If your medical problem is such that you must be seen immediately, every effort will be made to see you. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please call as far in advance as possible so we can schedule another patient in your place.
We provide up-front pricing for our range of services upon check-in so you know what to expect based on your condition and available treatment options. We accept most insurance plans, even filing the claim on your behalf to reduce any potential problems with your insurance company. Physician's Urgent Care works as a complement to the relationship you have with your doctor.

I never leave reviews but today is an exception. I was at the clinic for a follow up and the CNA, Suzette Smith, that was working with the provider needs a new career. She did nothing but complain. Starting with the remodel mess to not wanting to go to the Covid clinic to get a vaccine. She said to the provider "don't they think we have enough to do." That made me so mad I walked out.
I didn't want to inconvenience her by having her do her job. And I didn't want her sticking me with a needle. The walls are thin and I heard her complain about a patient that was coming in by EMS to have a port flushed and she HAD to get the room ready. Just to make it clear, This review is not for the provider.

Terrible experience. I'm currently 8 months pregnant and high risk and was needing a PCR test instead of a rapid Covid test. I have been feeling so awful and sick and the doctor comes out and refuses to do the test stating " I leave in an hour and you won't even get your test today. The test takes a while and now I'll have to get all the supplies and run back up here" and she just kept going on and on about how it was an inconvenience for her bc she was supposed to leave in AN HOUR.
I don't understand how someone could be so inconsiderate and rude to the sick not to mention I have an upcoming appointment at the OB and was needing a result before the appointment. Not a good experience and I would not recommend anyone going if they're in need of some help.

My husband and I needed to get a rapid Covid test for a cruise. We booked it online (so easy!) and thought we were all set. But, the guidelines were changed and we needed to reschedule our appointment time. I contacted the chat feature on the Cookeville Med Clinic website and was able to change our appointment times with little difficulty. They were so helpful!

I went to Cookeville medical clinic to resolve a simple issue, all I needed was for a doctor to sign for a prescription for my high blood pressure medication. I had been using the same medication for over ten years with very good results, and I came to this clinic with an empty bottle of this medication that was prescribed by a doctor years ago. I had been using this same medication in Thailand (no prescription required).
After returning to USA for this same medicationa prescription is required. I went to this clinic paid $125 for a doctor to sign for this prescription, I had no other issues. Dr Uzma Karim signed prescription for 1 month no refills, I wasn't aware of this until I went back to my pharmacy to refill! The pharmacy contacted Dr Karim to refill but she refused, later, the next day I returned to this clinic, explained my problem that I was out of medication and I need it badly (I am 73years old) The receptionest was rude and told me to pay $125 out of my own pocket (temporary issue with medicare) to have another doctor sign for prescription, I didn't have the money so walked out with no prescription.
Why would they do this? I think it's all about the money, they want me to return every month, waste my time pay them $125 for a simple cheap $18 medication. This says volumes about this clinic, no concerns about my health, they are only in it for the money. In all my years I have never seen anything like this. Unless you are really desperate, avoid this place!

I walked in with no appointment. The receptionist was very friendly and took my information. She checked my insurance. I was seen by the provider within 35 minutes of walking in. Considering I had never been there before and did not have a scheduled appointment, I feel that was a great time. I would definitely recommend this clinic.

My concerns below were addressed immediately via a phone call and I appreciate the promptness with which this was dealt with. Thank you. Wish the nurse who administered my covid shot is a little more considerate and patient in answering questions and concerns since this is a new vaccine. The nurse who administered mine was plain rude and did not care other than just push the needle in my arm. I am sure there are other nurses and doctors who are great but my experience with this particular one was not good.
