The front desk staff was wonderful, though incredibly short staffed, and the facility seemed clean. However, my experience with the doctor was less than satisfactory. I was referred to the practice by doctors in the ER at GP Beaumont after a sudden decrease in vision. At my follow up appointment here, the exam lasted less than 2 minutes. I was not given the opportunity to ask questions, nor did I feel like I left knowing why my vision had decreased.
I went and got a second opinion at another opthalmologist and they were appalled that my eyes were never dilated or looked at any more than on the surface. I would not, and will not recommend this practice, especially not in a possible eye emergency.

I cannot say enough positive things about them. Dr Klein has been treating me in recent years and he has taken excellent care of my eye issues including cataract surgery. His expertise, compassion and taking the necessary time to explain things to me is just a few of the reasons I would and have recommended him and Metropolitan Eye Center. I would not trust my eyes to anyone else.

Rude, rude and more RUDE doctors. Felt completely rushed through the actually eye exam for a new prescription. The doctor acted as if she was doing me a favor during the entire examination. Just to make conversation with a second doctor I saw the following day, I asked him how long he had been working at this office. He answered by giving me his complete bio and then said, in a snotty, arrogant tone, Is that good enough for you? Unbelievable! I will never go back.

I had cataract surgery on both eyes in January 2021. I could not have asked for a better experience! Dr. Malach and all of the staff were awesome! They were professional, answered any questions I had and made me feel totally comfortable during the whole experience. And the best part is.no more glasses!

They are extremely nice, helpful, clean and inviting. It was a pleasure being serviced buy them for the first time even though it was for an eye injury. They truly made me feel very comfortable and they are very knowledgeable as well. Their equipment is up to date. I left in less pain than when I walked through the door.

Was referred here by another doctor. Dr. Klein is rude and has no compassion for his patients. He talks loudly so other rooms can here what's happening, no care for privacy. Wouldn't even stay in the room long enough to answer my questions. Didn't even say hello when he walked in the room. Tried asking questions and he walked out. Would give 0/5 stars if I could.

I haven't been there in years since I moved, so I can't speak on the current staff, but I'd like to say that Dr. Klein did my LASIK surgery in 2002 and to this day I still don't need readers, glasses or contact lenses. I'm very grateful for his talent and extremely pleased with the outcome! Thank you Dr. Klein

Worst opperation imaginable. Contacting the board on these guys. Was denied being seen for a possible emergency eye situation. I have had a number of exams, tests, bought glasses, contacts and carried a zero balance at all times. I called to be scene to get a time sensitive exam done and asked if my medical referral was still in place. After checking I was told yes it was.come right in.
After making special arrangements to leave work, I show for my appointment. I am asked for a referral by the front desk. I tell them I was told it was still active. "Its not in the computer " was what i was told. I then said ok, i will pay cash, i just need to get checked out for a possible emergency. No, we can't see you at all. Ok, so of course I am wondering why i was told my referral was still active.
I get on the phone with my doctor to get a new one sent right over. The office manager comes out to argue with me. She's looking at my history there, noting I am not a new person off the street. I am being denied medical services there and am in the process of fixing their error. I am then accused of calling the office ladies names and told if I apologize I can be seen. So, i could be seen in the first place, but make your patient with a possible emergency jump through hoops.
At that point i had zero confidence in this eye doctor. And found a new one. Turns out I had the wrong prescription form metropolitan eye center the whole time. $500.00 glasses for nothing. I have talked to many others who had bad experiences here. No wonder the review score is so low. Never again! Btw invest in a can of paint, real lighting, and flooring. Looks like the someone's basement in the 70's. In the end it was a blessing to not be a patient there anymore. Luckily all was well and my new doctor seems good. Avoid at all costs!
