I was charged for a no show appointment. I had a 7:45 AM appointment which I completely forgot. The staff called me at 7:50 AM to remind me. There was no other reminder SMS or email sent. I said I could make it in the next 10 mins. To my surprise the staff said they cannot accommodate me and charged me $100. This is really the worst experience I have had with my 4 years in San Ramon where the staff are so rude and cannot be accommodative of even a 15 minutes delay. When I had my previous appointment with them I was made to wait 10 minutes before seeing the doc. Am I supposed to charge you guys for it?

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Temkin and after going to him for two visits I am no longer a patient of his and transferring to another doctor office.

Dr. Temkin is first a nice guy, easy to communicate with and straight forward. Hard to not trust a person that shows he cares by listening and works to solve your issue. Great doctor. John Heverly

Absolutely INSENSITIVE Staff and customer service. You caused so much pain to my family; I will go to consumer court and also pursue suing your company for such an insensitive treatment towards customers. THIS IS OUTRIGHT NOT ACCEPTABLE. Bad behavior and insensitive approach towards my wife caused unnecessary trauma who is already going through treatment. We are taking this very seriously & will report to also Better Business Bureau. NEVER HANG UP PHONE on Customers.

I've been going to Dr. Temkin for years now and I've stuck with him, because he listens to his patients and truly cares. It's always a great chat when having to go too. The vibe of the office is clean, modern and makes you feel comfortable too. I recommend him to anyone!

Absolutely amazing doctor! Been a patient of the Doc for over 15 years, he has always been a straight shooter, doesn't cram pills or surgery down your throat. He genuinely cares about your well being. I could never imagine having a different primary. Him and his staff are patient and kind. You won't regret being his patient.

Dr. Temkin is one of the best primary care physicians and he has always been on top of my health. He would never disrespect a patient. He has longevity with his patients.

Dr. Temkin is always attentive and works with me on my ongoing health as well as when the occasional seasonal cold pops up. Have been a patient for 4 yrs now and am very happy with his services as well the front desk staff and nurses.

Dr. Temkin has been my primary doctor for around 10 years now. He is very diligent, understanding, and affable. Excellent doctor, would recommend to anyone.

I have lost 50 pounds by following Dr Temkin, Kai and the LeanMD program. If you are looking a structured plan, personal accountability and a great support staff, look no further than Dr Temkin and staff. They will get your results if you follow the program.

Overall great doctor! However, he tends to be out of town a lot and barely checks his messages, so if your in need of help or need to refill, your going to have to wait until he is back from vacation. That's the only downfall. I wish he would be more available.

The front desk staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional. They were talking down on the new company that I work for and even went as far as to say that I shouldn't work for them. The front desk ladies were also openly talking very negatively about a coworker that was not present. They were very rude and petty which has caused me to decide to not return to this Doctor in the future due to having such bad front staff.

The doctor and his assistant were great, it's very unfortunate that their front staff acted the way they did. Hold your front staff to a higher standard if you want patients to return.

Very displeased with this Dr and his office. I went in to get some insight on why I had been feeling depressed and ways I could try to fix what was going on. When seeing Dr. Temkin all he said was I can give you medication other than that I can't really help you. I try my hardest not to take medications unless its absolutely necessary, which I told him.

He continued to push the medication side of things and said he doesn't deal with alternative ways to help me. The appointment lasted a mere 5 minutes and I walked away with no professional insight or help--just a bill for $200. I later called to dispute this bill due to the lack of professional insight and help and Dr. Temkin quickly declined. This shows how much he really cares for his patients. I would not recommend this so called Dr.

If I could give a zero star I would. He's okay if you want to lose weight but don't take anyone with any serious medical issues to him. I can't disclose the total story here, as I may be threatened or staff will retaliate. He has poor knowledge of complex medical issues. Smiles a lot but doesn't listen. You may find some positive reviews but they are probably friends or family reviewing him. It's one's health, so read and listen to the negative reviews.

Find someone else to go to in the East Bay. Reply: I was referring to my elderly relative with cancer. NOT A DRUG USER. I should sue you for libel. You proved my point. I have three words for you: Angry incompetent provider! I hope your (future and present) patients read this review and see how you are trying to smear my reputation by claiming false accusations. You are one angry person.

Been with Dr. Temkin 14 years. Excellent care. My family sees him as well. Pays attention to detail. Very experienced doctor, knows his stuff! The B12 shots are offered here too, great for energy and weight loss!

Absolutely insulting. My last appointment this Fall ended with Dr Temkin abandoning me as a patient without warning or due cause. He was unsympathetic and had many excuses why he had no time listen to my history, context or even my reason for the visit during our (5 minute!) appointment. If you are into being patronized and talked over while being insulted he will gladly take your money and pat himself on the back for being rid of you quickly.

Staff are kind and professional, also they seemed embarrassed and concerned at the outcome. Dr Temkin is loud and intimidating don't let the pic fool you he is a steam roller/ coach type communicator in my opinion has some lurking bias.

Dr. Temkin has been my physician for over 20 years. He is the best, takes time to consult, build relationship, reviews records in detail and is very pleasing to talk to. His staff is very professional and courteous.

My initial impression upon calling Mr Temkin's office was very favourable, I have a trapped nerve in my neck that I was searching for Osteopathic treatment for and the woman I spoke to was able to get me a next day appointment! If you've ever been in this amount of nerve pain before you know how crucial time is. My intention was to alleviate some of the pain so that it is close to tolerable, while I begin investigating through traditional allopathic routes with an M.D.

