Patients often do not know there is an eye problem! When these diseases are caught early, it helps to prevent vision loss! If you want to ensure a lifetime of optimal eye health and visual acuity for yourself and your family members, there's no better place to start than by scheduling regular eye and vision exams here at Harvard Square Eye Care.
Even those patients who have never worn contact lenses can most often leave with a sample pair of contact lenses at the first appointment. As long as the patient has demonstrated to the optometrist that the new wearer can comfortably insert and remove the lenses, the doctor will provide a pair to take home.
What sets our practice apart is our ability to get the glasses spot on, especially important with progressives or higher prescriptions. We know great vision starts with the fit of the frame because the lenses need to be inserted in those frames for perfect vision. We have our own lab with an experienced optician who makes our glasses.
Lightweight, single-vision prescription lenses correct one field of vision, either distance or near. We can fill prescriptions between -20.00 and +6.00 sphere. Transition lenses help you see near and far. Our no-line, progressive lenses correct presbyopia issues. Transition lenses feature reading correction in the bottom half & distance correction at the top.

Here is the thing, the manager was so rude whenever I go to that branch. I picked that location bcz it was closer to my work place. After a year I scheduled my eye exam the doctor was nice but the manager, she was forcefully asking me to buy the contact lenses, bought those lense, they gave me trial pack of lenses but those were still not working out for me.
I did not even open the box of lenses and tried to get the refund. But she was like we don't refund those lenses on asking she said bcz the insurance doesn't let us. Long story short I talked to insurance, me kept asking for refund she made her own story and and never refunded my len charges. DONT GO TO THAT BRANCH. I'm not sure about the other one.

I wish I could give them zero. Worst experience ever! Rude, arrogant, unprofessional, not being honest about their availability. Their receptionist is very rude, she called me about my insurance details and was very rude in the phone. She was even worse in person. She refuses to help clients. She told me there is nothing available but when I called other centers they all had availabilities.

I have always had positive experiences with Harvard Square Eye Care, until my most recent appointment. For context, I have been seeing optometrists since I was 6 years old, and am fairly comfortable with the process. At this appointment I saw a brand new optometrist, who barely spoke to me. He repeatedly touched my face without any warning, even after I jumped (every time!) and asked him to let me know what he was doing.
In my experience, though I know a doctor will touch my face during an appointment, I expect them to let me know just before doing so. In addition, though I let him know I couldn't see without my glasses on (and obviously he could see my prescription), and my eyes were dilated, he left me in the room to get back out to the reception area without helping me get my things or confirming I wouldn't trip on my way out.
He didn't offer me sunglasses (when I asked at the desk they did give me some) and flipped the lights on without warning, which can be very painful with dilated eyes. Overall, I felt as though the optometrist had no understanding of what it means to be unable to see, to feel vulnerable in an optometrist's office, or to have dilated - painful! - eyes. The only reason I give this 2 stars instead of 1 is that the visit did happen. It's a low bar.

I had the best experience here just now. Denise helped fix all my old glasses. I had an old pair that was broken due to a punch to the face. Another optometrist had given up on them - Denise used a few strategic screws to bring it back to life. She taught me how to think about gasses sizing. Dr Burke also did me a solid. She measured my through my old glasses and told me point blank that I could indeed wear them without fear of making good my eyesight worse.
Throughout this, everyone (Denise, Bobby, Kathy, Dr Burke) worked around my schedule, were patient and polite, and answered all my questions. I felt treated like a human being. A+ would come again.

As Carly Simon sang. Nobody does it better. This is the best place for eye care and eyeglasses I have ever been to. Everyone who I interacted with was prompt, friendly and helpful. I forgot to get the name of the person who checked me in but I believe they were the very person who called and made sure my information was correct so check in went very smoothly.
Doctor Burke was patient and thorough. Denise helped me pick out my glasses and was amazingly helpful and knowledgeable. The promptness 100% comes from everyone knowing their shit. I was able to get an affordable pair of much needed new glasses because Denise had a full grasp of what my insurance covers and a sense of what glasses would fit my face and style.
