Usually happy with the care. August 7, 2018 with Dr Laura Woodbeck and nurse Michelle was not one of those days. Brought in 19y/o for physical. Part of that was removing ear wax. It was BAD! My son was crying and telling nurse to quit and she kept blasting water/ peroxide mixture into his ear from a large spray bottle with a tiny tube on top. Appt ended with clueless MD handing me a card for an ENT and telling us to use Advil for pain.
My child was screaming in pain and had blood running out of both ears! The nurse and MD both were ashen and definitely CYA. I called the ENT and we got in within the hour. ENT was concerned about burst ear drum etc. In the end, I called PIP to ask to be reimbursed for $218 bottle of ear drops, two office visits to ENT and an audiology hearing test because if the PIP people did their job right, none of that would have been necessary.
The verdict is = they did nothing wrong and " regret" the inconvenience. Seriously? Very poor care and even worse patient concern. When they say they love kids etc. it's a crock.

I have mixed feelings about this clinic. We have had really great experiences with two doctors and some not good experiences with another doctor. Pros include ease of making appointments, especially at the last minute though it's usually not with the doctor we like. Their walk-in option is nice and convenient. Nurses are also super friendly and helpful. Cons are old facilities from the waiting room to the patient rooms and this is the case for the Maple grove and Brooklyn Park clinics. Also, maybe this is the norm but we have a hard time getting anyone to tell us a weight on our baby in pounds- it's always in kilograms. Lastly, there is a doctor at the BP clinic that has poor communication skills. He has made me (mom) cry twice- we will NOT see that doctor again.

I recently stumbled across Partners in Pediatrics page on Yelp and was absolutely shocked by their score and reviews. When I was pregnant with my son, I inquired on facebook seeking recommendations for a pediatrician, and received dozens of recommendations and rave reviews about Partners in Pediatrics (I'll be referring to as PIP in this post).
The only way I can comprehend this low score is that people that are happy with their doctor simply didn't think to go on yelp to review. Frankly, I wouldn't necessarily have thought to go on yelp for a dr either had I not been playing on Yelp in the Caribou a few doors down and it came up as a business near me. I assume it has only been people that have had bad experiences that have taken then time to go on and review.
So here is my review. After receiving tons of rave reviews about PIP I attended one of their orientation/information sessions when I was ~8 months pregnant. The doctors we spoke with were very informative, covered all of our questions, made us feel really at ease as first time parents, and told us a lot about the clinic. One of the big draws for me to PIP, aside from the staff, is that they have fantastic evening and weekend hours!
I have already used the weekend Urgent Care when my son came down with pink eye. I walked in and was seen by a doctor within 15 minutes! That is something that is basically unheard of at most urgent cares on weekends. We also have been taking my son here since he was born for his well baby checks and shots. We absolutely LOVE Dr. Ellis, and I honestly look forward to taking my son to see her.
She is so sweet and knowledgeable. We have seen a few other doctors as well when we were in the hospital after my son was born, and they have all been great. They also were very accommodating to my needs when I was there. Toward the end of our appointment my son was hungry and needed to nurse. They told me to take as long as I needed in the room (most places you feel rushed to get out so the next patient can come in), and brought in a few different nursing pillows for me to use.
Reading some of the negative reviews, it is important to keep in mind that some of the complains revolved around the front desk staff. I personally have not had a problem at all, and have found them to be great, but that is not a reflection of the care. I also want to point out that everyone doctor does what they can to take the best care of their patient.
They will go over any procedures, testing or items they feel are in the best interest of your child, however, you always have the right to refuse. I can guarantee that no one was given a vaccine without consent or forced to have procedures.

Recently took our 12 month old for a wellness visit. When we were seen by the doctor we had asked to learn about the clinics view on breastfeeding and holistic health. The Dr. proceeded to tell me that there was no nutritional value for me to breastfeed past one (even though the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends continuing past one year) and that my child shouldn't need to nurse for emotional support and that it would affect her palate and her teeth could be crooked later due to extended breastfeeding.
All NOT true! The doctor hardly said anything about my daughters development or health but had plenty to say about why we should vaccinate and seemed very irritated when our one year old was squealing. I will keep looking for a location that appreciates my business and is up to date on current research.

Wow, Yelp truncated my last review to one paragraph. Interesting. Do not take your child here. They sent us and a 5 day old baby to Minneapolis for unnecessary testing. When we got there, they said that we could have just stayed in Maple Grove and the procedure they wanted it's to follow was outdated by 6 months. It was a 4 hour ordeal. They've also asked us multiple questions that they should have the answers to because it involved a medical procedure or immunization that they performed.
One included a request to schedule a procedure ALREADY PERFORMED at the hospital and checked at the first office visit. It's scary and incompetent. When I complained, I got indifference and no one ever called back. Update: No one ever called me back to schedule our second appointment or address the mistakes they've made. Again, save yourself the grief and go somewhere else, especially if you are a tired new parent that doesn't have time for this bs. You don't want to put your baby at risk with these people.

We went first thing Sunday morning for a child with a sore throat. It was crowded, but they were fully prepared for a busy morning. We were checked in and registered quickly, and had very short wait time. I guess they have 5 doctors working weekends which helps explain why we were seen so quickly. Dr Bach was friendly and knowledgeable, as well as his nurse. I recommend them and would go back.

I honesltly have no complaint about this place. I only wish we still lived close enough to use them. At times the Ready Care wait can be a bit long, but it's ready care, so we can't expect to be seen immediately and the fact that they even offer this level of care is a testimate to their awesomeness. Dr. P is amazing, his years of experience show through.
I also loved Dr. S. Klien (she's a fire cracker) and Dr. Meyer, who we used more often than now. I wasn't a huge fan of one doctor, I find him to be distant and seemingly annoyed at basic questions (he isn't very warm) but he's not a doctor, doctor, so you may not ever have to see him.

Positives : Excellent doctors, nice staff, and the best part is that you can walk-in and get the treatment. My 3 year old pulled her elbow, we took her to PIP and immediately they treated her without delay. I was so relieved. I am complete fan of this place. Negatives : It's more about adminstrative issue. This is when I take my son, for his routine shots.
These are by appointment. They make us wait outside in waiting lounge, which I can live with, but then once inside, they make you wait more, for the doctor. This gets frustrating, as the boy is butt naked and waiting in one closed room for 30 mins. If you can wait that long for the good doctor it might be worth it. I sincerly think if they streamline the process the wait could be avoided. For regular shots, which is 5 mins task, it takes us almost 1.5hours or more total time.
