My son had a motorcycle accident and he was taken there by ambulance. They left him in a room for 4 hours. He was bleeding everywhere. When somebody, anybody walked by he was calling out to them because he couldn't get up. He finally got help from a wonderful doctor there with an African accident. (I apologize for not knowing this mans name) Prior to this a smart Alec came in and my son asked for pain medication.
The person said "this stuff id stronger than heroine' and jabbed him in the side. You can't make this stuff up! Only when he told them he was a cancer survivor di he get any help. Sad-dont you know their called "heroes"

Be aware that the emergency room facility charge is 5500$. It does not matter what ailment you have (even if you receive only a small or meaningless treatment) you will get charged at least this amount for just walking into the door. All real medical treatments by any doctors are charged extra and on top of this. So it is like an (untold) entrance fee.
Please never even consider going here if you do not have any real life threatening emergency. By the way, one would expect that all people are nice and professional or that there is no waiting time or that there is at least a clean personal room for this amount of money. Think twice. All of this is NOT the case. It was one of the dirtiest hospital I have ever been to, hotline telephone staff in the hallway, constant wailing of sick people from open doors, and there was definitely a serious risk of getting infected by just sitting there.
And yes, I was treated in the hallway, surrounded by all people, with the doctor kneeing on the dirty floor in front of me. Honestly, every so-called undeveloped nation of this planet has a better treatment for less than 10$. Finally, the balance was demanded with a due date within 3 days, which is almost of the level of urgency spam letter have. The charge is not explained in any way on the bill and hidden "levels" of ER facility charges are randomly chosen without any correlation of medical services received.
When asked, they will just ignore you. In short, avoid this hospital at all cost when you can. The only positive is that in the 5500$ facility charge, the parking was included (but nothing else).

My dad was brought by ambulance here after a fall and probable stroke. The ER staff and ICU staff were terrific. They stabilized him and quickly enacted a care plan which has left him with no significant deficits. they were attentive and caring. Once he was out of the ICU and placed on a regular floor, it became clear how understaffed they are. The folks who do show up are hard chargers and very caring but they need more help.

I recently had surgery at WMC but picked the worst time to go during Memorial Day weekend. The hospital is probably the busiest medical center I have ever seen, and with Covid 19 on the rise again, it made it the situation even worse. But I must say that they have the best Nurses in the industry. The Nurses work extremely hard, and at a very fast pace.
The genuine compassion and respect I received from the Nurses was the reason I wrote this review. A BIG Thank You to my nurses on 6NW: Kim, Irene, Cynthia. You ladies made my stay so much better and I will never forget what you all did for me.

I see a cardiac doctor here for a condition I have. I had a cardiac surgery in the cardio cath lab and everyone was kind. I even loved that I had a female anesthesiologist. She could truly tell I was a ball of anxiety and made it easier on me. I planned to go home but unfortunately was admitted over night. I know there's a nurse shortage basically everywhere but I had nurses constantly in my room, and also aids taking my vitals every few hours.
All of my nurses were kind and dealt with my theatrics with all the pain I was in. My only complaint is that the food is actually untouchable but it's a hospital so I expected bad food. *You also need a vaccination card to get in if you plan to visit people in the hospital*

Was here two days ago and I can say I am absolutely appalled by the nurses behavior, at least in the ER. It's EMS week I guess and I over heard plenty of nurses, techs, and Drs. in the ER telling each other to go get some of the stuff provided to EMS for this week. "GIFTS, ice cream, food etc." Didn't we just go through Nurses week? I think WMC has their own EMS (at least they have trucks outside for it) this is poor behavior by the entire ER staff and should be recognized as improper treatment of fellow employees. This is absolutely disgraceful behavior from adults. I wonder what other "unsafe/problems" are in this work place.

1. Disgusting disregard of a person. I give 1 star because most of the nursing staff were attentive and efficient but overall the communication here is terrible! No one tells you what's going on unless you're lucky enough to be in the room visiting. My husband got several calls from different visiting family members with different bits of daily information about his own mother.
No consistency or regard or a patients immediate point of contact. 2. Gabi/ Gabrielle the Clinical social worker should be ashamed of herself. You tell a patient's family to choose a rehabilitation facility the day before you intend on discharging the patient. No prior communication on a discharge plan or timeline but we're supposed to make an impactful decision because you snap your fingers?
Rush us to get there the day of discharge only to come to us once to sign papers and when asked for a copy you disappeared, won't answer your phone. never to be seen again because we are irrelevant at that point to you. THEN. you had my mother in law transported to THE WRONG FACILITY! This is completely unacceptable and not the last you'll be hearing of it.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Don't count on an actual attending to see your child at the childrens hospital unless things get serious. Even then they have their medical students doing practically all the work besides decision making. The hospital is dirty. Clearly understaffed (all this even before Covid). Took my baby to the ER and a nurse didn't go in the room until an hour later after I called patient services.
Even gave birth here, a resident (a doctor still in training) tried to give me an epidural and when I specifically said I wanted the attending to do it they tried to have the resident do it without me knowing. Until I told him to get from behind me. I can go on & on. The communication with patients and even between medical staff is ridiculous, they're never on the same page with treatment plans.
One day one doctor will start one med, then whatever doctor is on the next day would stop it and start another. That whole place needs help and patient care training. Would never trust this hospital again.

I personally never had time for making reviews but after being admitted to this facility I had to do this. I was just there recently and must say the staff and the service is immaculate considering what they have to deal with on a daily basis. They made my stay super comfortable and they did their best to accommodate me as if I was in a hotel to say the least.
The staff ( just a few I could remember), Donna, Daryl, Jhonnelle, Monique, the Russian lady in the office and a few more I forgot their names went over and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as they could. The first day I went there Daryl gave me a pack of cards to keep me distracted, Donna offered on the spot therapy Jhonnelle and Monique and a few other floor staffs they were amazing.
There's also this tall nurse guy whom I forgot his name (bald dude) an amazing guy, works triple shifts omg. There's just so much I could say. You guys are amazing and I must say, keep doing what you do. I was there and I know it's not easy so I must commend you all. Thanks for making my stay a comfortable one and I love you all, keep up the good work you guys are angels. *George Bradford
