Neurology & Sleep Medicine

Waits are so very long. Unprofessional staff. Blame others like the DMV for their own mistakes. Forgot to put a date on my medical review thing and have to completely redo it because of their incompetence.

Dr Wong was very helpful with reading my MRI. He helped me get the next diagnostic tests. I'm seeing someone for the follow up. With issues regarding the brain, if one is not calm, then this should be your focus. However, after reading the reviews, i can understand the frustration! I now remember how the primary physician's office had to call the team here because they couldn't act on X3 faxes. Yeah, I'll downgrade the review if my visit tomorrow is anything like these others. As an update, i went in for my results for the EEG. I had a good result and the PA was really cool. I'm giving this 5 stars despite the booking prices was not easy.

Dr. Wang is awesome but I don't think he's involved anymore because I never see him and the place isn't the same. All you see now are arrogant PAs and NPs who think they are better than you. Even his staff, especially Heather, treats you absolute like dirt just because you use Medicaid and don't have fancy insurance. I feel like a second class citizen every time I set foot in there. I wish he would have passed the business along to someone like him. What a shame. He is tarnishing his legacy as a friendly, caring doctor.

If I could give this practice a ZERO in a heart beat I would. I have personally worked in the medical field for many years now so before judging or criticizing I always give each office and provider a shot. Dr. Wong is a sweetheart but you only see him at the first visit as a new patient after that you see on of his NP or PA. Samantha his PA is horrible and had the worst bed side manners, doesn't listen and gives you the dirtiest look ever like if she is better than you After multiple test and studies completed they were still not wanting to give me my proper diagnose to start me on correct treatment plan.

My labs were also lost and took them over 5 months to inform me even after multiple times trying to contact them. If you ever end up getting a referral here I would suggest you contact your provider to get a new referral somewhere else. I switched my care to Barrows Neurological Institute and I 100% recommend them. It is worth the 3 month wait to see them. The providers there were shocked that I wasn't diagnosed and treated after my first scan.

Horrible horrible communication. Many medication delays because they won't return calls or send prior authorizations on time. I always have to get a call from the pharmacy saying that they can't get a hold of the doctors office and then spend days/weeks trying to contact them just so they will contact the pharmacy. My physician assistant was horrible and misdiagnosed me because she was too lazy/uneducated to keep testing. Dr. Wang is great, but you never get to see him.

Office management pretends they are a medical doctor who can withhold prior authorizations on medications just because they don't feel like helping that day. Stay away from this evil practice at all costs.

Horrible office all the way around. I have multiple sclerosis. I missed a call from the office to set up an apt as a referral from my primary. I had called back 5 times in 4 weeks, no call back at all. Finally I get someone on the phone and make an initial appt. They procrastinate getting me back on my ms meds. Wanted me to wait almost 3 months before even talking about meds.

In the mean time I had a flare up. I called the doctor 3 times no call back, thank goodness I had an apt already set up for the next day. They gave me the run around with a specialty pharmacy for iv steroids which I called the pharmacy they never received the order so I call back the office they said they'll call me back when they figure it out no call back.

I end up going to the hospital, neurologist at the hospital and the er doctor tried multiple times to get in touch with the on call doctor (dr wangs office) no answer no call back. I called there's no answering service just a voice mail. Needless to say I will not be continuing treatment with Dr. Wang or any associate from neurology and sleep associates in Mesa. I do not recommend to anyone.

Pros: Nice looking place Cons: 1. Receptionist has a bad attitude! 2. Scheduling is terrible, they dont know where a patient should be going, my father needed pain management and got scheduled with a neurology doctor. 3. Billing Dept. still billed my father for the neurology appointment even though it was their fault they didn't schedule him correctly. 4.

Nobody helped my father with the questions he had regarding the initial patient paperwork, I had to miss work to drive down there and help him. 5. Appointment was at 8:40, we were taken back until 10:30 I hate to give a 1 Star but this place truly needs to step up there management! Oh and please hire a different receptionist, at least one who smiles and greats people not one that talks down to you!

It's like pulling teeth to get anything accomplished at this office. Dr. Wang's staff on Ellsworth are great. The Vineyard location is ran like an after-thought. EVERYTIME Hannah is responsible, I have to leave work early to go there and personally remind them to (refill a med, auth/approve something, etc.) Lynn is nice and helpful. Bennie is a great advocate, but it shouldn't be necessary for a patient to have to press an office to get very basic things accomplished. Things which are tiny to them, but effect my daily life and job performance.

Pros: They get you in and out quickly Cons: -They are always late past 8 AM -They have poor management, everyone seems to do as they please -I had a follow up appointment which costed $90 and the lady said that she would make sure to bill it, but when I called later they said I didn't owe anything, a week after that someone called me saying I do owe money.

I shouldn't have to remind a company or ask them how much I owe. They should be on top of it. What business wouldn't want to be paid? Overall, they are okay to go to, but the billing department is a mess so just make sure to stay on top of things for yourself.
