May be the worst experience I have ever had and after 20+ years in healthcare this one takes the cake. Patient arrived with Pmhx of neuro issues and and surgeries, was left for 6 hours. SIX HOURS in pain and was never seen.after not getting any medication and continually being overlooked the patient had to leave after sheer exhaustion and discomfort!

What a total disgrace to healthcare and those patients that have experienced the same. We should have read the reviews prior to going but I'm an emergency, who thinks to do such? AVOID AVOID AVOID! I've seen better healthcare in urban outreaches than I saw here. You should be ashamed!

My dad is in the ICU and they have a DNR Against the family's wishes, I wanted him to go to Lourde's and they won't let him go, they have done nothing but discourage me, They threw my uncle out for asking for the patient advocate, No compassion whatsoever, the doctor walked out of the room in the middle of an important meeting and never came back. Completely unprofessional.

Wouldn't recommend at All the worst hospital ever came with my sick child whose face was severely swollen nose lips everything hurting and in pain and it's been 5 hours and still haven't seen the doctor being lied to about wait times. As a mother I hate to see my child in pain it's visual and they don't care. My 6 year old should not have to wait that long being miserable

Every time I come here I regret it. Can someone please tell me why they gonna only call 1 person in 2 hours multiple times even after they told this person left. And why give someone with a possible broken foot a wheelchair they can't use to go to the restroom or anywhere else for that matter. Also the woman working registration hit my possibly broken foot with her cart.

And didn't even apologize. Don't come here you may die before you get seen. And they just watched me struggle trying to go to the restroom by myself with a chair that is more like a cart with an automatic locking brake at the top of the back of the chair. Good thing I'm determined.

They don't stop billing you for everything. A simple procedure normally done in an MDs office became a outpatient surgery center procedure that added over 2000 bucks of extra out of pocket bills. Even charge for nursing tasks that should be included in the procedure. There is NO transparency on their billing practices, needs to be investigated.

I wish I could give y'all less than one star. You absolutely do not deserve it. First do no harm? Six hours in the er and not ONE PERSON even looked at my husband's foot. I just feel even worse for the lady next to me that had been there for NINE HOURS WITH SHORTNESS OF BREATH. The attitudes from your staff were unnecessary and pretentious. We understand you're busy but to not even attempt to do a physical exam in six hours is disrespect. You're doing this community an entire disservice.

Yesterday, 2/16/22, I had an angioplasty procedure in the cardiac center in Oshsner Lafayette General. To say the least, I was very impressed with the prep staff, Nurse Noelle LVN, in particular. She was very patient with me, and skilled in not only her job, but has people skills as well. Nurse Elaine, took very good care of a very nervous me, before, and during the procedure.

I can't say enough good about these two. The procedure went well, fast, and I can't say it could have been done better anywhere else. Cardiologist Ankur Lodha, was fast, skilled with his hands, and had it over with in no time. I highly recommend him. Thank you Ochsner, and staff, from door to door. G.C. Henson

My wife and I was told they had a good NICU so we got our twins shipped from new Orleans baptism so they would be closer for us to drive and see them! They said we had to be their before 6pm so we could check on them and we got their at 5:45 and they wouldn't lets us see them the also didn't give us any information about how they were doing since they arrived! Told us to come back at 8:00!

Now on their visitor time it's said they close from 6:00 to 8:00 not 5:45! We should of never got them shipped their also they had a nurse coughing the whole time we was their! I'm not happy with them

I don't recommend this hospital to nobody! I rather drive 2 hours away to my hometown before coming back here again! I went to the bathroom to give a urine sample there was blood on the rail I told one of the nurses and her response was "it's ok"! How is that ok? No one cleaned the bathroom I took it upon myself to clean it so I can be more comfortable! Nastiest hospital with lack of knowledge

Shocked by the level of service. TWICE. I was here a few weeks ago with my father-in-law and was so impressed that I chose Lafayette General for my father's procedure today. After having spent a few days at our lady of the lake in BR, I had come to expect that hospitals just couldn't get any decent help, but WOW, was i wrong. Above and beyond! The staff is not only thorough and polite, but actually friendly!

It was like everyone we met really loved their job. Haven't seen much of that around lately. It was very refreshing. When my dad was at OLOL two months ago, we couldn't get a single nurse to come help; both experiences here at Laf General were FILLED with helpful people, often 3 people in the room at once, not only attending to every need of the patient, but showing concern for the caretakers' needs as well.
