Forensic Medical's mission is to provide high quality medical examiner and forensic pathology services to the citizens of the communities we serve with skill and compassion, identify public health and welfare concerns and to advance the practice of forensic medicine.
Services
An investigator is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to accept reports of death and to coordinate the release of the body to the funeral director. If you need to speak to an investigator after hours, please call the pager at 1-800-216-0107. All other inquiries may call the office during normal business hours, 8:00am to 4:30pm, at 615-743-1800, option 8 for the operator.
Here, you'll find answers to questions you may have as a family member or friend of the deceased. What hours are you open? Our office is open to the general public 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except major holidays. An investigator and a medical examiner are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to accept reports of death.
