To be completely honest, I regret seeking mental health help here. I was an inpatient at the natividad mental health unit to help treat my depression and the nurses and psychiatrist were very rude. When I arrived I was sent to a room where I had to sit down for several days until a doctor arrived to talk to me. Most of the nurses made insulting comments towards me and my depression.
I'm surprised they work there when they believe in the stigma that anyone with a problem like depression is "crazy or insane". It's silly to be completely honest. I would be calm and the nurses would suddenly lash out at me. It's definitely not an LGBTQ+ inclusive place either. Even though I'm legally female (on my ID, insurance, Social Security Card, Birth certificate and everything), been on hormones for years, and had multiple surgeries, they still misgender me on purpose and laugh about it.
I filed a formal complaint and spoke with a representative about it and hopefully some additional training is issued for the workers. The natividad mental health unit is definitely not a place you want to go for help with mental health. Going here was the only thing I regret in life and made things much worse. Try inpatient at the garden pavilion at CHOMP. It's much much better and definitely LGBTQ+ inclusive as well.

My wife brought my son to their pediatric center and received a parking ticket. The security office said they'd take care of it. Today I got mail saying I owed $31 dollars. We called and got disconnected because of the high volume of callers before us. As much as California gets taxes for "benefits" we deserve I feel this place takes liberties on taking advantage of low income families. I'm absolutely appalled by their tactics to try and leach from families trying to do the right thing. We will be disputing their attempts.

My experience at the ER was excellent. Fast, courteous and efficient. The wait time was very short. Doctors and nurses were patient and knowledgeable. Great service. The vaccine clinics have been exceptional. Kudos to all that have been involved. Everyone I recommended the clinics to have raved about the service and the quick service.

I had to go to the Natividad ER on New Years Eve when a cork hit my eye in a freak accident LOL. (I can laugh about it now because I'm totally fine!) I found the staff very professional with helping me. The wait time wasn't too bad and I left there feeling good about my situation. I really appreciated Dr. Powers sense of humor throughout the process. Thank you for helping me!

Cafeteria review: i personally enjoyed the food but.here's the but.so the new straws i get it to protect the environment but i personally had a severe allergy to the straw a few weeks ago so i asked for an alternative and they said they don't have one because it's new regulations according to staff so in a hospital setting environment trump's safety of patients and guest. Did not like that one bit bit in a hospital setting so the lady says bring your own straw and i say i just found out had that been today i found out because i used you eco friendly straw i would have landed in in emergency room here with the hospital.not looking great for you guys sounds like an easy lawsuit waiting to happen just saying might want your medical director to know that. Chances are as these straws roll out more and more, it is likely allergies will start to spike

The hospital itself is very very good hospital great doctors and nurses. BUT THE DISCOUNT PROGRAM IS TERRIBLE THE SUPERVISOR THINKS THATS HER MONEY SHE GIVES YOU A HARD TIME SO YOU COULD GET FRUSTRATED AND STOP GOING STOP TRYING TO GET THE DISCOUNT ALWAYS GIVING YOU THE RUN AROUND REMAINDER IN CASE YOU GUYS FORGOT SPECIFICALLY THE SUPERVISOR THE DISCOUNT PROGRAM COMES FROM THE STATE NOT FROM YOUR PERSONAL BANK ACCOUNT.
To be honest I felt discriminated and offended by the way she would talk to me no one should get this Kind of treatment I'm not asking for them to give me anything free. I guess they forgot that this money comes from the state not from their pocket

My significant other spent a few weeks here before going to Hospice care. The staff was great- professional, caring, compassionate and communicative. Dr. Wendell Harry went far above and beyond what a doctor usually does for his patient. He was always available to me for consultation by phone. He is the best doctor I have ever met! I nominate him for sainthood! Thank you very much to the staff at Natividad.
