My quality of life was terrible. I am very active swim, tennis, tri's, biking, hiking. I got to the point where I could not do any of them with out pain. Was nervous about surgery. Consult wit Dr Mir was great. Surgery went very well. 4 years and my back has never been better. Highly recommend.

I have suffered four long years of back pain and sciatic nerve pain. Two weeks prior to the surgery I was in a wheelchair because I couldn't walk. I am so grateful I was referred to Dr. Mir. He is an absolutely amazing surgeon! I know back surgery can be difficult, but Dr. Mir an awesome job on me. I had a laminectomy and a partial discectomy done. My pain level went from a 10 too a 2. I could not be happier with the results of my surgery with Dr Mir! I had 4 bulging discs and severe spinal stenosis. I drug myself into the surgery center and walked out without the severe pain I had been experiencing over the last decade. I am 3 months post op and could not be happier with the results. The staff and nurses were amazing as well. And to top it off every patient at DISC gets their own private recovery room! I had a great experience with DR MIR and the DISC surgery center and would highly recommend them!

I have been a patient of Dr. Mir's since December 18 & have the highest respect for him & his excellent assistants! I had surgery March 6th on my lower back L4 & L5 a Lami procedure to release the nerves that were being squished by damage I had done to my back through work & life. I had nerve pain for 8 years in my rear & down my right leg.

I tried inpatient injections 8 times; though not one ever worked to reduce or get rid of my nerve pain. I didn't want to have my back fused. I felt it was very invasive. The surgery took about 2 hours & I was at their surgery center right next door to office. They were great to me the day of surgery & kept me for 9 hours to make sure I was doing well & pain was managed.

Everyone was very professional & kind! My pain was minimal after surgery. I didn't take any pain meds after day two. I doing physical therapy & Acupuncture weekly. I still have some nerve pain; takes time for nerves to heal. I recommend Dr. Mir to anyone who has Back or neck problems because of his training & experience in minimally invasive surgery.

Doctor mir is a awesome he is so good on his job and knows what to do my husband had an accident in the road and it caused him injury on his neck that his suffering a lot because of the pain and we went and visited doctor mir and he did a perfect surgery on his neck and thank God from the beginning he didn't feel any pain and until know after 6 weeks he is doing well and even starting his job thank you Dr mir you are such a bless for us and you have a magical hands Thank you so much

My wife has a history of neck and shoulder problems. The doctor she was seeing wanted to do a fusion C2-T1, in essence fuse her entire spin. When she told me, I said no way and asked her to get a second opinion. She had been in so much pain for so long she just wanted to have a complete fusion. I looked on Google for spinal surgeons and found Dr. Mir.

We went for a consultation and the Dr. Mir was very professional, very informative. Dr. Mir recommended one fusion (C4 C5). My wife suffered severe pain in her neck and shoulder. Before the operation her pain level was an 8 on a 10 scale. Immediately after surgery her pain level was a 0. Doctor Mir was a godsend, clearly and artist at what he does. The surgery he performed on my wife was life changing. Dr. Mir is simply the best in his field!

I had horrible back pain that was plaguing me for months and tried to receive help from numerous methods and doctors. I was recommended Dr. Mir and he was able to quickly diagnose my issue. He performed my surgery and I could not be happier. The horrible pain from before the surgery is gone and the incision site is minimal and healing well. i would highly recommend Dr. Mir. He answered all my questions and is very thorough in his diagnosis and methods.

This is a such difficult review to write because I have struggled with herniated discs and failed surgeries for the past 11 years. I've had countless injections and nerve ablations, and have been in so much pain for so long. Although I desperately needed the rare and potentially dangerous thoracic spine surgery to remove the herniated disc that was lodged on the nerve root that directly affected my shoulder, arm and hand, I was unable to access appropriate medical care due to constant workers comp denials by doctors who had never seen me, and knew nothing about the pain I was experiencing.

All pain reducing medical procedures were continuously denied for over 4 years. I had less than 10% of spinal function, and was a high risk for paralysis if not treated. I consulted my primary spine specialist, and he refused to treat due to high risk associated with surgery. He told me to go home, exercise and lose the extra 15-20 pounds of weight I'd gained throughout this experience.

I requested a 2nd opinion. Nine (9) months later and a loooong story cut short, I was assigned to attend a doctors appointment with Dr. Hamid Mir. I was discouraged and angry prior to this appointment, but felt I had nothing to lose by giving another doctor a chance to review my records. When I entered Dr. Mirs office, I met one of the most incredible people in the medical industry.

Her name is Natalia, and she changed my life. She manages the front office with a professional and friendly manner. Natalia is very quick to respond to questions and so easy to work with. Natalia took every step to ensure that my experience with Dr. Mir and his staff was excellent and so different than I had ever experienced with any other spine surgeon.

Upon meeting Dr. Mir, he asked me questions about ME! He asked questions about the pain I was experiencing and what kind of spinal testing I had already undergone. Dr. Mir was direct, specific, and very thorough. It was the first time I actually felt a glimmer of hope. Dr. Mir was honest, and showed incredible attention to detail. Over multiple visits with Dr. Mir over the next few months, I found that Dr. Mir is a true professional.

He is very compassionate and truly cares about the wellbeing of his patients. Since my spine issues were not very common, he consulted and collaborated with a Cardiothoracic surgeon in the planning stages of my treatment plan. Dr. Mir requested necessary MRI, CT scans, nerve conduction studies, etc. and actually took time to study in detail the results!

He was very patient, and was an excellent communicator. Dr. Mir answered EVERY single question I had, no matter how complicated (or sometimes very simple) the question was. Although it took time to obtain approval, the surgery scheduling specialist, Nikki kept me updated every step of the way. Nikki was very quick to respond to emails, and delightful throughout the approval and scheduling process. Dr. Mir and Dr. Buch (the Cardio Thorascic access specialist. Professional, phenomenal and very kind Doctor) completed my surgery at the Cedar Sinai, Marina Del Rey location.

Following surgery, I had great inpatient care and am thrilled to be on the road to recovery. For spinal injuries, I would NEVER consult anyone but Dr. Mir. I've learned, after 11 years and many poor doctors, Dr. Mir is unparalleled to any other and will be my only medical recommendation EVER.

Dr. Mir unbelievable spinal surgeon. I had a work injuring since 2014 always been afraid to do the surgery due to recovery time and as well missing work. I had the surgery with Dr. Mir on October 9th 2017 it's been a more than a month of recovery and instead of getting worst everyday, I was getting better and better with of course with doctor's orders to change my diet and food intake no more outside food and with modified exercise believe me you'll get better, listen to him.

He just wants his patients to be better and not worst, he's strict and caring. I definitely recommend him to anyone who needs spinal surgery, I was able to go home on the same day of the surgery the nurses are very sweet ladies and the doctors are chill. I'm looking forward for a better future in life.

After a few years of progressive pain and having tried physical therapy and ablation to no avail, I learned of Dr. Mir's excellent reputation and experience. He performed surgery for spinal stenosis. Dr. Mir did my spinal fusion surgery and after 2 years of constant pain I can now say that less than 14 weeks post surgery I am a fully functioning human again! I would highly recommend Dr. Hamid Mir. He was thorough, professional and pleasant. Relief from the nerve pain I suffered in my leg and foot for over a year was almost instantly alleviated after my spinal surgery.
