Reaching out takes strength and courage. Strength in taking the difficult step of reaching out and courage in knowing that while it may be hard, you're embracing the truth that you deserve to grow and heal. Deciding to start therapy isn't easy, even when you're ready to open up and address whatever may be causing you distress.
I have been working as a professional psychotherapist for over 25 years. I enjoy a diverse practice working with all ages, including young children and the elderly. When you come to me with a problem, I will try to understand the full context of your experiences, your relationships, your talents, and the challenges you confront every day to help you find the most effective ways to improve your life.
All people have resources for self-healing and my goal is to help you mobilize these strengths. I keep up with advances in the field and train with outstanding teachers when game-changing new techniques come along so I can get you where you want to go as quickly and efficiently as possible. While I love a quick 'cure' as much as anyone, I'm dedicated to working hard for you for as long and as often as it takes to get you back on track in your life, while always looking for a new approach or opportunity to get you on your feet again.

If you want to feel like your doctor couldn't care less about you, this is your guy! Perfect place for appointment mishaps, misdiagnosis, and mismanaged care. This is one of the worst places I have been to and only went due to availability and needing my loved one to get in as soon as possible. Please, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

By far the worst experience I've ever had as a patient. I never leave reviews but I had to for this one. First off to see her as a couples therapist then have her ask questions in front of my wife about past issues is mind boggling. I thought couples therapy was to move forward and work through issues. If she wanted to see us separately to get an idea of our issues that's one thing.
But to go about it the way she did I felt attacked to say the least. I thought to be told that my sponsors don't know what they are doing and how to work the steps of AA by Colleen Chapman who doesn't struggle with a substance abuse disorder is appalling! I have two sponsors it's a requirement to be in the mens group I'm apart of, In which one has more sobriety then she has years of experience as a therapist.
To be told they don't know what there doing, it doesn't matter about how many years they have in sobriety, and when I should be working certain steps when she isn't apart of AA or walked in an alcoholics shoes is a slap in the face to the AA community Imo. If I was to wait to work certain steps as she claims she knows best I would be dead which is my fear for anyone else seeking a substance abuse therapist. Please beware. I will pray on this for sure.

I started with Dr. Matossian several years ago - he listened to my concerns, adjusted my meds, and recommended my therapist, Colleen. Colleen has changed my life! She offered education, new perspectives, encouraged me to pursue my interests and now I am living my best life. She continues to listen, ask questions, and encourage me with whatever concerns I bring to her. I am truly blessed to have found her and Dr. M. Patti

I found Dr. Mattosian and Colleen Chapman through a friend referral. I had been struggling and other doctors were only making my life more challenging with medicine that would make me numb like a robot or I would do the alternative route with naturopaths and get moderate results. Colleen and Dr. Mattosian were very kind and listened to my long story, looked at my blood work and found the problem.
After proper medication and talk therapy and some good life changes I've been in a much better spot and kept it up. I've sent so many people to them and run into friends in the waiting room every time I go. The team there is great and they will work with you. I highly recommend them!

Dr. Matossian was rude when I went for my appointment with him. He told me the reason for my mental illness was because of my obesity even though I have had no issue with the way I look and how much I weigh. As soon as the words left his mouth I was up and out of the door. I canceled all future appointments when I walked out and will never go back or recommend him to anyone. But Mary Anne was the nicest lady I had ever worked with when I needed help.

I've had a similar experience to those below. Dr. Matossian seems to know what he's doing, though his personality takes some getting used to. His office staff, on the other hand, seem to be completely unable to do their jobs. I have spent the last three weeks jumping through hoops trying to get my prescription from them (it's a controlled substance, so they can't just call it in to the pharmacy).
First they told me they could have my primary care physician write the prescription and I could pick it up there, then they changed their minds on that. Then they said they could mail it to me, but over two weeks later it still hasn't arrived. The receptionist just says unhelpful things like "That's just how the mail is now." I finally convinced them to write a new one so I could pick it up, which requires an extra hour of driving out of my way to get to their office and back, and it took me three separate phone calls and an office visit just to get to that point. Meanwhile, I have been unmedicated for my condition for half a month.
To say I'm unimpressed would be too kind. If your doctor, like mine, refers you to this clinic, ask for another option. 2018 update: pretty much all new office staff. Things are better.

YIKES! I find it hard to believe that this is the same place where I have been going for the last few years. #1 Dr Matossian knows exactly what he is doing as far as the medications go, and I find him to be a kind and gentle soul. #2 The therapist who I have been seeing for the last few years has been a big help to me. When I first went to see her, I was a depressed basket case, but because of her patience, kindness, not to mention her expertise, I am much better than I was a few years ago.
I am not where I want to be, but I have made lots of progress and am grateful to her and to Dr. Matossian for their help and support. I have no problem recommending both of them.
