From a young age, I was drawn into the extraordinary field of science and felt a deep desire to help people. My greatest joy in practicing family medicine is the privilege of caring for the health and well being of patients of all ages. I strive to provide the level of time and attention that every patient deserves, which allows me to learn about each person's life and coordinate customized care. As a wife and mother of five children, I consider my patients an extension of my family by serving them well.
As a board certified Family Physician, my passion is to provide highly personalized care to each of my patients. My desire is to help all of my patients (regardless of age or current state of health) to optimize their physical and mental wellbeing, happiness, longevity, and productivity. I spend a lot of time with my patients in order to understand how their stressors, nutrition, environment, relationships, activity levels and more affect their health. It is my ability to listen and my desire to truly understand the root cause of a problem that led me to join the MDVIP family.
Question: I went to a dermatologist who diagnosed a basal cell cancer on the tip of my nose. He said I needed to be treated by a Mohs surgeon. I stifled the urge to say that I'd prefer Larry's or Curly's surgeon, certain that the dermatologist was too young to get the reference. He gave me some literature on Mohs surgery and made an appointment for me.

Filled form online for scheduling medical exam but noone reached yet. Their sla is 2 days but it is more than 3 days. Left multiple voice mail to Kelly (office manager) which aren't useful either. Bad experience

This office seems to have really gone down hill since changing hands. Have tried several attempts online and by phone to schedule an appointment. Won't call back or acknowledge anything or attempt. Used to be a great and easy place to come to. Disappointing

Wonderful facility. The entire staff is very friendly. Kelly and Leslie were super helpful. I went for the Canada immigration medical assessment and the entire process was very smooth.

I saw Dr. G. Patrick Guiteras once by special request. One of their former female doctors had properly diagnosed me, but apparently their was skepticism by Guiteras. We met by his special request and I found him to be very cold and insensitive. The virus I had, had put a lot of stress on me and my family. Dr. Jeffrey W. Furman was my regular doctor and he was fine.

You often had to wait a significant amount of time beyond your scheduled appointment time. He would sell his music in their lobby, which I thought was inappropriate (he was no starving artist). Years ago they scaled back their practice to two doctors (Guiteras and Furman) and went with a VIP program that required a significant annual fee. So we went on our merry way. My wife continued to see the female doctor that diagnosed me at her new practice. She is a great doctor, they apparently did not see it that way.

I wrote a review a year ago, so this is an update: When asked if my positive report remains intact, I can say, things have evolved FOR THE BETTER in terms of patient care. Every question is answered IMMEDIATELY, and this is commonplace for all Dr. Furman's patients. 2 weeks ago, I unfortunately had a serious accident, resulting in an urgent trauma surgery.

He replied IMMEDIATELY to my husband's call concerning my status. When I was transported to the rehab facility (on a weekend, ) he sent a message within hours, asking if he could visit. His response was a gift, due to My complicated health history and my concern about the meds the hospital prescribed post op. Bingo. All concerns addressed. I wish everyone had access to my physician and his practice.

It's meant so much to me to have this consistent, empathetic, and knowledgeable group of female doctors in my world. I've been seeing Dr. Bankitis for 15+ years and she's brilliant. She really cares and it shows. I've felt great with anyone there I've seen there, honestly. And they do home visits after birth!
