They made me drive there and pay them $52 to print out my health records in black n white on computer paper, because they can't email them. email was invented in 1971. some of the records contain completely illegible hand writing of very important information and some of the pages were blank. they said it will take up to 30 days to fax the records to a specialist. all this during a health emergency that i made clear. earning money from you is far more important than your health to them.

I will start off by saying I know someone who goes here and has had a positive experience but that has not been my case (otherwise they would get one star from me). I was referred here by my PC to rule out RA/related issues. I was not mentally prepared for the bloodwork and tests that they wanted to do here. First off, I was playing phone tag with the office while they set me up in the system and they called back several times to ask for insurance info, ect.
My first visit, they requested extensive fasting bloodwork and asked which lab I normally go to. Figured I would get it done asap so I made an appt at my usual lab and fasted as needed. When the lab reviewed my print out in person, they told me that I needed to go to Quest. No one in the RA office had told me this! So I booked across town to a Quest since I had already been fasting.
The amount of bloodwork requested was ridiculous and I almost passed out during the blood draw. Even the Phlebotomist was visibly annoyed saying she "didn't understand why doctors request this amount of fasting bloodwork." Luckily the Phlebotomist was experienced and helped me though it. I had finally overcome my bloodwork fears after having successful draws (of a decent amount) over the years, but now I have anxiety about needles and bloodwork. Additionally, I noticed that the office had requested MORE bloodwork as soon as the first results came back even though the tests were not indicative of any issues. Uh no, not going back for bloodwork any time soon thank you.
I canceled a follow up as this office is insanely expensive with my insurance and the bloodwork didn't show anything that I'm not already aware of, although the office was pushy saying that "they needed to meet with me to discuss the test results." I'm supposed to be able to message the office/doctors though the patient portal, which would allow me to reach out and give them feedback to reiterate that I will no longer see them but I don't even have that option on my page!
As a patient, I feel that the office did not set me up with the appropriate info (several times) which added to an already stressful situation and makes them seem disorganized. This office may be beneficial for individuals with conditions that NEED to be here, but I am not one of those people.

Almost in tears writing this. I was told to beware of this office but unfortunately didn't take the tip and scheduled as two Dr's had recommended the office. Upon entering noticed the person at the front desk was extremely rude and treated everyone as if they were an inconvenience. I waited over an hour AFTER the scheduled apt time with no one else waiting.
Second appointment was the same even being the first appointment of the day. Long story short this was the final specialist to see after being sick for over a year. Unknown to me my recent lab results came back abnormal. I only found out as the secretary announced in conversation. This could be the indication of what is going on and NO ONE called me to tell me my results were abnormal, to discuss or tell me what to do next?!
I called back to speak with Dr. Kage and see what was abnormal and what to do next. I was told she was busy and all they could do was forward results to my primary for review in the meantime. My primary was confused why a specialist would send me back to them instead of another specialist. I waited almost TWO months for my tests and never heard anything back from the office.
When calling to request them be sent again the office staff was very rude. After another week still had not recieved them. I followed up with my primary and was told they had requested them several times and never got them from the office either. My Endocrinologist wanted to see me to review but they never got results either. I spent the last two days calling the office again to get results for my apt. NEVER did anyone ever answer the phone or call me back.
This is something that is extremely important and could finally be the indication of my sickness and this office has been nothing but horrific to deal with. My health has definitely NOT been a concern of this office. Waste of time and money, simply they don't care.

Overall, satisfied with the televisit. My only complaint is that I wish Dr Kage reviewed my file before the visit. I understand that, in general, doctors are discouraged from spending too much time on any one patient but I wish that was not the case. Obviously, this complaint is not specific to Dr Kage as this is similar to all my medical appointments.

Visited Dr. Barbara Kage (Rh. Specialist), Dr. Duffy Donna (PA), Dr. Priya (Intern) for Rheumatological issues I am suffering. My health conditions and related parameters/vitals were thoroughly screened, understood and explained. Entire staff is very quick, attentive and helpful. Dr. Barbara Kage is already well known in Rheumatology, I highly recomend Dr. Barbara Kage for Rheumatology related issues.

The most thorough drs exam I have ever had and the staff was extremely nice and professional. I wasnt rushed, i was listened to and after testing i finally have a diagnosis. Its been years of poor treatment and being dismissed by my other doctor and I cant speak highly enough of my experience so far with Dr. Kage and her office.