I very specifically confirmed on the phone that this appointment would be for Osteopathic treatment, and although I was told that, yes he does do osteopathic manipulation, the answer was evasive enough to make me concerned. I'm grateful for the previous Yelp reviewer who unfortunately found out first hand about this. Very disappointed that the seemingly nice receptionist yesterday tried to take advantage of someone in pain. Called back and cancelled the appointment after the person I spoke to today said "No, he does not do osteopathy".

Very frustrating to be given the run around when I'm in such pain but at least I'm not lining his pockets after being brought there with the promise of a lie. It's also clear from his response to the previous reviewer that he doesn't value his own educational background. If you consider yourself a "board certified "real" internal medicine physician" what then of your qualifications, you are after all a doctor of osteopathy not a medical doctor.

I have had many primary doctors through my life but Dr. Temkin and his staff are by far the best. They're are professional, attentive, caring, understanding and more. I cannot say how much I appreciate the medical care and advise I receive from Dr. Temkin and all of his staff.

In search of a DO - as advertised by this doctor on the internet - I stumbled upon Dr. Temkin's name, although his office was about an hour drive from my house. I had heard good things about DOs in general from friends and I was very eager to see what doctor Temkin, a self proclaimed DO - as advertised - had to offer towards my health and well being!

Within a few minutes into my conversation with Dr. Temkin, I was completely disappointed. His response was (despite the fact that he sells himself as a DO on the Internet), that he has a little bit of training as a DO, but he is really a family practitioner/Internist. I was truly dumbfounded and didn't know what to say! At the time of my visit, I had severe acid reflux problem among other issues and in dire need of immediate medical attention, but he seemed completely indifferent and for the next few minutes he completely wasted my time by telling me how he spends the first session of a new patient to just say hello and to talk about totally irrelevant matters!

This was one of the worse experiences that I have had with a doctor and a complete waste of my time and money. Charging people very handsomely to just say hello to them! Simply unbelievable.

In the past few years since seeing Dr. Temkin, as my physician. I have never felt better about be well taken care of with my health and well being. My seeing him and his staff have given me self-confidence that I could change my direction to a healthier me. Thank you Doctor. Alias it has come down to Insurance cost and as the cost of our family health plan has gone up by 18.1% each of the last three years with Blue Shield/Anthem PPO carriers.

This year we have had to move over to Kaiser HMO plan to keep the cost down to last years prices. Wish us luck. So I was saddened that I would not be able to keep, Dr. Temkin and his wonderful caring staff, Erica, Sue, Rochelle, Julie, Mariah, Anjelica, and previous staff members over the years. I find Dr Temkin to be a very good approachable doctor that takes the time to understand you as both a patient and an individual. He cam highly recommended to me from another medical colleague and he has lived up to his reputation. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good physician

I have been seeing Dr Temkin since he initially opened office. He is very affable, an excellent communicator and current with all medical technology. His staff is is a reflection of his attitudes making me feel good about seeing him. I have recommended him to several other friends of mine whom are now his patients. I cannot say enough about him and his organization as they are all first rate!

I've been seeing Dr. Temkin for about 10 years and absolutely love having him as our family doctor. He is one of the few doctors it seems that takes time to listen to his patients and partner with them on treatment options. I never feel like I'm in a rush and he doesn't pile on appointments so closely that I end up waiting a long time in his waiting room or the exam room. If you want a doctor that listens and cares for his patients, look no further than Dr. Temkin.

I've been going to Dr Temkin for the past few years. The office staff are very friendly and helpful with getting appointments and followups scheduled. My needs from health care have been relatively minor, but I found Dr Temkins is thorough in his assessments and offers practical age appropriate suggestions to improve his patients overall quality of life.

Kudos to Dr. Temkin's office staff today! I came in for my appointment and while in the exam room with Rachelle, I started to feel nauseous and light headed. This was a side effect of taking medication on an empty stomach. I honestly thought I was either going to pass out or get sick. Rachelle immediately went to get help. Erica brought me water and something to eat.

They were very attentive and made sure all my needs were met - wouldn't even let me leave until I felt better to drive. I was deeply touched by their genuine concern. A HUGE "Thank You" to Rachelle, Erica, Sue, Anjelica, Julie & Mariah. They are extremely compassionate and provide outstanding patient care. Tops on my list!

If you need to book a last minute appointment, Dr. Temkin's office can usually accommodate. I came back from my Thailand trip with an allergic reaction so I wanted to get everything checked out. While I was there, I had all of my questions ready for Dr. Temkin, but he was only able to give me very vague and general answers on how to treat my allergy.

I also wanted to get my blood work done in the same day so I was sent over to the nearby lab which was only 5 minutes way -- very convenient! However, after my blood work results came in, the doctor's office called me to say that "labs all look great" and that was it. I asked for a copy to be sent to me and it's a good thing I did because I scanned through the paperwork and it turns out I am considered to have borderline high cholesterol. THIS IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION. I'm someone who exercises 4 times a week, I'm in the healthy BMI range, I've done the BodySpec DXA scan (breaks down your body region by region into fat, muscle, and bone) and it showed that I'm in the athletic range, I am mindful of my intake and don't eat processed foods, but I am bordering high cholesterol -- almost certain this is due to genetics. Dr. Temkin should have let me know so I can be proactive about my health, instead of giving me the generic "everything looks fine". Really disappointing and I will be looking for another physician who cares about helping me maintain/improve my health.
