Comprehensive Pain Management and Regenerative Medicine was founded by Dr. Michael A. Lepis, MD, FAAPMR, FAAPM in 2002 and has been providing care to patients throughout New Jersey as well as Delaware and Pennsylvania. We specialize in treating all painful conditions. Dr. Lepis has always been interested in the study of medicine from a young age. Growing up in a medical family of nurses and physicians, Dr. Lepis experienced the importance and beauty of caring for people in need and improving their lives. In fact, Dr. Lepis is proudly a third generation physician, and learned early on that caring for people is a vocation not a job and that it requires complete and total commitment to the people who put their trust in you.After graduating high school and college, Dr. Lepis attended St. George's University School of Medicine graduating in 1995.
Although most treatment typically involves focusing on the musculoskeletal system such as the spine (Neck, Mid back and Low back) shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. We also specialized in diagnosing and treating or when appropriate referring for treatment many painful conditions. These conditions include identifying undiagnosed autoimmune disorders and malignancies, osteoporosis, infections, pain with poor blood flow and circulation, neuropathic pain syndromes, failed surgery syndromes and pain after surgery despite complete and uncomplicated healing.
The idea of having treatment involving injections can be very nerve racking for patients who may have a fear of needles or possibly a bad prior experience. This is why we always offer IV conscious sedation for the majority of our procedures. Typically the most pain a patient must endure on procedure day is placement of an IV.
Stopping or slowing the destructive process associated with aging and reversing and or restoring the negative effects brought on by the aging process and various destructive diseases. Regenerative medicine deals with the "process of replacing, engineering or regenerating human or animal cells, tissues or organs to restore or establish normal function".

So very glad I found Dr. Lepis! I've seen a slue of doctors trying to determine my chronic neck pain. Dr. Lepis was the only one who addressed the issue and came up with a solution. He didn't just throw medicine at the problem like the other doctors did. He listens and truly cares about his patients. This is hard to find in a doctor these days.
He reassures you and gives you the confidence that he'll be able to help and the pain will be managed. It's been over two months since my procedure and I'm already feeling a drastic difference. His staff is efficient, friendly and welcoming. They also provide Covid tests at the facility before a procedure. I really appreciate this and it's very convenient.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Lepis and his office staff, he is hands-down one of the best pain management doctors that I have seen. Dr. Lepis takes the time to listen and answer all of my questions and is knowledgeable and makes me feel comfortable throughout the appointments! His demeanor and bed-side manner is calm, positive, and thorough.
All of my procedures are done In a surgical center in which the surgical center is also 5 stars! There was 2 times that I had spinal injections in his office, in which Dr. Lepis and his staff explained everything as he was doing the procedure and his office staff was also very comforting throughout the procedure. I had little to no pain at the time of the injection and afterwards. I would highly recommend this medical office.

I have been a patient of Dr. Michael Lepis for approximately 2 years and he is truly exceptional! He is extremely knowledgable, respectful and personable. He spends as much time as needed with me to get all questions answered and the office staff members are friendly and helpful in every way. I would highly recommend Dr. Lepis.

After careful consideration, I decided to elaborate in further detail additional information first and foremost is the violation of "Best Practices, and the oath all physicians must adhere to, "Do No Harm", which Must include verbal and psychological abuse, yelling at entrapped patients, humiliating, bullying and berating patient's in front of all personnel and any patient's in the waiting room.
A puzzling issue I must raise, is because I have multiple specialists because Lyme attack many organs such as the heart etc, each and every physician I currently see and receive excellent treatment from, All of whom treat me with the utmost respect as I am a kind, courteous, gentle, articulate, professional, educated, competent and very capable woman, being the best advocate for my dual diagnosis, having researched all current, relevant information regarding both my Lyme diagnosis and my spinal injury, enabling me to make educated decisions regarding any potential treatments I deem necessary to heal my spine administered by competent, respectful and non-injurious specialist.
My concerns regarding this provider warrants a serious complaint and report to the medical board of examiners in NJ. My own experience is further corroborated by the horrifying Google reviews of other patient experiences, subjected to the same abusive treatment I endured from this aggressive, abusive, egregious provider. Despite the fact that I faxed my recent MRI, detailed notes from my excellent previous Anesthesiologist who performed my last epidural, I sent a detailed medical history including descriptions of my many interventional pain procedures, the doctor failed to review any said items before my appointment, instead he asked his office assistant to hand him my information in the middle of the consultation!
Not only is this unprofessional it certainly reflects the way in which he practices, why bother sending in one's medical records if said doctor fails to review them! Clearly this physician has serious anger management issues, and or he is either a misogynist, or worse a potentially dangerous physician. After seeing the review eerily similar to my own experience, thankfully I made an educated decision to not let him anywhere near my spine!
I was also shocked to discover that he does not perform epidural treatments within a hospital or appropriate surgical center, failing to administer anesthesia, allowing patients to suffer through the painful procedures! Perhaps he is a sadist, or at best, one to choose if one requires additional pain administered to an existing painful spinal injury, again without anesthesia!
Upon reading his response to the other reviewer who mentioned his procedural conduct, and in conclusion, it appears that clearly this guy is not only abusive, but even scarier it is obvious he also a Bully!

I have been a patient of Dr. Lepis for a number of years. At all times I've found him to be professional, personable, responsive to my questions and my care, compassionate, and all provided in an upbeat manner and with a bit of humor. His support staff is professional as well and a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend him to anyone struggling with chronic pain!

I highly recommend this Dr. Lepis! I was referred to him by a patient of mine after the pain doctor I was treating with at the time was retiring. I would still give Dr. Lepis 5 stars even though I may wait an hour or so for my appointment, but you have to consider he takes time to listen to all questions and concerns. I have been avoiding a fusion and additional back surgery since I was 21. He has managed my pain very well and always has a plan if anything else fails. He's a great guy, down to earth who I have recommended everyone to.

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! Dr Lepis and his staff are all incredible! He's the best Pain Management Doctor I have ever worked with. And that says a lot because I played Sports all year round for 30 + years and unfortunately I've had to see PM Doctors in the past. NONE of them compares to Dr. Lepis and Comprehensive Pain Management. I will never go to another PM Doctor!
