Hair loss is something that most men will experience at some point in their lives. In fact, some guys start losing their hair immediately after puberty, as early as 15 or 16 years of age.

I have worked with Dr. Epstein and his office for over 10 years. I believe he is a talented professional. However, over the years I have thought that the professionalism of his office and the experience as a client has slowly deteriorated. On my last experience, I had three, consecutive follow up visits rescheduled - all due to "the doctor has a surgery".
A fourth, and the final time I rescheduled, I waited for over an hour until I had to leave without being seen due to my schedule. I let office staff know along the way to no avail. At various points, I was approached by other staff people selling ancillary products, but never addressing my basic need for a follow up. And ultimately when I complained, I was told that my experience was unique and never really happens to others (doubtful).
I was also made to feel like I was to blame for these issues, since I had missed an appointment early on (while I might have cancelled late - I would never not show up). So, essentially, I believe Dr. Epstein is a skilled, talented professional who unfortunately is too scarce to provide sufficient value from a client perspective. I complained to the "intake coordinator" and office manager - and there was never any attempt to authentically address my grievances, which is actually shocking in today's service environment.
I would still rate Dr. Epstein a B, the procedure overall a B-, the general office staff a C and the overall experience a D. This is my first negative review online, so I am not someone that takes these postings lightly. I would encourage people seeking to do business with Dr. Epstein to look for the kind of practice he had when he began his career. Clearly, growth and the focus on revenue has significantly deteriorated the service experience. =============== Continued Below After Being Contacted by Dr. Epstein Dr. Epstein contacted me based on the review above.
He sincerely apologized for the experience I had and convincingly applied corrective measures within his practice. I was impressed by his genuine concern for the reputation of his practice and for my care. I chose to leave me original review "as is" because I believe the best outcomes, are these - ones where you know things can and often will go wrong, but at the end of the day, you also want to know that the owner will take ultimate responsibility and correct the situation.
I have chosen to continue with Dr. Epstein as my specialist, and I, admittedly, have new respect for him and his practice.========== Final Update Sadly, it appears that Dr. Epstein was never sincere about changing anything. He just did and said what was necessary to have the review changed. He offered a discount on laser therapy and continue dealing with his office staff. An email was inadvertently copied to me where it became clear that the staff was simply appeasing a "difficult client".
Anyone who knows me would adamantly disagree. There was never any willingness to look at the deficiencies in the practice but to simply manage me. Nonetheless, there's a lot to be said for inertia - so I was interested in tattooing or another procedure even after the email incident. When I contacted Dr. Epstein he said I would need to come in and discuss since I had had problems in the past - to which I mentioned the email - which seemed to make me the problem.
At that point he felt it was better we part ways. I agreed. The best outcome possible. I found services elsewhere and was very pleased, and in the end realized this practice was more concerned with reputation tied to money than client experience and service.

Beware, this doctor is operating multiple google accounts to hide from bad reviews and low ratings on his original page. It's been 10 years since my procedure with Dr. Epstein, I've been through hell and back. Look him up in Miami Dade public records and you will see the truth behind his practice, sued so many times. Beware of the way he words himself during the consultation, as he will drive down the point that it the"results won't look as nature did" in order to be free of liability (he will also make you sign an agreement which prevents you from winning in court if you decide to sue him). How can he state that his procedures look natural and then say otherwise?
During the consultation we only spoke of a micro graft procedure with a donor strip that would run from ear to ear. Come the day of the surgery he waited till I was strung on valium to make the cut only half the way basically skewing my head and face towards one side. I had agreed to have a med school intern participate in the procedure, this girl had no idea of what was going down. Having harvested insufficient hair he proceeded to work on the left frontal temple area starting from the front in order to leave a gaping hole once he ran out of hair and had the intern do the opposite, essentially securing an unpleasing result.
The worst part of it is that once he cuts half of the strip you are subject to having another half procedure before you can get a full strip harvested or your head will always look like it has a slanted toupee on top. That way he guarantees that you'll be at his mercy. I paid $5,700 for what he called 1200 grafts, mind you those were probably 50 hair bundles separated into groups of 2 and 1 hairs, the end result wispy and sparse.
He cuts very thin strip so he can get you back for more and boast about how the scar is undetectable. I had been saving money for 2 years prior to my procedure, I wish he told me how much for a completed job, the truth now I know, no one gets a complete job for less than $20,000. The results of his procedure took me on a downward spiral full of anxiety, depression which led me to substance abuse, job loss and even a brush with the law. I was finally able to put an end to this nightmare this year as you can see in my profile photo and I have a google review for the surgeon who fixed it.

