This is the worst place to take your infants and children. They are slaves to big pharma. I received an email today pushing me to vaccinate my INFANT with the experimental Covid 19 shot. How can a pediatrician highly recommend an experimental 'vaccine' for infants and children who are completely unaffected by Covid. Shame on them. They care nothing for your children.

I've taken my children to Chapel Hill Peds for the last 7 years and we couldn't be happier. Dr. Mary Braithwaite is absolutely amazing, very practical but also extremely knowledgeable and on point. They take walk-ins with incredible flexibility. Overall it's an excellent practice. It would be great if they had more technological capabilities, like messaging doctors with questions. But you can call if you have a question and leave a message and they get back to you same day.

It is frustrating that Chapel Hill Pediatrics requires an online virtual visit--for which they charge both you and your insurance--just to be able to get a COVID test for your child. We have not heard of anywhere else doing this. The virtual visit is completely perfunctory, a waste of time and effectively acts to restrict access to testing (and causes what should otherwise be a free test to cost you money). Having been through this with them a number of times (where again there is nothing you could say on that video visit to change the outcome) it is hard to draw any other conclusion than it is purely a money grab.

The doctors are fantastic. People are generally friendly. That's the extent of the good things I have to say this office. The rest is a master class in how to not run a business. Everything from scheduling, to their phone system, to getting lab results is nothing short of absolute incompetence. They will neglect your child. I have two toddlers that are patients here. Naturally, we need to visit the doctor frequently.
I have *never* had an appointment start fewer than 25 minutes late. In fact, every appointment in the last 18 months has started *at least* an hour late, including appointments scheduled months in advance. Every. Single. Time. 15+ appointments in a row. They stick you in a room, and then let you entertain a screaming, sick baby for an hour. It's so bad that it crosses the line from simply "late" to negligent and reckless.
Sick kids need food, water, and rest, and being ignored for hours prevents all of those things from happening. I also have to rant about the complicated mess of a phone system that makes it nearly impossible to connect with anybody. Today, I tried and failed for 15 minutes to talk to a real person. "If you'd like to speak to the appointment desk, press 2." I press 2. "You've reached the prescription line." WTF?
Every single phone option led me somewhere other than where it was supposed to send me. There are also two "Press 2" options and two "Press 1" options, and they're not communicated in sequential order. There's also no way to set a general consultation appointment. The only appointments types are regular "well visits" or same day emergencies. It's impossible to schedule an "I want to check in on this, but it's not an emergency" kind of visit that every other doctor's office on the planet allows for. Thanks but no thanks. I'll be finding another pediatrician that doesn't leave my sick kids to rot in a room while they figure out how to do their jobs.

My wife and I are first time parents. Aside from having challenges with getting through via the phone, our experience has been fantastic to date. For our newborn visit, we met with Dr. Braithwaite, who entertained all our concerns and encouraged more questions. After hours, we had a concern with our child and Meg, part of the office staff, immediately got us a Zoom meeting with Dr. Robinson, who reassured us that our concern was not serious. We look forward to our next visit

Dr. Morton is a wonderful doctor! My son was having flu like symptoms and the staff was quick to get me in on the same day! Dr. Morton was very personable, informative, and immediately addressed all of my concerns! It was close to closing and he never once made me feel rushed and took the time to answer all of my questions. I had an overall great experience and will definitely be bringing my son back for any future checkups. Thank you Dr. Morton and the great staff members at Chapel Hill Pediatrics.you all are great!

I'm convinced we found the best peds office in the country. Seriously. These folks are knowledgeable, kind, and caring. We've met several of the docs in the last four months, and every single one has been amazing. HUGE thanks to Mara and Dr. Merritt for staying late tonight to help our little man with respiratory issues. It saved us a visit to the ER, and even though they were working past closing, they never seemed annoyed and they remained professional and compassionate. We love Chapel Hill Peds!

CH Peds has provided care for my three year old son the last three years. His primary pediatrician and all the others we've seen for unscheduled visits have provided excellent care. I've also worked frequently with both back and front office staff for billing, scheduling, medical records etc. All my requests are handled quickly and professionally. I have absolute trust in CH Peds.

This is the best pediatric facility I have ever been to. We have lived in AZ, TX and recently moved to chapel hill from Fuquay. I love that they have early morning and late afternoon sick hours. Dr. Johnson is such a pleasure and is thorough with all of his exams. The staff are always friendly and it's conveniently located. Thank you chapel hill peds! We are lifers.

I just got a bill for over $300 for my son's well child visit that my insurance should cover 100%. When I called to inquire why I was told 1. it was because we covered things that were not standard to a well child visit so we were billed for another visit at the same time. My insurance declined to pay for two visits. The things we covered I was told were not standard were issues with diahreah around certain foods and my 2 1/2 year old spontaneously reporting his father's new girlfriend is mean and hits and hues him.
We received a referral for a therapist. I was also billed $205 because his father scheduled a separate appointment to talk to the doctor. I have informed the office I have an order of protection against his father for domestic violence. I provided them a copy of the paperwork. I told the office I did not make or authorize the separate appointment and that my son was not present.
They told me I was still responsible for the bill because my name was on the account. I informed them that I had an order of protection because of intimate partner violence and there was a copy of the order in my son's file. I told them this was additional financial abuse and asked them to bill his father. They told me that I was responsible for the charges because I was on the account.
When I asked to know how I could be removed as the responsible party and offered to come in to fill out paper work the billing supervisor disconnected the call. I learned when I showed up at the office to try to complete paper work the billing people go home at 4:30pm. My call was disconnected at 4:46pm.

