I have been seeing Dr Kahn for about a year. He has helped me with injections and given me the ability to live with much less pain. With that said the staff is by far the worst I have ever experienced. They lied to me on multiple occasions holding my approval request to my insurance company until I followed up 7 days after my appointment. I called my insurance company and they confirmed they had sent approval with in 48 hours of receiving the request.

They are still telling me my procedure is not approved when I have the mailed letter from my insurance company telling me I'm approved. They also told me they can only ask for one procedure approval at a time. That's a lie also, I'm approved for 2 in 90 days and told They only requested one and I'll need to come back in for a follow up to request a 2nd.

No one cares here, they have no accountability and blame COVID for being too busy. I would never wish my pain on anyone. I just wish they had some sort of compassion and care for those that are in pain.

Dr. Khan is truly carrying, understanding and the VERY BEST AT ADMINISTRATING SGB INJECTIONS! I look forward to driving from California to be seen by him. I just can't say enough. Thank you Dr. Khan.

So the way the do the injection is very uncomfortable and I have to say a little weird I get neck injections here and they have someone literally holding your head down with their two hands which is very uncomfortable when you have a spine injury and I really feel like I'm going through a drive-thru pain "specialist"! It's unfortunate that these doctors practice insurance and not medicine anymore.

I have been seeing Dr Khan for back procedures. He has totally helped my spine issues. Which extends my quality of life to be out of pain. The staff is always nice and professional. Thank you for your help Dr Khan. You're the best. I have seen other Dr's with no help or improvement. I would recommend Dr Khan to help anyone with spine issues.

I have been experiencing intermittent lower back pain for a number of years. Finally at almost 75 years of age I went to Arizona pain and spine Institute. Dr. Ryklin administered steroid treatments, followed by oblation on both sides of my lower back. Both procedures only offered temporary relief from the pain. At his encouragement I've tried kyphoplasty which has made it possible to walk again without pain. I am thankful that another form of pain relief was available and that this procedure has made a difference in my daily life.

I used to think highly of this practice. Dr Ryklin and Staff used to be fabulous. Well sadly that is definitely not the case anymore. Not only do they have NP's that pass judgment. But they also don't listen and then deny you treatment when you previously had gone for a few years and were loyal, transparent and now have supporting documentation to attest to a one time issue that was turned into refusal of patient care.

The Supervisor was not only rude, condescending, but did not listen just like the one NP out of many I'd previously had seen with zero issues, yet one destroyed my character, when it was a Neurological, Kidney issue. This not only shows incompetence but also shows negligence and discrimination when they never had factual based medical documentation to back it up.

But I do. One person who can falsely accuse, document can really harm someone and cause further injuries, suffering and denial of continuity of care. I don't know how this practice can ethically, stay open and dismiss people like they're nothing. The staff I spoke with was unprofessional, rude, unethical, incompetent in a supervisor, or provider position.

If they can't listen to the patient, allow for supporting medical documentation to be submitted yet can bill me for procedures only. Show's they're only in it for one reason and that is money. It's definitely not quality patient care they all took an oath to provide. They should have escalated this matter to Dr Ryklin, as a at one time was a supposedly great patient. (It was because they could bill for procedures and make tons of money) They should have looked through all my files and records to see that I was a transparent, law abiding, ethically and morally sound, patient that for years had excellent chart reviews.

Instead they chose to deny me continuity of care. Have rude, condescending staff who thinks it's ok to talk down to people. Well, as a Medical professional myself, I know my patient rights and law's. I know when I've been dismissed, neglected, and that making money is there top priority. I will be looking into any and all claims to verify they were submitted correctly.

I will be filling a formal complaint and all supporting documentation I have in which no one would listen, nor cared to resolve in a professional manner. Instead, I am a number. Just like the entire clientele they have and are making a fortune off the backs of people suffering. Any good medical practice, entity would have never allowed this to transpire. They truly out themselves by their actions, non actions and blatant dismissal. I at one time would have highly recommended this practice. Wow was I ever fooled. Not again.

Let me begin by saying that I come from a family of medical professionals. I understand the difficulty of caring for the injured and elderly. However, the people here have the bedside manner of a jumping cactus. My mother is a patient here. She recently had to get a procedure that required sedation. There was no notice that I had to stay on premises during procedure, so I ended up missing work with no notice.

They do not provide internet for those waiting, which would have allowed me to go back to work. When I asked for a mask so I could wait inside they told me I had to stay in my car. The ladies were beyond rude as I was asking questions, and took on an attitude like I should have know this information already. If I could give zero stars I would.

One of the doctors discriminated against my face covering. Even tho it was a bandana that has already been said can be used as a face covering. So the fact the doctor forced me to put on a surgical mask and take my bandana off. Then didn't like how I put on the mask and now has made me waste my time waiting for her even tho she was late to my appointment.

Do I feel she discriminated against me just because my choice of face coverings. So now I got to deal with my pain longer because she didn't like the way I put my mask on. I thought this was a pain doctor's office not do what I say or I will not see you. I'm sorry that unprofessional when I have been to this office 3 other times and had 0 incident. Then now get turned away because one of your doctors feel my choice of face coverings isn't good enough.

What can I say, I am not a patient. I am a friend of one of there patients. I took this friend back and forth to there appointments for about 2 years. Thank heaven I don't have chronic pain, and I won't try to preach my beliefs about opiates and there role in treating someone with chronic pain. I have seen what happens when my friend ran out and went through withdrawals, and how she interacted with society and her family and friends when she were absolutely blasted from the "high".

I'm trapped because my friend does not deserve like millions of others to have to live there lives in chronic pain and suffer. But to watch them succumb to liver, kidney, intestinal problems etc. slowly but surely is heartbreaking. I'm sure if I had a dibilitating painful condition and I was told that opiates and other powerful pain medicines would be available, and would allow me to live without excruciating pain I would take them even if in 20, or 30 years my organs would start to shut down as a result of taking them for so many years I would do like my friend and take them.

It makes my heart ache for her and all the others that don't have any other options. I feel extremely lucky and blessed that I don't have pain like that and i hope that one day there will be an alternative for those people that have to go to Pain management clinics.

I recently moved to Arizona from Idaho and transferred my pain management provider to Arizona Pain and Spine Institute, during my first appointment I was impressed at the detail in which Rachel had reviewed my medical record and understood my conditions, it was as close to a seamless transition as you can get. I have since had a second appointment with her and again I felt that she was very familiar with my situation and took the time hear and discuss how things were going since my last visit.

After my last visit my wife said to me, isn't it amazing that Rachel picked up on and remembered a very specific detail about my treatment that we had to remind my Dr. of in Idaho, prior to a treatment. The front desk personnel are friendly and easy to schedule appointments with and I receive a phone call in advanced of my scheduled appointments. I am very happy with the care I am receiving at Arizona Pain and Spine Institute and highly recommend them.
