I don't really write reviews. I had some random pain in one of my eyes. Dr. Lee was extremely patient and kind to figure out what was wrong. I don't think other doctors would have this sort of patience.

VERY rude. They behave like they are doing you a favor. They will lecture you if you try to change any appointments all the while making sure you understand they are doing you a gigantic favor. Pay very close attention to their cancellation fees.

Very friendly doctors and staff, I feel they make you want to come back and are very patient while you make your decisions. My glasses broke and they replaced immediately, no hassle. I went to pick them up an hour after they were closed and they still let me in. Not too many companies will do that. Mrs Lee is the best. First it was me, than I took the whole family, great genuine customer service. Mr Short

I am shocked at the reviews stated here. I have been wearing glasses since the late 1970's; and found Dr. Lee when I moved to Highland Park, where his first office was. This was in the early 1990's. I have always been treated very well; the staff and Dr. Lee, have always been professional and accommodating to my financial situation. The choice of glasses were always great (I love my frame/rimless Kawasaki); and since moving abroad-because my glasses are handmade and needed to be shipped to California, and I wouldn't be there-my glasses were shipped to me abroad!

They paid the postage! I have had many eye doctors since I was a teenager, and I cannot think of a better place with such caring staff in all the years I have been wearing glasses; to replace such a terrific business! Thank You!

Get some qualified staff behind the counter. Background - referred by a friend and got an exam. Initially liked the place as they try not to up-sell too much with all these lingos I don't understand. Got two pairs for reading glasses ($500+ for the glasses) which took about 4 weeks. One pair came bent / mauled (which one lady admitted and apparently she "fixed" it and didn't fit well from day 1), given a wrong pair and when I tried at the office, one girl simply said "well, that's your prescription".only to find out I was given a wrong pair.

This pair after 3 months of wearing sporadically (reading glasses), needs adjustment (screw being loose, frame slightly bent, just cheap quality frames I think) Went to the office to get adjustments for these glasses, and when I asked for the adjustment, one lady said "wait for the doctor as he is the only one who can do this." (nothing more, didn't say how long, etc. so they can go back to looking at their phones) I waited but realized (through other people's conversation) I have to wait like 2 hours for a 3-5 min adjustment, I asked for a screw driver so I can fix it myself. However, apparently this is a frame issue and the doctor needs to heat it up (although the screw is loose).

I am going to use my heat gun to try to fix this myself. Maybe my experience of owning pairs of glasses over 30+ years is different but I never had to make an appointment or wait hours to get adjustments as qualified "technician" was always present. Usually walk-in, get the adjustment needed, then walk out in 5-10 mins. I wouldn't mind going back to this place if I lived close by, but at least 30 mins (no traffic) each way.

In short, if you need an exam and a pair of glasses, and live close to Edison, then go ahead. If you need any time of services, quality pair(s) of glasses, then may consider other options. I am certainly not going back there again.

I have had a great experience 2 years in a row. Faxes results to my primary doctors. Glasses are ready fast. Had mine ready in two days. Good selection of frames. Staff is great and super helpful!

My favorite optometrist office I've ever visited. The staff here are thorough, caring, and really invested in your care. Some offices can be pushy and want you to just spend as much money as possible but the office staff here truly look out for your best interests and work with you on what your coverage offers and what your budget needs to be. They always give me rebate forms to be gift cards back for my purchase.

They carry "Asian fit" glasses that sit better with Asian faces that have no bridge. They carry a variety of glasses style like really high end styles like Tom Ford, Burberry, etc and also niche Japanese brands to more affordable lower cost brands. If you want to try a new optometrist try the staff here! Dr. Lee, his wife Una and their team are really amazing!

I found the staff to be nice, it was the doctor that I didn't like and really wished I hadn't wasted my annual exam seeing him. I got to my appt on time and then some guy just appears and tells me to go into a room. I go in and sit in the chair and he starts asking questions. I had to interrupt and ask if he was the actual doctor at which time he said yes, I'm Douglas Lee.

Maybe it's just me, but I prefer to have my doctors introduce themselves to me especially if I am a new patient and entrusting my health to you. Further my prescription needed pre authorization, my pharmacy sent the form on Monday night, by Wednesday at 2pm he had yet to even get to it and send it back. I guess the medication isn't that important. Would not recommend, nor will I return

First and last time walking into that office after the doctor looked at my chart, looked at me and pointed at me telling me to go to the patient room without even saying my name. very unprofessional, made me feel like a number or rather another dollar.

Staff is not friendly at all. They don't accommodate you if you get little late. Should change staff definitely. never recommend to anyone.

At first I had high hopes. But the service just got worse. I didn't feel cared for at all. Stingy with contacts for me to try and no follow-up. I do not recommend. A patient shouldn't be treated as a hassle. Also I shouldn't have to re-explain my scenario every time I call or follow-up.

What a great hidden gem right here in Edison! Very nice establishment, open, clean, and welcoming. The staff are friendly and thorough. The office manager really knew her insurance (rather than other offices that don't care what your benefits may or may not cover). They were so helpful and friendly! The doctor, Dr. Lee, is knowledgeable and really knows his stuff.

He is very thorough and takes his time with each patient. We had a tight schedule before traveling abroad and they were willing to schedule us at the end of the business day past regular hours. Super flexible and accommodating! I'm super happy I've found this location (off a recommendation from my brother who utilized their services a few weeks prior). And I was told they have been open for over 20 years! To at least another 20 more!
