Her specialized optometric training gives her a unique perspective in the treatment and management of the eyes and visual system. She works closely with the ophthalmologists in managing pre- and post-operative surgical care and specializes in the correction of the visual system through the use of eyeglasses and contact lenses. A native of Champaign, Illinois, Dr. Young was influenced in her desire to care for people by her father, a neurologist.

I was referred to CGC by my primary eye doctor for cataracts and glaucoma, and ended up having cataract surgery in both eyes with Dr Gorla. My experience was great! I found the staff to be friendly, professional, and caring. This goes for everyone from the front desk, to the technicians, to the scheduler (Melissa), to Drs. Gorla and Young. They went above and beyond, working out insurance issues and communicating with me before, during, and after the surgery. My husband had cataract surgery with Dr. Gorla a couple years ago and also had a very good experience. I highly recommend CGC!

I am in my early 20s and needed to get baseline vision tests done at this office's Glenview location due to a medication that I am on. The office is very clean and I really did think the staff was patient, kind, and compassionate. The doctor took time to answer my questions, the staff were helpful when I struggled with the eye pressure test (couldn't keep my eyes open for the life of me), and they were reassuring. Have to go back in one year and I am happy that it is with this office.

Very rude staff. Doctor is very slow. My husband had an appointment at 2 and we left the office at 5. They made me sit in the car for 3 hrs in very hot weather. Doctor have no concern about you. No sorry for being late. Reception is good as jail wardens. Don't go there. Very rude.

Everyone was super friendly! Their technician Michael not only helped me find the perfect perception to fill my glasses but also went into detail explaining the process and how rubbing my eyes aggressively can impact my vision. Defiantly recommend over and over again.

Very disappointed in the staff. My husband is a patient and ran out of drops during the pandemic. The medication person was beyond rude. We are changing doctors. Wish you well. Time with you means nothing. It is easy to find replacement doctors.

I have taken my father here twice in the last month. The staff is very nice, but they run really late. We are still waiting to be called and our appointment was 45 minutes ago. Same thing happened last time. That is unacceptably discourteous.

Not recommending this office. The actual examination with Dr. Gorla was fine, I left with a prescription, he encouraged me to bring it to the optometrist working on their premises. I shopped around to get an idea on price & discovered the prescription was written up incorrectly with 2 different measurements for the reading part of the progressives.when I called the front desk on this they were not nice & insinuated it was my mistake though I said the script was in my hands & I was reading it to him.

I did go to see their optometrist to get an idea of cost.he did not once look up from his computer.was super rude to me saying I obviously did not care about quality & he wouldn't be able to help me.the end! I called him on his rudeness, explained I''m retired on a pension & glasses can be a big expense.he couldn't have cared less.so bottom line - I WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS OFFICE!
