Services
The first settlers in the Coosa River Valley were the Creek Indians whose later encounters with the Spanish and French had a significant influence on the history of Sylacauga. Events that occurred between these three groups were partly responsible for the settlement in 1748 by Shawnee Indians of the village of Chalakagay.
The Sylacauga Utilities Board is committed to providing state-of-the-art utility service for our community. SUB serves over 12,000 customers in Sylacauga and the surrounding area. We provide electrical, natural gas, internet, water, and waste water services. If you have questions about services available in your area, please let us know how we can assist you.

This is because I've been trying to talk to a real person on the phone for 15 minutes and there is no option for that. Everything is automated and no way to talk to a real person.

They try not to laugh when I am stalking them to see what infrastructure crises we are experiencing now. I don't pester them but they know if they have to rope of a work detail for lunch or overnight my curious self is gonna try to see if I can find a sinkhole in that general area.

Can't stand the place. Was paying by check but took them a week and a half to deposit it. Went to debit card now it gets applied and disappears all in one day. Watch your bank accounts people because if you're not careful you'll bounce. Caught them doing this twice now. Guess it'll be cash from now on. This is what a monopoly can do!
