For the past 38 years, Southern E.N.T. Associates, Inc. has provided quality ENT care for the people of Southeast Louisiana. The Practice of Otolaryngology, which refers to treatment of conditions of the ear, nose, larynx, and upper respiratory tract, requires great skill and extensive training in both medicine and surgery. The physicians of Southern ENT, all lifelong residents of the area, are all highly trained, board-certified specialists.
Services
Whether you're considering cosmetic surgery to improve your appearance or reconstructive surgery to correct defects or improve function, we have the skill and training to help achieve your goals. Each year thousands of people undergo surgery of the nose. Nasal surgery may be performed for cosmetic purposes, or a combination procedure to improve both form and function. It also may alleviate or cure nasal breathing problems, correct deformities from birth or injury, or support an aging, drooping nose.
Children, by their nature, suffer many illnesses of the ears, nose and throat. Often, your child's physician may refer him/her to an otolaryngologist for specialty care. Otolaryngology is the medical specialty that focuses on disorders of the ear, nose, and throat. Otolaryngologists are also known as ENT physicians.
A baby smiles as he hears his mother's voice, a teenager sways to the rhythm of her favorite music, a couple sits on the beach and is mesmerized by the soothing sounds of the ocean-all of these pleasures made possible by the ear. Diseases of the ear can affect either or both hearing and balance. Otolaryngologists are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the ear.
Balloon Sinuplasty (BSP) is a safe and effective procedure for chronic sinusitis patients who are not responding well to medications and are seeking relief from uncomfortable and painful sinusitis symptoms. With Balloon Sinuplasty, ENT doctors open inflamed sinuses in the same way that heart surgeons open up blocked arteries during balloon angioplasty.

Cherimie was very professional. Did not have to wait long to see her. She asked the right questions about my symptoms. She was concerned not to cause me discomfort or pain during the procedure. Once the procedure was completed, she gave me a good overall review. Normally, medical visits aren't too pleasant, but the Practicer's positive demeanor made the visit nice.

Dr. Gaudet is comfortable and honest. He answers questions and doesn't make you feel silly for asking them. I will try not to change this review in a month after my surgery and I am in crazy pain! 17 days post op and I feel great! I little tension in my throat if I talk too much. Great communication! I highly recommend Dr. Gaudet! 42 years old, tonsil removal

My review isn't about the doctors here, it's about the front staff. In the past I've seen a very good Nurse Practitioner here whom I still see, but in a different office now. Also, the lady that does the Sleep Apnea tests was very friendly to me. Today, when I arrived for my appointment I signed in and was not greeted or even acknowledged. I sat down for 20 minutes and watched three people come in after me that were immediately greeted and taken to the back within 5 minutes of being there.

One of the girls that came to get a patient gave me a really nasty look, as though I didn't belong there. If you cannot control your personal feelings about certain people, and be friendly to EVERY patient you see then you should not work with the public! You should be in a cubicle alone! You have no idea what a person goes through on a daily basis in their lives. It's nothing to treat people with kindness!

I went to the Gray Clinic. While I was satisfied with Dr. Broussard and his nurse Angie, I WAS NOT SATISIFIED WITH THE RECEPTIONIST NOR THE INSURANCE GIRL BRIDGET. When I arrived, after filling out paper work, and turning over my license and insurance card, I was told, WE DO NOT ACCEPT YOUR INSURANCE HERE. (this was upsetting because I live in Morgan City and I had called prior to make sure my insurance was accepted as I live in Morgan City.) Nonetheless, after thinking about it, I asked the receptionist for a refund since I was upset over the insurance issue.

That's when she called the insurance dept, and was told by Bridget that while my visit wasn't covered, any procedures would be. So I agreed to be seen. Dr. Broussard performed a laryngoscopy, (I was thankful), and then ordered a cat scan of my sinuses, a sleep apnea tests and a battery of allergy tests. I asked Angie to please check with the insurance person Bridget, to make sure these were covered under my insurance. Needless to say, Angie told me Bridget said none of these tests would be covered under my insurance.

So I cancelled the Sleep apnea and allergy tests, but told her I would probably go through with the cat scan of my sinuses. Needless to say, Bridget in insurance needs more training as to what policies cover what; also how to relay this information to the patient. Also, the receptionist I believe was ready to let me walk out of the door. It was only when I asked again about the insurance that she called Bridget, who again, seems to be in the dark.
