South Central Kansas Medical Center has a proud history of providing needed medical services to Cowley County and its surrounding communities. The organization's long-term success has been possible due to the ongoing collaborations between the City of Arkansas City government, SCKMC's Board of Trustees and staff, partnering medical professionals, and tremendous community support.
Wants to help improve the quality of our hospital's care for all patients and family members. Gives feedback to the hospital based on his or her own experiences as a patient or family member. Works with the hospital for either short- or long-term commitments, depending on the project. Volunteers his or her time typically (usually at least 1 hour and not more than 4 hours per month).

I would give it 0 stars if that was an option. Don't go to this clinic if you have a child with special needs. I was told by a PA at the Ark City Clinic that it's ABUSE to give my 3 year old Autistic daughter milk in a bottle ( because she did not know how to use a sippy cup) I was also told its also abuse to hold her down to brush her teeth. Hmm. wouldn't it be abuse to not brush her teeth at all?
This clinic called DHS on me. But that's okay because I'm a dang good mom & the DHS case was thrown out! Obviously they are not trained on what it's like to care for a child with special needs!

Doctors hate to refer you out. More money for them. Average a hour wait or more for very little attention by the doctors. When a family member went in for alarming symptoms they were tested for mono which came back negative. The doctor has no idea what is wrong and just sent her out the door saying they probably have mono because a "few" symptoms make it look that way.
However they ignored 3 other factors that do not go along with mono. And they tested negative! Now we Will receive a bill for a incompent doctor who did no good and can't figure out what is wrong. Just what exactly did these doctors go to school for? Why do they show no concern for troubles they can not explain. I have met and seen good doctors, just not at this clinic.
This is not the first time this has occured and I have heard many stories from others on the neglegance of this place. Go elsewhere. I take my kids to winfield now because these doctors are without care. Buisness oriented. Make money and move quickly.
