Associated Eyecare welcomes children of all ages promoting a lifetime of healthy vision. Our doctors and the American Optometric Association recommend an eye exam at ages 1, 3, 5, then as deemed appropriate by the eye doctor. As part of the InfantSEE program our optometrists offer a FREE comprehensive exam to all children ages 6-12 months.
Our doctors are professionals in fitting the latest in contact lens technology. We carry all the popular contact lenses including disposable, bifocal/multifocal, toric, kerataconic, and cosmetic lenses. Whether you require a standard daily wear lens or a complicated medical custom lens, we work hard to find the best vision correction option for you. If you wish to use your vision benefits to order contact lenses, please call our office directly.
Glaucoma is often referred to as the "sneak thief of sight" because in the vast majority of cases vision is lost to glaucoma with no pain, discomfort or noticeable change in vision. With more than 2 dozen distinct types of glaucoma, each with its own subtle presentation, a comprehensive eye exam is needed to detect this condition in its early, very treatable stages. In order to see properly, the eyeball requires a certain internal pressure to maintain its round shape and to nourish the eye's internal structures.
Cataract surgery has long been among the safest and most effective surgical procedures of any kind. Now, with the development of intraocular lenses which allow both near and distance vision with much less dependency on glasses, we can offer selected patients this exciting advance over standard "distance-only" lens implants.

This is the best eye exam we, myself, my wife and our son have ever had! The doctors were extremely thorough and answered all the questions I have never had answered. Our son has had issues with his prescriptions for years. He feels very confident in the description of why he never had the correct prescription after talking with the doctor. We are very happy with the service we received and we are waiting to get our glasses! They also have an excellent selection of frames!

I have found that everyone here goes out of their way to make this an enjoyable experience. I have Dr. Sasha Bishop who explains everything to me in words I can understand. She asks me if there is anything I don't understand and asks if I have any questions for her. Everyone here are all very pleasant & make u feel welcomed. I would definitely highly recommend this office (and I already have) to my family, friends, or anyone looking for an eye doctor. Thank you Associated Eyecare!

Julia the office manager or head boss, commander in chief, head charge person, president of the company. is extremely rude, and quite unprofessional. She explained to me that nobody is above her in that practice, not the doctors or anyone who works there or is part of the company. She said their is no corporate and that they are privately owned so I assume she owns the place.
She stated the doctors there are only employees of associates eye care she doesn't work for them. This was after she refused to give me the results of my last lab visit because it was so long ago. I explained I just wanted to know where my eye sight was then because I was comparing them to a friend to show my vision loss was worse than his. When I was told by her I was not entitled to any information about me, no results or lab draws that I paid for, she then decided to tell me I only paid a co pay of 3 dollars.
I think to try and disgrace me because I had Mainecare at the time as my employer did not offer health insurance and I am a single mother of two. That in itself is horrible and insensitive especially from someone in the medical field. I did some research and she can not keep my record in favor of sending them to another physician and can not withhold access to any of the information they have about me such as physician notes, lab results, prescription details.
I requested several times to speak with someone else as she was yelling and being completely rude, arrogant and unprofessional. We ended with her saying if she mails me my file I am then kicked out of the practice and can not go back. Believe me, after her, I wasn't planning to. She also tried to change her story and say she meant she could not give that info over the phone, which is bologna, I specifically asked if I could come get it or have it mailed to me. Now I know why they have so many negative reviews. JULIA. Get rid of her and maybe the practice won't be disliked by so many people.
