I have an excruciating ear infection. I had seen my normal doctor the day before so I was being treated but it was getting worse and the clinic was booked so it only left the ER as my last option. Now, let me say I didn't have to wait to go back so that was nice! (1 o clock on a wednesday.) I was there for about an hour crying and in so much pain I could barely see straight.
The doctor spent all of about 3 minutes looking at my ear. In that 3.minutes he jammed a qtip in my ear (it hurt so bad I saw stars.) He snapped at me and told me to sit on my hands. Duh, of course i jumped away from him what part of I'm in pain does he not understand.) He never addressed my pain or treated my pain or really said anything. He sent me on my way to go pick up a prescription. Was he not allowed to give me any medication before jamming a q tip in ear? Honestly for what, he didnt send it off for a culture he threw it in the garbage.
Do they not care about pain levels being under control? The only reason I came to th ER was for help. Can't wait for the outrageous bill after my insurance pays (if they can manage to bill the correct insurance.)

I would not recommend Green County Medical Center. They recently had a doctor get fired for being drunk on the job while working in ER and then crashing his vehicle on his way home. They also have unprofessional staff taking photos and videos inside their facility and posting them. I feel like their company doesn't focus on patient safety.
