ER is hit or miss. Depends entirely on the doctor working. I've had phenomenal care with Dr. Koza. He made sure I got treated and taken care of. Talked everything through with me and made sure I understood every test, result, etc. Then I had an absolute disgrace of care with Dr. Robert King. I arrived to the ER with chest pain and gallbladder attack.

He was persistent on saying that my chest pain was due to mopping and wanted me out. Refused to test and get imaging done, my nurse was a true advocate for me this visit. On another note, they need to figure out a central system for patient information. There is no reason for me to call the billing department to confirm they have the correct address. Especially when I had given that address to 4 other departments at least twice each.

I do NOT recommend anyone to deliver a baby here, I've had children before so I know protocols and how things are supposed to go and with my last child I had to remind the nurses on what to do and things they were missing. I do not recommend.

Probably the most unprofessional ER I've ever been too. I get it some people may fake symptoms but not me. One doctor told me one thing the other one told me another sat for hours had to ask for medicine. Felt as if my issues weren't important. I shouldn't be surprised because guess what they have a bad review already. Fire them all. Hell he couldn't even get the computer open to get my information. Sorry excuse

I would never go there for emergency or even to have ob doctor they literally dont listen when you tell them something is wrong my daughter was pregnant and they literally didnt give her what she needed she was so sick and they let her out before making sure she was eating and drinking good they released her and she ended up sicker causing more problems and making her lose her baby I do not recommend them for anything

Checked into the ER due to a productive cough and difficulty breathing that has gone on for months. I only checked into the hospital because I needed immediate relief. I waited for 2 hours before I was taken back. All they did was give me a breathing treatment and they wondered why I still couldn't breathe, was coughing, and still wheezy. I asked if they could do a scope or a culture due to coughing up stuff and they said, "we don't do that here." So I paid over $200 to spend 8 hours at the ER for no relief at all and I've actually gotten even more sick.

Seeing the reviews I was skeptical about coming to this hospital, but due to my wife's worsening condition we didn't have a choice. Let me just say that this is the BEST we service we have ever received, we are from Cali and we were here visiting family and wow the service was amazing they had my wife in within minutes, staff was helpful, nurses where very efficient and dr came in to see her momentarily. I was amazed how good they treated us and how quickly they responded to her pain. Maybe I just came at a good time but this hospital definitely got 5 stars from me.

Just had surgery there to repair a broken hand. It was a spur of the moment decision to go with surgery. They all did so awesome in the OR. So polite and friendly and they took care of all my requests immediately. I was really nervous about it, but it went really well because of the quality of the care. The anesthesiologist Bonnie especially took time to make me feel less anxious about it. I highly recommend Dr. Mona Rane for hand surgery also. She put her day on hold to get my hand taken care of when she realized I needed surgery.

My wife and I went there a few weeks back. She had incredible abdominal and back pain. My wife is incredibly tough, she hardly cries, so much to my surprise this was the worst pain I've ever seen her in. Shes setting in the ER lobby hunching in pain and crying. The receptionist said that they were "full", like they dont have an extra bed in ICU until they could look at her?

So after 45 minute wait, we left for the guymon hospital. She was immediately admitted with a near rupturing appendix. If we stayed any longer at SWMC, my wife could have died. My family and I will never go there again.

Drove 2 hours for an ER visit due to abdominal pain during pregnancy. Dr. Shafei "forgot" to call the ultrasound tech for 3 hours and was not going to do one, so we had to request it 3 times with 3 different nurses. Worst medical experience of my life. What kind of moron "forgets" to call an ultrasound tech for a pregnant woman in an ER with abdominal pain?!?! Couldn't even understand his English.

I have too many complaints about this hospital but I'll quickly make a few warnings: 1. They are NOT friendly about billing, especially self-pay patients. They are rude, not understanding, even made my wife cry because she couldn't fork over $800 up front for labs that were worth maybe $140. They literally take a year to process any self-pay deductions.

They overcharge everything (e.g. $4000 for a CT scan when you can drive over to a private company and pay $200-$400. 2. They overtest A LOT. To lay people, testing too much is actually bad practice and leads to misdiagnosis and harm. 3. Having worked here, I can confirm that they care about making money much more than patient care. We had to do many bogus things just so we get more money. 4.

The wait times are excruciating. Need I say more? And it's not because they are "so busy" but because the organizational structure is ridiculous and they don't care about fixing it. I've heard from staff, including providers (again, I worked here), that patients shouldn't expect to be seen at or soon after their appointment times. 5. Not only do they severely under pay their employees (not just me) but they have explicitly said that they do not give ANY raises or incentives.

They force you to pay KPERS which ends up being $50-$60 per paycheck. They also do not have affordable insurance. I can't say too much regarding actual medical care except that I have heard MANY complaints from my patients there so I'll just end with this: If you can go somewhere else, please. go somewhere else.
