chance I will never go back there again. Two strikes and you're out. But they have me labeled as a bad patient. Gee I wonder why. It's not rocket science. Just medical science.

I usually have an appointment when I go to Saco River medical but today I didn't and I went to the walk-in. Once again I am delighted to be dealing with this group of people. They get you in quickly they actually listen to what you're saying and they give you the most professional, caring, compassionate treatment possible. I have lived here a little more than 50 years I can recommend them extremely highly and I feel very lucky to have access to them when I don't feel well. Thank you so much for all your diligent hard work especially in these trying times

The doctor I see just seems to not really care when I express my issues and concern. Just wants to get me in and get me out. Add on top my daughter goes here and we wait 3+ months to even get an appointment. It's just ridiculous. I've been waiting for a Year and a half to for them to get my past medical records to the clinic I went to and nothing. So in short they basically don't believe I was on the medication I was on from 12-19 years old.

UPDATE 2021- We no longer use this practice. After 6 years the last 2 have been incredibly disappointing. The staff has become increasingly unfriendly with each visit. We experienced a medical scare that lead me away from "Standard" treatments of things and I've really became more hands on with my children's Healthcare. Dr. Laracy couldn't be more annoyed at this.
He doesn't like my questions and concerns and aims to pressure me into decisions uninformed. Unfortunately this practice feels money driven, headed by a closed minded doctor who prefers to surround himself with only like minded individuals. My calls have been left unreturned, questions unanswered, wait times increased, and time spent with the doctor decreased.
There are absolutely better choices in the valley so if you'd like to be heard as a parent and feel like your doctor is in your corner to reach the best health for your children- I wouldn't step foot in this office. You can blame the pandemic however an untrustworthy doctor and rude staff have no place as pediactric care no matter the situation outside of the walls. 2018- After trying many pediatricians in the area I have been incredibly happy with Dr. Laracy and his staff.
Not only is their care a step above, they are so prompt with my appointments I never wait more than 5-10 minutes for my appointment and if I need to have my kids seen last minute they have great availability for that. They are also so great about following up with me after ER visits and illnesses. Thank you Dr. Laracy!

I am so disappointed. I truly believed that people go into the medical field because they want to help people. I have been shown that this is not the case. Not in this valley and not here especially. G they urge you to use their portal for communication. However communication has to go both ways in order for it to actually work. You can leave messages for a provider until you're blue in the face and won't hear anything back from them until you have irritated them by trying to contact your provider.
If you believe that you have a broken bone (or 2 in my case), I would urge you to make the trip to Dover for any imaging. I had an xray of my pelvis which was causing me a great deal of pain. I had an xray, was told it was negative, and sent on my way. I tried calling x5 and sent 4 messages to my "provider" because I've had this same body for 40 years and know when something is wrong.
I only heard back after threatening to call the state board of medicine. Upon further imaging, which I had to flat out demand with threats of licensing repercussion, it turned out that I actually had 2 complete fractures in my pelvis. This isnt health care. I was told that I may want to find crutches. I think that there is better healthcare available.
Not likely in this area unfortunately. This is just one example of the poor care that I have received since choosing the facility, but it's clear that I am not going to get any sort of respect or diagnoses from these people. They really should consider reassessing their career choices. People go to the doctors office because something is wron. These people who are unwell, for whatever reason, look to these professionals for help. We put our health into their hands and know that this is how we will get well again. It just doesn't work that way. Not at Saco River.

I am from out of state and while here on business, dropped something heavy on my toe. I went in and while the receptionist was friendly, the PA wasn't all that great. I explained what happened and she sighed heavily and tried to hide an eye roll that someone would waste her time with this since I obviously had walked in just fine, even though I was limping and in a lot of pain.
My brother-in-law is a podiatrist and I explained the situation to him and he suggested drilling a hole in the nail to drain the blood and relieve the pressure. I explained this to the nurse at the beginning. Apparently while I was getting xrays, she was reviewing some textbooks. She told me, despite a professionals advice, it was not recommended unless the blood bruise covered the entire toenail and mine was only about half.
She recommended I soak it in Epsom salt 4-5 times a day. Fair enough. So I bought so epsom salt and drove the 1.5 hours to my hotel with the pain in my toe getting worse by the minute. Got back and looked at my toe and the blood bruise had spread to my entire toe. I feel like she simply wanted to be done for the day since it was close to closing time and she didn't want anything to delay her and the procedure I requested was that delay. I while I can probably poke the hole myself, I had hoped for a nurse or doctor to help do it so I avoided problems. Apparently that was too much to ask.

We were visiting North Conway and found ourselves unexpectedly needing a walk in clinic. The Conway Walk In Clinic had no Yelp reviews, but as it was the closest to our hotel, we decided to give it a try. The overall time there was about what we expected. The staff was nice, helpful, and diagnosis seems like it was correct now that we are a few days past our visit. Hopefully we do not need their services on our next visit to North Conway, but if we do, we wouldn't hesitate to return.