Tried several clinics in CH, including those affiliated with UNC Hosp. This is the best one ever! So we move to this place for our kids. Staff and nurses/doctors are really nice. Everything is clear and simple. My wife likes it because it has less troubles when filing claims and dealing with insurance. Everything is just simple and quick. I especially like their walk in time. They even let us go home to avoid waiting in there and give us a reminding call, so we can wait at home. Like it! Highly recommend!

Dr. Hosford and the Chapel Hill Pedatrics staff goes above and beyond. They are, hands down, the best pediatric practice that we've ever worked with. Their online portal is convenient and easy-to-use, the facility is clean and inviting, and Dr. Hosford has been incredibly helpful in taking care of our kids. She's patient, knowledgeable, personable, she remembers all the little details, and she's been a huge ally in providing care for our child with special needs. We're healthier and happier because of the amazing people at Chapel Hill Pedatrics.

Love Dr. Homan! And the rest of the staff at Chapel Hill Peds. We have had nothing but, exceptional service from them. We just started going here a year ago after being with our peds at another location. They could not help us with what we needed for our son but, Chapel Hill peds could. They have been nothing but awesome!

I was recommended Chapel Hill Peds by another Mom and we love it. Their extra hours make ALL the difference. Being able to go when my baby is sick, not just M-F 8 to 5 is a lifesaver. All of the nurses and the Doctors (including the nurse advice line) have been wonderful. Kind, professional, and knowledgeable.

We have been taking our children to this practice for over 20 years. We have had many wonderful experiences and support, from those early newborn questions to navigating the adolescent years, and they have been a part of our family throughout. Over the years we have been to their scheduled office hours, evening & weekend hours, flu shot clinics, urgent care appointments, and have always received amazing care.
Our last child is quickly growing up and our years with this wonderful group are numbered. We could not recommend them more highly, particularly Scot Woodrum, and his nurse, Jessie, whom we love dearly.

We really like it here so far. They are good about getting you in on time which is always good when you have an infant. Dr. Homan is fantastic. He definitely made us feel calm about our baby's eating and weight gain issues. He not only always makes us feel like he has all the time for us that we need to ask questions, he even called US at home to check on our baby several times over the holidays. I don't know many doctors that do that.

I filled out paperwork in advance of the first appointment, online the week before. They lost the paperwork before I arrived. I filled out duplicate paperwork again in the office while I was there, they lost that copy before the appointment was completed. I filled out the paperwork again. Apparently that last part didn't stick either, they didn't bill my insurance - they just sent me a bill directly. Incompetency definitely exists at the front desk, I cancelled all future appointments and moved to a different practice before finding out if the physicians were competent. No thanks.

When there is a possibility of a charge beyond insurance coverage, it is better reminding the parents. We brought my son in for a 1/3 inch minor wound, on the bill, it become a procedure. How can I know this is a procedure? And the office manager's response to me is kind of rude. "When you walking in with a broken leg, you should expect to pay". So, 1/3 inch wound is equivalently severe to broken leg? "You should know the healthcare system in US" So I need to get a degree of public health before going to the clinic? This could be avoided, but unfortunately turning to be a bad experience.

We were new patients, and calling after the work day when it became clear we needed to see a doctor - Chapel Hill peds got me in that very night and I can't say enough good things about all the staff. They were so nice about my kid's (pretty gross-looking) problem, I was with the nurse 5 minutes after the appointment time, and the doctor was so kind and knowledgeable (he knew just how to interact with my very squirmy daughter). I will definitely go back with the rest of the brood!

Very friendly staff and providers. Great hours. Dr. Braithwaite (Dr B) is very knowledgeable and up to date on current recommendations. She really takes the time to make new, first time parents feel more comfortable and less anxious. I've always been called back on time and seen target promptly. Very nice, clean office. Very happy with my choice in pediatricians!

Dr. Morton is amazing. I can't imagine taking my kid to anybody else. In general, appointments do not run over so I'm in and out of there relatively quickly. I've never sat in the waiting room for more than 5 minutes. Also, they have a newborn room attached to the waiting room so newborns won't be exposed to sick kids in the waiting room.

We love Dr. Morton, nurse Miss Charlie and all of the great staff at this office. I definitely recommend going to one of their newborn/ new patient info sessions to meet one of the doctors and staff to see if they would fit your needs and lifestyle. We love this office because they're open 365 days/ year, have a great nurse advice line and their website is full of useful information. They don't take walk-ins, but if you call and they think you need to be seen right away, they'll make room to squeeze you in.

Kids are kind of important, aren't they? As the mother of 'three under three' I won't pretend mine are always angels, but if there's the slightest thing wrong with them, I want to know they're in the best possible hands. We recently transferred our brood to Chapel Hill Peds and so far I'm very impressed with the level of care, concern and service.
Here are a few highlights: - Smart and courteous people on the phones and reception (special shout-out to Adam who patiently enrolled us over the phone) - Special parking for pregnant and new mums, and a separate newborn waiting room to keep the littlest ones away from incoming germs - Polite, competent and caring nursing staff (so far my favorite is Charley - we've been to the docs 3 times now and there's nothing she won't do to help) - Fun and knowledgeable doctors who tolerate my laundry list of questions ranging from sensible to paranoid ridiculous Hopefully we won't have to go there too often, but when we do, I'm very comfortable with the environment and the good peeps at Chapel Hill Peds.
