This women crystal jordan who works with wash u and is a pre-certification coordinator. she is mentally abusive, cuss at children, threatens to kill you, yet wash u hasn't done anything about it! Do not go to this women at all! She spits on you, try's to physically assault you and your children! She is a horrible person! She also has her family members harass people!

Great campus! My daughter was accepted into their Olin business school with a full tuition scholarship for 4 years. But, she applied and was accepted into 30 schools, and some of them offered full rides. So she has a lot of options. WashU is one of my favorites. I am hoping she picks this school, but it's her decision to make.

I have a ton of washing to do from my time at Washington, so I have to get on that, but first why don't you get on this. (Pulls down pants). One of the most reputable universities in the country, located in the heart of a very nice western area of St. Louis, close to museums and parks and other beautiful stately buildings. It's a dangerous city, but out here it is much more relaxing than in the inner-city areas. It's a grand old set of structures that looks something like a French Chateau or Victorian Mansions, but it's actually just a good University with a great campus that we like walking around and we like driving around. There's not too much in the way of food and drink around here though, and I think they should put a bunch of good stuff for kids in the near area.

An amazing college and an amazing campus. There is nothing quite like it. Home of the 1904 Olympics, and home of cutting edge medical research that is changing the face of modern medicine. I secured an international business degree from this fine establishment and am so glad I did. Great teachers. Great students. Creating great opportunity. Highly recommend.

I graduated from WU in the 'dark ages' and it has been a really wonderful experience to returning see all the developments and the buildings, especially the Sam Fox School and Olin Library. I cannot emphasize too much what the great changes have meant for the standing of the school and in my mind. When I went to wu there were many local students, now there are certainly locals, but the variety of people and places are unbelievable.
I had a chance to look at the special collections (re my contributions to the student newspaper, )and it was a very heartwarming and some what overwhelming experience. INEVER thought I'd be a journalist when I was a student, i think my career goals, so to speak, were to get married and have children and then. I am embarrassed by this last statement, but I must add, that once i had my starter and finisher marriage i went on to create a career as a journalist!
I could go on and on but I think my point is that while I had a fabulous experience at WU what is now available goes beyond anything I could imagine. (I do think the students seem to get younger and younger.).

Beautiful campus! One of the best things I noticed just walking around is the diversity of the student body. Awesome! Lots of construction right now but that's a good thing for the university. I've wanted to visit here for awhile as many if my students apply here. Now I know why. Pretty, quaint, safe.

I've been frequenting Washu more lately since my sister has received 2 degrees from this university. The campus is extremely nice, OMG! The events that Washu host that I have attended over the years are amazing. I mean they spare no expense and go all out. My sister seems to have loved her experiences here, has graduated with her Bachelor's & most recently her Master's.
She informed me of the affordability, which was shocking to me. I received my degrees at other universities and let me tell you my experience was nothing like my sideline experiences at Washu. I would highly recommend this university. If we continue to compete I would definately look into their doctorate program. Washu seems to offer their students soo much support at every turn and added perks. The buildings, classrooms and courtyards are beautiful. The campus is lovely and apparently they aren't slouching in the student dining area either.

Been here since 2010 in UCollege & I like it! My advisor (Carl Williams) is a God send who has guided me along the way with EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT advice! There are some great perks WASH-U offers its students that I'm just now finding out about and overall, this has been a pretty decent experience and UCollege is affordable.something that shocked me!

More than 60% of undergraduates perform research in this school. The university helps students discern their own research paths, and they provide financial support for undergraduate research on campus or anywhere in the world. Last they facilitate the presentation and publication of student research. Typically students choose a major area of study by the end of the sophomore year. Students have ample time to look into subject areas that they may not have touched on before. Advisors meet with students each semester, and more often if desired, to discuss academic and career goals.

Recently, I had the pleasure of taking a 14+++ hr drive that started out in Houston, to Austin, helped pack up the U-Haul, and trek to STL. Why? You might ask, because one of my good friends and pledge brother got accepted to WashU on basically a full ride to their Law School! I was so proud of him, that I wasn't thinking straight when he asked for help moving in. Looking back.
I would have probably still done it but I would of at least hesitated. Upon dropping him off for the first time for orientation I couldn't grasp the beauty of this school. It felt like all of the buildings were small castles. This campus is one of the best I've seen nationwide.

Ok, so for my 100th Yelp review, I had to find something that I REALLY loved, and hadn't reviewed yet. My alma mater, you say? My love knows no bounds. Obviously, reviewing a college on Yelp is a bit non-traditional (and probs non-Elite), but bear with me as I celebrate my special moment. I love you Wash U. And I miss you. I'm ready to go back to college now.

