Date: May 2022 To: Whom It May Concern Considering Cataract Removal / Partial Corneal Transplant Surgery RE: Dr NICOLE M FUERST, Ophthalmologist Dr NICOLE M FUERST has asked me to write a letter of support, recommendation, and a Google review "Feedback Request" so I am only too happy to do so. I was first seen by Dr FUERST in the Summer of 2021 when my eyesight was degrading to the point of "no return, " i.e., being legally blind + UNable to legally drive!
First of all, I need to state how impressed I am with Dr FUERST's personal traits as well as her workplace ethics. Rather than trying to assign me to the next operating table as soon as possible, she took the time in repeating many of the tests done by other doctors to verify the current state of my eyes and their degradation on two (2) fronts: cataract removal + correction of my corneal (Fuch's) dystrophy. Dr Fuerst's work ethic and her detail-oriented approach to all things eye reconstruction has extended itself to larger matters. Similarly, this workplace ethic is ingrafted into her support and office staff as they too have treated me with the same caring, meticulous care that Dr Fuerst has done every step of the way up to the run-up on my combination cataract removal + partial corneal transplant surgery on Wed., Jan 5th, 2022. Dr Fuerst surgery was a 100% smashing success with NO need for me to even take one (1) Extra Strength Tylenol for post-surgery pain / discomfort.
I know that in speaking to other patients in the waiting room that she did this with many other eye patients which has endeared tremendous confidence in her surgery skillset / people skills and helped keep morale high with her office and support staff in a very high-stress medical office environment. Secondly, her persistence in always striving to be on the cutting edge of eye surgery techniques as well as contributing to and writing in peer-reviewed journals is so impressive! However, the pinnacle and apex of Dr FUERST's career may be when she was listed in the Los Angeles Times as a "2021 California Super Doctor Rising Star" = patient confidence!
This is only because Dr FUERST has gone above and beyond what an ophthalmologist could be reasonably expected to do given the amount of work and patient responsibility / office support staff demands she already has, but well versed in their needs by knowing her company capabilities + patient individual needs inside-and-out. Thirdly, Dr FUERST has a terrific follow-through attitude as exampled when she saw me the following day after surgery for a follow-up appt. and then another one a week later and still another two (2) weeks later and then a month later followed by an appt. at the 2-month mark.
This was for my monofocal intraocular lens (IOL) + DMEK / partial corneal transplant surgeries. Lastly, Dr FUERST is the type of person who patients and her employees can trust to do an excellent job in any endeavor, capacity or goal she's tasked with. Dr Fuerst did a great job for me utilizing her outstanding interpersonal skills which has also endeared the collegial support of her workplace teammates. Dr FUERST's stress-based laughter is often mistaken for her cool reserve and demeanor.
For this incarnation, when Dr FUERST's life script is coming to a close on a life well-lived, this quotation is likely to sum up her lifetime of work dedicated to the healing arts: "Do something of service with your life for other people. Because, then you'll know -- at the end of your days -- that it mattered that you were here!" -- Bob Curry, late father of NBC's retired "Today Show" co-host Ann Curry I fully endorse, support and recommend in the strongest terms possible Dr NICOLE M FUERST for one's eyesight surgeries and subsequent follow-up exams. Please do NOT hesitate in contacting me if you have any questions regarding her character and capabilities. Sincerely, ____________________ VICTOR MARTINEZ

I have been seeing Dr. Fuerst since my Lasik surgery in 2005 and have trusted him and his excellent staff ever since. The professional atmosphere, always answering questions with honest information, of course I trusted him with my recent cataract surgeriesas well. If you need to see someone, Dr. Fuerst is the clear choice for me. Literally.