My experience with Dr. Epstein and his staff was excellent. Just like any surgical procedure, the experience was tense and a bit nerve wracking. However, Dr. Epstein and his staff explained the procedure, answered all my questions and attended to my every need. They truly made me feel at home. It has been over a year and the results have exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Dr. Epstein to anyone considering a similar procedure.

I had a lip repair procedure and a hair transplant done with Dr. Epstein. I didn't like the way I looked before, so I figured that these procedures would help the aspects that I didn't like. The results are exactly what I had hoped for. I especially love that the results appear to look very natural. I can definitely tell that there is an improvement with my appearance, but it is a very subtle transformation. Dr. Epstein is a very kind, amiable, and professional doctor. I have already told all my friends and family about his work and definitely recommend others to go to him.

It's been just over two weeks now since my procedure and I am feeling great and wishing that I could fast forward to about 3 months from now.let me sum up the experience so far: The procedure went very well - I was "out" for most of it, and nothing hurt at all. When all was said and done, I had two gorgeously shaped, evenly balanced eyebrows, with Dr. Epstein having adjusted the slight shaping and level imbalance of the tattooed eyebrows that I already had.
I did also have a lot of bruising all around both eyes, but I expected that since I bruise like a banana. I was fortunate enough to be able to stay home for the next 10 days after that, working from home and generally taking it easy and healing. I followed the post-procedure instructions to the letter, not even daring to wash my hair, lest any water spill onto my brows.
About 7 days post-procedure, the flaking off of the crusting/scabbing began and more and more eyebrow hair was revealed. by 9 days, I was looking at a "clean" set of eyebrows that were so naturally and beautifully shaped for my face, that I realized that this was the way my brows and face would have looked had I never taken a tweezers to them so many, many years ago.
I truly believe that Dr. Epstein gave me my own looks back and for this, I am very, very grateful. I also have to thank Linda, who did such an amazing job with the placement of the eyebrows - very nice and natural. Another nice thing is the fact that the color of my brows is just right - it is my own hair color and not the color of a tattoo or eyebrow pencil.
Close to two weeks post-procedure, the transplanted hairs started falling out, as predicted, so while I was sad to see them go, I did not freak out - Dr. Epstein's written information on "what to expect" is so crucial to keeping a patient's anxiety in check. Right now, there are several scraggly patches/lines of transplanted hairs still hanging around, but for the most part the eyebrows are gone again.this is why I wish I could fast forward 3 months, when hopefully, I will start to see the new growth coming in.
My brows look a bit funny and "off" now, with the pale tattoo lines still showing, the intermittent scraggly hairs and the shadow of the transplant line above my right eyebrow (this is the one Dr. E. adjusted a bit higher than the existing tattoo), so I am using eyebrow pencil to adjust this current odd look. I am following the new brow line that Dr. Epstein created, so even the penciled-in eyebrows look better than the tattooed ones! So, there you have my happy tale.
I am so very, very happy that I had this procedure done and thrilled that I chose to have the very best doctor perform the procedure. Of course, I do have to wait to see what happens over the few months and over the next year, but I have every confidence that my eyebrows will grow in and do so beautifully!

I live in Budapest, Hungary and for this procedure I had to travel to Miami and the way was really long. A week ago I arrived back home so my experience is fresh, so I can tell that I am very, very satisfied with Dr. Epstein's work and with the team aswell. My eyebrows are absoloutly beautiful and I love them. The procedure had minimum pain. After the procedure on the second day I traveled home with 3 kids and I was totally fine, I had no discomforts. I can recommend for all of you that the best choice is Dr. Epstein, he is really one of the best.

I did a hair transplant to the mustache area on December 2nd with Dr. Epstein. He was recommended to me by a local doctor and I had done some online research. My consultation was the same day as my surgery because I traveled from out of town, from New York State. Dr. Epstein is an intelligent and caring man and his staff was also very caring, compassionate and professional.
I really appreciated their concerns. I won't know my results for five to six months because the hairs fall out and then have to grow back. Hopefully it'll all turn out great.