I recently completed my MBA in the professional program at the Olin Business School. My experience is specifically about the business school and my time on campus. Yes, WashU is expensive, but you will get an experience like no other school in St. Louis. Some of the smartest people I have ever met were my classmates and professors. The staff are a great group of people and truly care about your success.
The campus is gorgeous. If you get the chance, spend an afternoon exploring the campus with its amazing architecture and varied scenery. My favorite memories of WashU are being on campus on cold snowy evenings. It is so peaceful and the perfect setting to walk around and to watch the snow fall.

Since this is my alma mater, I think I'm pretty much required to give it a good rating. Positives: -Beautiful campus. There are hardly any better looking campuses around. When I was an undergrad, there were still a few ugly buildings but the university was wise and got rid of them -Excellent academics. World-renown for its medical school, it is also very strong in the sciences and poly sci (kinda like where I am now for grad school- UCSD). Personally, I avoid the sciences, but I still received an excellent education in the humanities. -Its size.
Besides one class with 250 students, nearly all my classes were under 100 students. Upper-level classes generally had 30 or less. I had a handful of classes with under 10 students. Good luck finding that at a public university. There are around 5,000 undergrads. That's big enough where you don't get sick of seeing the same people every day but small enough where it feels like a small community. Negatives: -Too many people from NY & NJ.
Wash U is like an island of New Yorkers in St. Louis. And while I love NY, I don't love every type of New Yorker. -It feels like you're on an island. Students really don't explore St. Louis much beyond the Loop and maybe the Central West End. Granted, St. Louis ain't exactly heaven on earth, but there are some cool areas worth exploring. -If you're wanting to party a lot, Wash U probably isn't for you.
I transfered there after my freshman year and was amused at people thinking partying from Thursday through Saturday was a big deal. Umm isn't that what any studious college student does?

I spent an incredible four years at Wash U. The name carries a lot of weight when looking for jobs or applying for grad school. The experience was truly amazing. I had caring professors (except one terrible classic professor - Rosenberg, maybe?), a wonderful advisor, several professors/mentors with whom I still regularly visit, and a supportive and open community.
The students are liberal, the administration is conservative, and the climate is open and fair - not all that common in Missouri. The campus is small and contained, but you can choose to venture out into the city or the region as much as you want. I really valued the containment. The sports are actually really amazing here, contrary to another reviewer's post.
The women's basketball team broke records for most consecutive wins in a row (the only NCAA team in history that has more than our 81 is John Wooten's 70's UCLA team), the men's basketball team is doing really well, and the volleyball team has won several championships as well. It's not a DI school, but that's exactly why I went here. DIII means more focus on academics, and that's why Wash U is considered as top notch (if not better than some) as the Ivy League schools. That's also why it costs so friggin much you'll never be out of debt.
I had a full tuition scholarship and I still have $20k in loans because of housing and such. But the costs are on par with similar schools. I think how much money you make after graduation depends on what you go into, not what school you go to. I don't know any postdocs making all that much, so you're gonna have to work your ass off to pay back the loans if you don't go into a high salary field.
That said, I went into nonprofit and think Wash U prepared me for a very successful career and an incredible life as an adult with exposure to many different fields. I'm extremely proud to be a Wash U alum, and welcome any questions from people considering Wash U as one of their choices.

Overpriced, I didnt get my bang for my buck here. Yes you read that right. Can I get a refund? My starting salary didnt even come close, even working at a firm that was at the top of my field! Wash U is a very good school, in allot of respects, but unless you are studying Law, Business or Medicine, you wont make enough money after you graduate to justify the* inflated tuition.* Seriously, when I went to school here, it was as if they tried to find any and every way to milk me for more fees and charges on top of the tuition I was already paying.
Not only that, they continue to raise the tuition at their leisure and for what, to shellac every building with granite? Also be aware that surprisingly the campus has been coerced into a far-left multicultural feel-goodism, free speach only seems to apply if you tow the party line. Those that have gone here, know exactly what Im talking about. The campus is beautiful and consistant in character, but smaller than you would expect.
It has a great centralized location in town, near the metro stop and halfway between downtown and west county. The faculty and student body are of the same nice character of st. louis and easy to get along with. The sports teams are weak to say the least, most b/c its not a "big school" and plays division 3A I think. And for such a prestigious institution, why does it have to share the same "washington" name with 7+ other universities. I think they should have just went with "Eliot" and named the place after its founder.
